My Last Days in Paradise Before Returning to the UK… 🌴

[00:00:00]Here I am sat getting my tropical island fix having a pineapple smoothie before I go back to the UK and go back to Redcar.

[00:00:09]Going to be a totally totally different feeling for sure.

[00:00:14]One, Redcar doesn't have this view and I'm going to show you the view now.

[00:00:20]Having a pineapple smoothie with that view.

[00:00:27]So, cheers everybody.

[00:00:34]Just a 15-minute walk from my hotel and this place is called Siamit Seaside.

[00:00:47]Again, that's the view.

[00:00:49]Siamit Hideaway is a This is the Hideaway Resort in Koh Samet.

[00:01:04]So, I'll just give you a quick view of the room.

[00:01:10]Quite a a nice big spacious room.

[00:01:18]Oh, the bed's pretty firm.

[00:01:20]I must say.

[00:01:22]Um counter, TV, mirror.

[00:01:27]Just made myself a cup of coffee.

[00:01:30]Tea and coffee facilities, uh safe, plenty of hanging spaces.

[00:01:37]And uh shower room and separate toilet, which is a good idea. So, if somebody's in the shower, you can still use the toilet.

[00:01:47]And so, directly opposite the swimming pool.

[00:01:51]Let's go and have a look.

[00:01:53]Quite a big resort, really. It's It's not on the popular side of Koh Samet.

[00:01:59]As you get get off the ferry, you turn right.

[00:02:02]So, therefore, it's sort of overlooked by many people, I think.

[00:02:09]But, that's the swimming pool.

[00:02:13]I shall be in there tomorrow. I'm here for two two nights.

[00:02:19]So, it's set in a nice nice uh atmosphere.

[00:02:26]It's set in a nice surroundings.

[00:02:34]And then, straight over is the beach.

[00:02:45]So, this is the beach, albeit a very small beach.

[00:02:51]And the sun rises up there. That's the mainland over there where we just come from.

[00:02:56]So, apparently, that's where the sun rises. So, I'll be watching the sunrise in the morning.

[00:03:00]But, it's a nice view. So, breakfast in the morning is with that view, which is beautiful, isn't it?

[00:03:09]It's just nice to chill.

[00:03:12]And here, they have a an offer on buy four beers, get one for free.

[00:03:17]So, that means I might have to drink five.

[00:03:20]It all depends how much they are, of course, and I'll go and have a look and I'll let you know.

[00:03:26]But, life isn't too bad, is it, with a view like that?

[00:03:31]Having a chance and this is only 30 minutes away from where I live. So, my thoughts of the Hideaway Resort in Koh Samet.

[00:03:40]There's good points and there's bad points and I've got We'll start off with the good points. I will say the location is good cuz it's quiet.

[00:03:47]It's a lot more relaxed and chilled out here.

[00:03:50]And it's not in the the busiest part of Koh Samet where there's many, many [music] tourists.

[00:03:57]Look at me here. The hotel's quite busy, but all the sun loungers and the comfy chairs are empty. There's been a few people sat here this morning.

[00:04:11]But, the beach isn't the best.

[00:04:15]But, the views are very, very nice. And as I say, if you sit on the the loungers, you've got the views watching the boats go by every day.

[00:04:24]I just live over there.

[00:04:27]In a straight line.

[00:04:29]Just straight over there.

[00:04:32]So, Koh Samet is well worth the visit.

[00:04:36]The hotel is nice. It's got a nice swimming pool. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are firm, but okay. The air conditioning works. The food here is good. So, give the Hideaway Resort a try if you're coming to Koh Samet if you don't want to be with all the crowds on the main white sands beach.

[00:04:58]So, that's the end of my two days away on Koh Samet getting my final fix of a tropical island lifestyle before I go back home to the UK in another two weeks cuz there'll certainly be nothing like this when I get back to the UK at all. So, now I'm walking back down to the ferry.

[00:05:19]15-minute walk from the hotel.

[00:05:22]She asked me what I wanted a taxi. I said, "No, no. I'll go for a walk. I don't mind walking."

[00:05:29]The roads are pretty quiet.

[00:05:35]But, it's so easy to get around here as well. And you can hire a motorbike for about 300 baht a day.

[00:05:41]I was going to do that, but I've been all over the island. I've been to every beach that's on Koh Samet.

[00:05:46]So, I had a bit of a different holiday just relaxing chilled in the in the location that I got the hotel.

[00:05:55]And just went for a walk down for a couple of beers into the town yesterday and watch the sunset at a nice little beach bar on the way back.

[00:06:07]So, that's it.
