[00:00:07]You know, there's a reason why your hand don't go back there. There's a reason why you can't pat yourself on your back cuz you ain't posted. I got God, so God gave me all this. Do If I could have figured out how to do this, I'd have done this a long time ago. I'd have skipped over homelessness, them two divorces, flunking out of school. I'd have just made myself. But, I couldn't.

[00:00:28]I asked God for it. God gave me this.

[00:00:30]This is God's production. I'm just a dude participating in the ride. So, I stay humble cuz I know it ain't me.

[00:00:36]Ain't no need of me getting a big head and clearly Look, I've done nothing more to deserve this than you. You You You can't You don't deserve grace. Grace is God's unmerited favor. He just does stuff for you.

[00:00:50]You can't buy grace. You can't earn it.

[00:00:52]He just gives it out.

[00:00:54]I just when I pray, I ask for grace. I don't ask for money. I ask for grace.

[00:01:00]Cuz that's what That's what sustains you in life. You get grace, you know. I was out playing golf with an old guy that owns the Mayo Clinic. How much money he got, right? He owns the Mayo Clinics.

[00:01:10]And we're riding and he says, "You seem like a spiritual person. I want to share something with you."

[00:01:15]He said, "Uh justice is when you get what you deserve.

[00:01:22]Mercy is when you don't get what you deserve.

[00:01:27]Grace is when you get what you don't deserve."

[00:01:32]And that's what grace is. I just have a life I really don't I really don't deserve this. I mean, you work hard. You work hard. You work hard and I work hard. And this the life I got? Come on, man. That's crazy. I get to wake up in the morning and tell jokes.

[00:01:48]And they cut me a check.

[00:01:54]If you can live your life and wake up every day doing something that ain't work and get a check for it. That's amazing cuz the average person has to get up and go to work.

[00:02:04]And a lot of people got to do stuff they don't want to do.

[00:02:07]But I will tell you this though, if you're doing something you don't enjoy doing, you should quit.

[00:02:12]You really should.

[00:02:14]You should quit. If you're doing something you don't enjoy doing, >> [applause] >> you should quit. Well, Steve, I just can't quit. Okay.

[00:02:25]But you ain't going to be happy.

[00:02:27]And waking up every day not being happy, that's because you got something that burns on the inside of you that you really want to do, all of you.

[00:02:35]And if you're not doing it, what you waiting on?

[00:02:38]You get one time round the track. You don't get Ain't no do-overs in life. You don't get to You don't die and come back. This it.

[00:02:45]So, if you're not happy, I would rather wake up and do what I was born to do and make whatever that pay than to wake up and do what I have to do and be miserable. I would rather wake up and enjoy my life, but you got to go have to take a jump now. You going to have to be brave.

[00:03:04]And that's what most people don't want to do. You don't want to take that chance.

[00:03:07]>> a cold trick. Like if you ain't talked to God in a while, he'll make you think you shouldn't talk to him cuz you ain't talked to him in a while. That's a trick. God know what you're going through. I try not to be jaded, you know, cuz I'm blessed, you know, God done brought me a long time old on weight. But I remember when 20,000 would have It would have been everything to me. It would have changed my whole A thousand dollars would have moved the needle for me, man. You understand? And I have to remember that. It's been a long time, but you know, you get blessed, God take you someplace, but always try to remember, man. Like people talk to me all the time. They say, man, I was looking on TV, you was crying the other day. Yo, dog, see, you just see this part.

[00:03:47]You ain't You ain't see the trip I've been on.

[00:03:49]And a lot of times when I'm telling people about the trip, I'm remembering the journey. You don't know.

[00:03:55]You don't know the days, man, I was getting ran off people's property for fishing, trying to eat cuz I was hungry.

[00:04:01]You don't You ain't see none of that.

[00:04:02]You ain't see times I got arrested.

[00:04:04]So, when I got here and I be telling people the story, I'll be playing back that in my mind while I'm talking.

[00:04:11]It make me cry sometimes cuz I can't believe what God done for me, man. I just flat out can't believe it. And that's why I tell people about God cuz if God can save me, me?

[00:04:26]I bet he'll save you.

[00:04:28]Cuz you have no idea what I used to have to do just to survive.

[00:04:35]That's why I don't get mad at people, man, when I see people out here doing stuff that's kind of off center cuz you don't know what person going through.

[00:04:43]But if you going through something, man, you got to keep the faith. You know, God is always right there.

[00:04:49]You know, when you You ever get the feeling God ain't with you?

[00:04:52]You know why that is? Cuz you ain't with him.

[00:04:55]He available all the time.

[00:04:57]Just got to keep that relationship. Even if you slip away, the devil got a cold trick. Like if you ain't talked to God in a while, he'll make you think you shouldn't talk to him cuz you ain't talked to him in a while. That's a trick. God know what you going through.

[00:05:10]You don't been away for a while, just turn around, start talking.

[00:05:14]You ain't got to know how to pray, just talk to him.

[00:05:17]But you got to get some type of system going with him. That's all.

[00:05:20]You know, I Like I Like I said, I ain't that good a Christian, you know, like I'm not trying to convert you, but I am trying to hip you to it.

[00:06:46]Every time you in pain, it leaves a gift behind.

[00:06:50]So what happened was after all of that happened I got a call from a company called T-Mobile.

[00:06:58]The Super Bowl is a month after that.

[00:07:02]They bought me down to do a Super Bowl commercial. A Super Bowl commercial in the United States is the most highest watch program on television.

[00:07:12]These commercials are tens of millions of dollars.

[00:07:17]They will pay you millions of dollars to be in a Super Bowl commercial.

[00:07:23]They paid me so much money to be in a Super Bowl commercial acting like I gave the wrong answer to the telephone company to reenact the Miss Universe thing.

[00:07:40]Yeah. They paid me what I make on Miss Universe times 10.

[00:07:51]And then 14 countries sent my wife and I a letter saying that was the most honorable and honest thing they've ever seen in the history of television.

[00:08:05]They gave my wife and I 14 villas around the world.

[00:08:11]There are 14 villas that my wife and I can go to to encourage style, the Maldives, uh Abu Dhabi, uh France that we can go to anytime for vacation.

[00:08:26]So behind that a lot of good happened. That's why when you have bad moments in your life, you just have to ride them out.

[00:08:36]Cuz God always has a gift behind every moment of pain that you have. When a man leaves you there is a gift behind him leaving.

[00:08:47]Sometimes the breakup is the blessing.

[00:08:50]See, sometimes you got to get rid of a man in order for God to give you the man that you really need.

[00:08:57]So sometimes losing a man is not a loss.

[00:09:01]You just have to hang in there. He might have something better for you. So every time something bad happens, you just have to wait on the lesson and the blessing. It always happens.

[00:09:14]You just can't act too miserable.

[00:09:16]Oh, is me. Something happened to me. Oh, my man walked out on me. All men are dogs. No, they're not. You just had one dog.

[00:09:25]He was a dog. Just wait.

[00:09:28]Trust me, I know how that work, too.

[00:09:31]I'm on my third marriage. Trust me, I know.

[00:09:35]I have been with the wrong one, a couple of times.

[00:09:38]And then, but I was the wrong one cuz I kept picking them.

[00:09:43]Then after I got really messed up, I said, "God, tell you what, I'm through.

[00:09:47]You pick the one for me."

[00:09:50]He sent me Marjorie.
