[00:00:00]The Western world is stunned. As tanks begin blockading the streets of East Berlin, the already heavily protected Berlin Wall gets reinforced with even more soldiers. Now, nobody can escape East Berlin.

The Soviet forces struggle to hold control in Berlin and are often forced to resort to violence. The protesters use guerrilla warfare tactics similar to those we saw in Chechnya in the 2000s. Their heavily organized and underground networks in West Germany smuggle supplies to them regularly.

[00:00:35]Within 2 months, over 200 protesters and 45 Soviet soldiers are killed and many more injured.
