[00:00:00]Hello, YouTube. Welcome to my next video showing off my grandfather's pocket knives one by one quick video.

[00:00:10]Uh um This is a Schrade.

[00:00:14]Um it comes from a the National Knife Collectors Association and uh not a lot of guesswork involved here. 1982 looks like when this was made.

[00:00:27]This is the second um pocket knife I found in my grandfather's collection that is part of that um National Knife Collectors Association.

[00:00:39]Um Association.

[00:00:43]Um it looks like they had a commemorative pocket knife each year, at least for a little while.

[00:00:50]And I'm starting to wonder if my grandfather was part of the association.

[00:00:55]Um because there's more than just this.

[00:00:59]There's a few of them. The last one I showed off was one from Case. It was from 1979.

[00:01:07]Um I'll have to look. I'm actually not sure if he had a 80 and 81, but this is the 82. He's got a few more of them.

[00:01:15]But this is the Schrade model.

[00:01:17]Um And it's really in pristine condition.

[00:01:21]Um I did polish it up a little bit.

[00:01:23]There is a lot of dust and you know, and kind of and I'm just kind of weird uh kind of funky material that accumulated on it.

[00:01:34]But uh has not been used. I mean, these um as you can imagine were just meant to be collector's items and it was collected and does not look to be used at all.

[00:01:45]So, not surprisingly, you know, there's no wobble there and uh has a nice snap to it. I believe this is a uh trapper if I'm not mistaken on the pattern here.

[00:01:58]So, it's got that clip point and then this got the spay point blade and uh all real nice looking.

[00:02:04]Um maybe a little bit This is the kind of stuff that was on there originally, this kind of weird I don't know, dust combination. But uh Oops, sorry. I'm like trying to I'm trying my best to uh >> [snorts] >> show these knives off better. I I notice I get pretty close and and stuff like that. So, anyways then trying I'm trying my best to uh not kill you on these pocket knives, but uh yeah, these are real real nice. Um let's see if I can There's the symbol there, the shield um going on.

[00:02:48]I got playing with some zooming there.

[00:02:51]Um yeah, so you know, bone handles, things are right down the middle there sort of kind of not really. Never mind.

[00:03:00]Um Bone or stag. These would This would be stag, I would think, right?

[00:03:08]And yeah, real real nice looking, real pristine Schrade this year.

[00:03:14]Um I have heard it pronounced Scrade and Schrade. I've always mostly heard Schrade, so um if I'm mispronouncing it, feel free to let me know, but um that's what I've been calling them so far.

[00:03:28]And uh like real nice real nice um collectible item here from the National Knife Collectors Association.

[00:03:36]Um they were a thing till I think about 2016.

[00:03:39]Uh start I I I forget when they started, sometime in the 70s.

[00:03:43]Um But a knife collectors association.

[00:03:48]So, pretty cool as usual.
