That has put a proper spanner in today's work. We was meant to be traveling 2 and 1/2 hours to a place called Kuakata, um which is like a coastal town right in the south of Bangladesh. It's supposedly got um a lovely beach. However, Shawon has got a message last night saying the ferry today has been canceled. So, we have had no power, no electric, um in his village for the last 48 hours. I've got no battery on my phone, nothing on my GoPro. The problem we've got is there only is a speedboat. [00:00:58]Um if you watch my video a couple of days ago, we come across to the island on a speedboat. In fact, I'm going to overlay a map on the screen um of exactly where we are to show you how remote we are. The only way you can get onto this island is by boat. You can't get There's no roads off the island. So, there may be a speedboat that we can take to get us back to the mainland before we can then get like a a bus, which is going to take like 5 hours as opposed to like 2 and 1/2 hours direct ferry. It's not the end of the world, but we don't know if the flipping speedboat's running because we've had absolute honking weather. This is like a little break we've had. We should pro- I should probably not be filming this flipping video, and we should probably be making a way to the um to the ferry port to get the speedboat while it's not raining. So, Shawon also wants to take me to a local market um that starts in about 1/2 hours time. The time is currently like 7:30 in the morning.

So, the plan of action today is get Sha One a new stone toilet, or at least give him the money to do so if we can't get one, and then, um, yeah, go to the market and hopefully get to Koh Khao Lak beach, where I'm going to be showing you my initial first impressions of that area. So, I'm absolutely boiling. I feel like I need to get to this speedboat ASAP.
