[00:00:00]Sergio, they mentioned on the broadcast that you might be teeing the ball up a little higher. Is that correct?

[00:00:07]No, that's not correct. All right.

[00:00:12]I I I mean, hold on. Let me rephrase. It's correct since since 2020. Okay. It's not correct from from this year.

[00:00:21]You know, in 2020 through COVID, I started teeing off the ball higher when when we had those 2 months off and and that's when I gained a lot of distance.

[00:00:29]I think like they came out with with a stat where Bryson and I before COVID and after COVID were the two players that gained the most distance off the tee.

[00:00:38]And it's because I kind of changed the way I hit the ball. I used to hit the ball down, tee it tee it low, and you know, growing up with Tour Balatas and professional golf balls, you you had to hit down on it to with hit down on it.

[00:00:53]You know, to to be able to to keep the ball down into the wind because the ball spun so much.

[00:00:59]But now with the new equipment, the ball flies much better on the wind.

[00:01:03]So, you can actually tee it up and and, you know, hit it hit it in the air with less spin and and it travels through it.

[00:01:10]So, but I let the broadcast >> not true from this year.

[00:01:15]And then one last question. This course is 7,600 yd, but based on the leaderboard, it's obviously not a bomber's course. How do you How would you describe it and and why the shotmakers are populating the top of the leaderboard?

[00:01:30]Um well, like like any golf course, you still have to hit the shots.

[00:01:37]Um and I think that you know, it's if it was playing it was if it was playing soft, obviously it'd be playing extremely long for for some of the guys.

[00:01:49]Um but because, you know, it's it's firming up nicely, the ball you you getting some roll. So, they move some tees up. You know, there's obviously a couple of holes today that were really, really difficult like three, four, I mean, four uh it was it was a par five, it wasn't a it was pretty much a par five, not a par four today, but um so, I think that uh you know, they've they've done a good mix of uh you know, moving some tees around with with the with the weather conditions that that we had and um you know, because of that uh you you see some long hitters like uh Dean and and uh Herbie um you know, up there uh in in the leaderboard, but you also see guys that maybe don't hit it quite as far uh even though I'm I feel like I'm hitting it good distances this week, but um you know, like G-Mac and stuff like that that maybe hits a little bit shorter that that still have a chance. Right.
