[00:00:00]We're kicking things off here at 4:00 in the backyard with chief meteorologist Kurt Aaron and a very special guest. And Kurt, I think his shirt says it all.

[00:00:23]>> Uh he goes to River Morris. Uh he got an award for weatherman cuz he loves to tell the weather every day to his classmates, his teachers.

[00:00:33]>> That's awesome. Well, Zach, welcome aboard. Have you ever been in the backyard before?

[00:00:47]>> There we go. All right, let's talk about it right now and we'll start off with this. There was some severe weather into upstate New York, not so much here.

[00:00:56]And we are looking at, again, just the winds. We've had a couple of showers in the northern tier, but not much more than that. There it is. Couple of showers right there in that northeast corner.

[00:01:07]95% of our viewing area stayed dry today. We've had the sun break out. It's been breezy. Boy, it was lit up at noon today with severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado warnings, tornado watches, everything. Now we just have wind advisories and high wind warnings going on right now. Time lapse from Pottsville. Look at how nice it is right there. Beautiful afternoon there in Pottsville. And there's our roof cam.

[00:01:35]Temperature right now, 83. So, it is getting a little warm. And there's temperatures around the region. Boy, look at Williamsport, 88. You know what?

[00:02:31]And that's mainly what we're going to see this evening. Most of us again stay dry. There's our steady wind speeds.

[00:02:37]They've been about 7 to 25 mph. And we've had peak wind gusts over 40 today.

[00:02:43]Look at Williamsport, got up to 48, 43 in Scranton, 41 in Mount Pocono. Going to the Crosscutters game tonight? Should be a good night for baseball. We will have some gusty winds out there and it'll be around 80° at the start of the game. Breezy and warm even at 8:00 at night with temperatures still in the 70s. There's a look at your peak wind gusts tonight. Over 30 mph possible in spots.

[00:03:06]Partly cloudy, 58. That will be the low in this backyard. 58 in Dallas, 56 in Montrose, 59 there in Trevorton. Making the trip to or from work? Well, it looks like a great start to the Father's Day weekend. Clearing from some clouds in the morning to some sunshine in the afternoon. Little breezy at times. Got to show you these cuties.

[00:03:47]Looking at temperatures in the 70s and also upper 70s to near 80, especially when you get in spots like our southern tier. Poconos, you'll be in the 70s, 78 Tannersville. And we're looking at 78 in Montgomery and in Shamokin Dam. Rain chances, look how low it stays right through the weekend. Just what we wanted to see.
