The Strike and Recoil Strategy is a day trading approach for large cap stocks where traders identify key price levels (such as whole and half dollar levels, ATR-based levels, and pre-market levels), then enter trades when the stock 'strikes' these levels and exits when it 'recoils' in the opposite direction, using volume analysis and order flow to confirm trades and manage risk through quick exits.

Professors Live Morning Scalping Large Caps: Strike and Recoil Strategy
Added:Hey, good morning everybody. This is Professor with Day Trading for Success getting ready to start our live streaming.
There I am right there. Let's check our latency right off the bat.
One, two, three, four. About 4 seconds.
Not too bad. So, you're uh you're getting me four seconds delayed there.
Um this is the Thinker Swim layout. And these are the custom scanners that I have coded in to try to pick up stocks that are over 50 to 100,000 per one minute candle in volume as well as certain sizes and things. So I have links to that as well as the entire layout as well as to the custom indicators if you're interested in those. This is a uh five minute chart, a one minute chart, a 15-minute chart all linked together. This is the the QQQ and the spy on one minute charts. This is the active trader I'm trading with. This is the level two above me. I have sort of a bunch of chart a bunch of stocks that I follow here. This is an overlay down here by the way that is um used to one minute chart and and line and lining up uh multi-chart alignment which you can get on indicators as well like this one five minute 15 minute 30 minute 1 hour and 4 hour as well as what is the Q the spy and the SMH doing the ones that I'm um primarily trading. Um that's a quick um um part of what we're trading here, the layout. And then, you know, on inside this one minute chart that I'll be trading on, you have the 9, the 20 EMA, the 20, 100, and 200 of the day moving average, but on a one minute chart, the VWAP, and we have uh up here on this one where it says DTS movers, you have um uh basically um the whether or not it's it's got enough volume, whether it's a lead or not. I'll show you that indicator on another chart. Uh true target projection tells us when to get out.
you know based on the previous everything's based on the previous data.
These are tools indicators that basically read the just the past data within minutes to mo you know moments ago minutes ago hours ago and then they give us a leg up on trying to line as many up to take your trade. MACD for instance with arrows and alerts RSI relative strength index arrows and alert market ma market magnet is the volume profile with a point of control but tweaked. Um, the inner day reaction zones are going to have the ATRs quarter, half and whole, as well as the pre-market uh, low, center, and high.
And then we talked about multi-chart consensus. And then finally, the engine down here that drives it all. You can see inside a one minute candle, the buyers and the sellers, what is their percentage, what is their strength strength, like the revving up engine.
Uh, the multi-chart alignment also goes up and down here on these lines. Let me just take a quick look on the whole and half dollar levels. Uh, is that on zero?
Yes, it is. It just This has already moved out of its It only goes $10 up.
So, uh, wow. Took a hard stop at that 550 level I marked on AMD. They did did a quick trade on that. For those of you on Zoom or it will be on the, um, subscribe service. We'll be still doing some of that prior to um, my coming on here.
Um, and we did another one. And we did an opening trade over on this other account, too. So, you know, we started out with a pretty decent 250 for the day just by messing around a little bit here.
Um, still working on bringing Lightseed over to the join subscribers when I trade on that as well. Um, getting all that worked out so I can do that. I do have the intelligence report and we'll be trading live anytime. um you know, anytime from here forward, but probably closer to 10:00, we'll be looking for the ones that are grinding.
And for those of you that are new here, you know, we're looking for um a range, a high and a low, right? A range, and then we go short off the high and long off the low. Now, the large caps trade in a in their range for the most part every day over and over and over again, which is great because it's very it's a very conservative way to trade. It's much more predictable and we're in a predictions market based on previous data, based on what you can learn. Um, not so much the fundamentals of a stock, but what is historically it it has done shortterm if we're doing scalping and day trading. We need shortterm data and levels marked. So once we figure out what the ATR is on a large cap and we want to narrow that band down to try to take trades in there. Everything from the pre-market levels to the ATR quarter and half levels to where the stock has stopped and abruptly turned around at certain price actions maybe putting a mark there at whole and half dollar levels at $50 levels 105 and $10 levels where the crowd might go in and out of a trade. a lot of shares might change hands at those levels and that affects the price of the stock uh where the stock you know Fibonacci levels you want to mark too sometimes. So whatever floats your boat for finding these levels but and then you as the day goes on you see which of these levels is being respected because you never really know there's no guarantee if you mark a level that it's going to be respected right but a lot of them are. So you you need to identify those first. You identify the overall levels you're looking for. You may want to mark them or may not want to mark them on your chart. You know, I don't mind marking them because I trade on this chart right here and they're not in my way, you know, and there's that the nine and the 20 EMA there. These are multi-chart alignments as I get near them. That's a $50 level I want to mark. And this is the market magnet. So the the indicators are, you know, and there's the VWAP down there. And every one of these lines is a 50cent level. There's a 50-day moving average, by the way. And once it goes beyond $10, these stop marking. Just for memory purposes, that indicator used to be that it would not do that on most stocks. But something like AMD, you're going to get that.
But when we go over and trade a Apple or, you know, some of these others that we might see consolidating. So once you get those levels figured out, then what we do is we even u micro it down a bit more and we will do the strike and recoil meaning when the stock strikes a certain way we hit the recoil the opposite way which might seem counterintuitive but if you've traded for very long you know that a stock just doesn't go continually one direction up and down. It goes up back up back up back. So you catch the recoil and you can look a lot at the levels to see if that's a smart move to do. You know, you obviously want to look at price action and order flow right after the levels.
Those are the most important things.
Your volume, what is your volume, right?
That your price action there. Your volume, that's what I meant to say.
Volume and order flow.
you're coming to that to a level that should be respected maybe maybe um look at the volume and see what's happening and that kind of gives you the confidence to go in and go out of the trade. So that's pretty much it in a nutshell for the strategy. Let's get a look at the intelligent report here.
Oh shoot. Let's do this.
Here we go. Okay, so this came after the market open.
These were the percentages at live, but they've changed a bit, I'm sure, as far as that ticker goes. Here's the general news.
Yeah, up to 95 bucks a barrel. Now, what is Trump doing?
They're going to put boots on the ground. I hope it's not American boots.
But yeah, getting that open would be a good idea.
Um, wow. So, that's why AMD is is moved today. Moving. I didn't even know that was the reason. I just saw it going, so I jumped on it. Um, well, here's our levels, guys. Um, if you want to do a screenshot, um, lots of shorts today in neutrals.
Tesla's got its big earnings after close today. I still got my, um, my swing trade in that.
I regret not taking the 600 bucks yesterday, then just re-entering again today, but whatever. I'm just holding on to it. Even when you do swing trades, you can't help but think as a scalper, like a scalper. So, uh, but I think this is going to be well over 400. uh as early as next week again, way back up there, but who knows, right? So anyway, I will read these real quick and then we're going to get right into trading.
Um if you want to take a snapshot, there's the lower half and again the upper half.
So when I read the numbers, I'll start with floor number, ceiling number, then pivot. I will not say floor, ceiling, and pivot. I'm just going to read the numbers. So, here we go with the spy.
74210 75041 74625 QQQ.
By the way, everything's short unless I say otherwise. QQQ 69581 71068 70324 MU 89519 98081 uh 938. Neutral of SpaceX is at 11719 12959 12339. I think this is going to really go up today, but we'll see. Uh, Nvidia, uh, 201182, 20902, 20542. Tesla 36748, 38421, 37584.
Apple is neutral today. 321, I'm sorry, 32322, 33143, 32732.
Back to short again. AMD 51191 54944 53070 Intel 9768 10667 10217 Marvel 19104 short obvious obviously uh 212 3720170 Hood 196 10781 10438 Broadcom Avco is 37211 3881 38046 Oracle is 12152968 12560 uh opening setups we've passed the open but um you'll get these every morning uh when we do the uh the subscribe service but um these are like trade desk levels so they're they're pretty accurate and pretty it's a interesting. You can never count even with that. Everybody's can be wrong. Interesting. It doesn't It has it here, but it's calling it short today, which is so weird. Um and then here's some of our watch the pivots on these levels here. 931 update on that. So, that's not all that new. Um I'm going to keep this up here for my marking my levels as I haven't done that yet. Let's get to the pivot levels on AMD.
It already made a huge climb.
Let's do it on the five minute.
So, the ceiling on AMD is um 54944.
Wow. Big change from yesterday.
Maybe I didn't mark these yesterday. I don't I was under the weather. The floor is um 51197.
Now, I did take a couple of healthc care swings uh on my bigger account. Um let's see.
Pivot.
starting to invest in those a little bit more for swing trades. The pivot is 5370.
So, we'll see what that looks like as we get into the day with this. We're up to 954.
Um, let me just look at these charts up here to see if there's something else I want to immediately mark the pivot on.
AMD was one of them. It's right at its ceiling now.
I don't see the price action. Must be way up here. Yeah, here it is. Right at its ceiling and the 550 mark. It's right above it.
Hit the broke the ceiling. Hit the 550.
This is still going, guys. This looks like a decent trade right now, honestly.
But, you know, I don't know if we really I don't have a lot in this except I'm just looking at the momentum of it and the uh the levels. Let me just take a take a beat on this to see if we want to try this before I mark anything else out.
Yeah, the Q and the spy. Yeah, this looks like if it if it comes back down to the 550, I think it's worth a buy.
I'm going to go market. I'm going to go ahead and go in. I got it at 55020.
Um, I'm going to try to get a quick trade on that. It wasn't much, but I I did get a I did get a good trade. So, I got in at um 55062 and got out no 56. Wait a minute. Is that right?
Yeah. No, I bought at 55020 and sold at 55062. So, that was 42 cents. So, that wasn't bad with 50 shares. So yeah, I guess I made like 20 bucks on that trade. So the fact that it keeps resting here is is what's calling my attention here to maybe take a take a trade. It keeps it keeps respecting that, you know, that level.
We'll try it again. You know, looking for a swing up off to 550.
It's got to do it pretty quick or I'm going to get out.
Yeah, it's not uh it's not floating my boat here with this move. It's got to get back up there.
There we go. That's decent enough, but I that taught me to just be more careful.
We're not going to We're not going to chase that right now.
And there it goes. But yeah, I thought I was going to take like a 20 $30 loss there real quick. This is going to break down. I looked over at the Q. It was going down. These do seem to move in unison a lot. This AMD with the Q. It's pretty amazing. It must be a lot of people. I mean, the volume's pretty low here, you know, but um what is uh Yeah, Nvidia's kind of chopping its way up right now. It went its high was 208 208.
Tesla's back up to 379.
No, it's back down again. Okay. Uh no, it's right there. 379.
And um Intel was kind of going up along with every Apple went up and down. Now it's kind of fading down. Apple is MU is going up. Now they're put all all of the chip stocks are suddenly pulling back in the memory stocks. So watch out. There's a pullback.
I'm gonna see if I can I'm going to grab that. Actually, guys, based on um the other stuff I'm seeing, it looked like that was a dip. So I took the dip there.
I was waiting for a bigger recoil up, especially since I'm doing market.
There's quite a bit of slip here. So, it's taking way too long. It's It's once again, it's scaring me. I'll take that.
So, that was some money there. So, on that trade, I got in at 5124, sold at 5162. much much like the other one. Um where it's a low share size in case I get caught and I'm doing market just to make sure I get filled. See the volume dropping now. It just increased as it was going up again. So, um you know, this is a good start for the morning, but you know, you're going to want to be careful here.
It's not really what I want and not how I want to be trading the more conservative way, but you know, when it's staring you in the face to make some money, we'll grab it.
Just be ready to pop out quick, you know, if it if it goes against us, you just jump out.
Don't just assume it's going to come back, you know, have a have a max loss per trade and just get out because you just live to to catch it the next time, right?
Without living in fear that you're right at the edge of your max loss per day.
So, this breaks me 300 for the day, which is good. Um, now I will trade longer even though I made the goal.
uh we missed the day. So I'd kind of like to do a little better today for the month for and we'll give I'll give you an update on that probably not till tomorrow on Trader View. Um, remember I didn't really trade on this account yesterday as I was I was still sick and the day before. Um, yeah, I caught some bug that was just I just I I worked out through the whole thing, but I didn't trade because mentally I was concerned a bit.
Um, well, I cannot tell a lie. I did trade. Shouldn't have, but I did trade.
I just didn't trade on stream.
And uh I didn't really trade on this account, but I did do some trades. It's m minor amount.
I had my team looking out for me to make sure I wasn't acting in a in an anomalous way. So because that that was my direction to them, like if you see me just not calling the trades normally, you need to shut me down. And and I I will I would have listened 100%. So, we all help each other, you know. So, that'll that's what's what's going to be great about when we're chatting. We can all work together to get us all nice and green and profitable and making a living and build a real team. Um, and get rid of the trolls, which drive me crazy. And um shout out to the trolls for their successful campaign.
Now you've elicited a behavior that you probably won't like cuz now you'll have to pay to come and troll me. Um there was somebody that said long ago she's passed away now but she she was very wise that when things were going bad for you at the ex you know that somebody else had caused this and said she would say things like oh my god think about how happy they are right now. I mean they're just they're like in a fever pitch just feeling so good. I mean, let's enjoy what they're I'm like, are you being serious and she's totally being No, I mean, everybody has a right, you know, hopefully you guys didn't get caught up in that. And I'm like, well, that's a really nice way, I guess, to think about that.
No, just turn off your pain and then try to enjoy what they're having and then they can never get to you. You know, they can never, you know, congratulate them for success. you know, you did it like, well, God, that's a real turn the other cheek attitude, isn't it?
From a guy that used to have a gun in his hand, you know, that's that's a big hefty change, you know. So, anyway, it's funny. There's all kinds.
You know, in a way, this is good, guys, cuz we might get some grinding on this.
I think I told you guys I went to the World Peace Convention, Congress con something up in upper New York. This is 15 years ago, whatever it was. And I went with a whole group of people and they had peace doves and the UN represent. There was a representative from like every state and country and it was huge. It was a huge thing and they had all these boo you know when you ever you go to an event a convention you have all these booths set up and everything out. It was all outside, but they had a big, you know, stage built and it was like a concert really is what it was like because they had speakers and music and um and one of Sorry if I've repeated the story. I know I have said it before, but I came across this one booth and it had these like G.I. Joe type figures like Ken size, like Ken and Barbie size and they G.I.
Joe figures all over on a battlefield and um some had guns and the others were laying down and the guns were you know on the on the fake grass beside them and there was a woman you can just picture the type right just I don't I don't want to get stereotype um profile but there's a certain type of woman again I'm going to I'm going to get nasty emails but I'll tell you the story and then you can envision what she looked like all on your own.
I said, "What's going on here?" She goes like, "Oh, well, this is, you know, the voice." And I don't remember exact words, but basically the whole thing was that I said, "These guys got killed, huh?" "No, no, they lay down their arms and they're asking the others to do the same." And can you imagine what happens when we all just say no and lay down our arms? And I'm just dumbfounded. I'm looking at her. I said, "So, they're having a they're having a battle here.
Like, they don't they don't agree and it's come to war." Yes. But the soldiers can determine whether there will be a war and they just collectively lay down their arms. And I'm just like, well, wouldn't it be the ones that lay down their arms first and then the others just say, "We'll win this way." I mean, would Oh, no. That's not how it works. I go, "Oh, yeah.
That's exactly how it would work, you know. That's exactly." And I just couldn't believe it. I could not believe that. I mean, yeah, in a perfect world, that would be great, you know. Yeah. All wars over. Just Hey, hey, everybody, let's just stop. Okay. Yeah. Oh, why didn't I think of that? Just Oh my god. I did. I respected her. I didn't say that would be a wonderful thing. Yes. Wouldn't it? It absolutely would be a wonderful thing. Wow. I think you're really on to something here if this picks up. Yes. You know, good luck in that movement. I just whatever. I just And then everybody that's Do you see that lady? Yeah. She's effing crazy, man. Just the idea isn't crazy, you know, but the implementation of it was a tad crazy.
Okay guys, we are at 10. We need to pick a stock. So, this is still fading.
I'm done with my storytelling for now.
You never know when I'm going to go off.
Let me look over here. So, we've got them over here to see too how close they are to their opening. Intel looks way up, huh? But they're fading now. Let's take a look at Intel. Actually looks not too bad on the chart.
Um, I need to just tell the candle to go in the position I'd like it to go and then we'll all be happy. You know what I mean? That's all.
Well, I'll keep that level actually, the 105 level marked. Let me get these pivot levels marked out here.
So, Intel's ceiling is 10667.
Not too far off where it is now.
Where's our floor?
I'm going to get rid of that 350.
The floor is on Intel is 9768.
I still have to look at my keyboards, guys. That's the kind of typer I am.
Sorry to say. And that comes from having other people type for me all the time.
That comes from being entitled, never having to learn from a very young age. 10217.
All right, there's our pivots and ceiling and floor. I'll keep the 105 mark. I don't know how close we are to it.
We're right at it.
Interesting, huh?
So now it's coming back after a rise there. It's kind of stopping at the 105 for now. We may get a tradable area here. Let me check the price action. 2 cents 473 5. Yeah, I don't I think I think 100 shares is safe. These are 50 cent lines, so they're not hasn't been moving like AMD or anything. Um all right. Now, we've got to zoom in on other indications besides levels. So, it did it did respect that 105.
Um, how has it been moving with the SPY and the Q? Not really generally the right swinging, but not like candle for candle like AMD seems to seems to do.
So, this is the 10550 mark here. Let me mark it so I don't forget it's a 50 cent level.
Come on.
Smooth hands.
Coming up to the fivem minute alignment here. Let's see if it's going to really turn around or not.
What are the other chips? memory and chip stocks doing. AMD is going up. It's back to its 550 level.
Apple's still going down to 325 it hit at which is its pivot. Well, that's a pivot from the other day. Nvidia's going down. It's on its VWAP.
Tesla's going down again. That thing's going to spring up, I think, today.
That's my bet anyway. I'm hoping for that. Mu's going down. Everything's going down. So, it's not good to go long right now. uh as far as the rest of what everybody says. So just one more data point to add, not a absolute.
So I would look to go more short as it goes up than long as it comes down.
Just my first take on it. But let me get a look at this scalp pro just to see.
You know, sellers are definitely in control here.
That 105 level could it's making like a flat bottom here. It could just break down here. It's making like a floor like it wants to break down. Okay, so the magnet just pulled up or down. What just happened there?
I think that pulled up, right?
No, I No, I guess not. I saw it just move.
Oh, everything's going up.
Okay.
What's our spread? Just just four to six cents.
I'm going to go ahead and go short there, guys. I'm looking for a recoil down, but I'm going to get ready to get out quick if it's making a movement up.
I'm just going to take a small trade there for nine bucks.
And it did it did keep going down, but um wasn't quite sure it wasn't going to do a breakout there. So did a quick recoil, which can always for the most part count on those to give us short base hits. You just can't stick in and get greedy and keep waiting. What's it really going to do now as it goes $10 against you, $20 against you? Has it recoiled yet? Yeah, it did. And and now it's not doing it anymore. So very quick scalps, you know?
Anything else going on I need to know about?
Doesn't appear to be. We've got a totally overflowing Zoom crowd. All it needs just takes me to not trade for a couple of days or get sick and we get more Zoom people. Are they waiting for me to die? I'm not sure.
Yes, it's summer was one response. It's summertime meaning kick back, have a margarita, play it cool.
I used to drink. I used to be a pretty big drinker. I am not a drinker anymore, but occasionally I like a good margarita now and then if you're in a nice atmosphere for one, but I don't like suck down a bottle in the good old days.
I just not don't have the constitution for that anymore.
Luckily, I don't have an addictive behavior, unless you count gaming or trading.
I don't have an addictive personality. I mean, um, as far as substances is what I really am trying to say.
Yeah. So, it's nice and slow here. We could go off that ceiling again on a short 550 being the ceiling.
Um, it's going down everywhere.
So, it seems like we get it anywhere near the 550 on the market maker.
There's 32. We might want to try another short and just be ready for a potential breakout here. You know, the seller the buyers were pretty weak as it went up.
38 cents on the market market maker there was the best it was going to give me is 38 cents which is not really that good that was a 10-cent trade 18 trade if I grabbed it at 38 I don't know how much it would slip here I'm still looking for a short but I'd like to get a a spike up and then I also want to look at the speed if it's too spiky up I know right it's just a lot to think out.
Liquidity just picked up.
Yeah, the volume's not bad. 118. Wow.
So, it dropped big time. Didn't give me that. Would have been good to grab it up there, huh? Just didn't know. So, will the will the 105 hold it? Will the floor hold it? Nope. You can see things are going down here, too. So that we could have just lost our floor. So yep, that's too far of a of a breach, I'm afraid. 20 cents. So it needs to recoil all the way back up.
And the volume picked up as it did it, too. See how strong the sellers got there. People want to send this down, guys.
I'd much rather go long, but looks like we're going to be into one of those latest short days.
Remember, we started late, so we're going later, so don't panic.
All right, here we go. Here, let's get back up here.
It's 23.
You know what I'm going to do, guys? I'm going to lower the share size so I can scale in if I get it wrong. And I'm not going to wait for it to get as high as I was, you know, waiting for that way I won't miss the trade entirely. Yeah.
See, it already went way back down. What was its high there? It was like 129.
529. 10529.
Yeah, it's weird. It's like I lowered the share size as it slowed down, but that's that's some high volume. It's double the volume it was a second ago.
A lot of momentum sending it up right now.
Let's look for a spike up or not.
That was about the same spot again. 29.
Let me put a smoothing level there.
About right there. Just very temporary.
Don't bet the family farm on that level.
There we go. We just passed it briefly and then it backed right off. Another 9 cents.
32 now. 33 now.
Okay, now we're getting up to the zone where I might want to try this.
Would just be a baby trade. But let's see. 41. I think that's pretty good. I think.
Let's hope this isn't the move toward the breakout.
It's only 50 shares now. So, it's just we'll just take a we'll take a baby trade there. I'm going to go back to 100 shares. I realized right away that was just too small for the for the uh amount of pennies that I'm going for. It was 50 shares just wasn't enough.
Interesting, huh? It is. It still keeps respecting this level. I keep looking over at the queue just to see if it's making a big breakout as this is stalling because that would give be one more data point that hey, it might really be breaking that level to go long, you know.
just just only one data. It's only one data point. Obviously, wouldn't want to go entirely on that, but you'd want to look over here, see if there's a disparagy. Disparagy disparagy sounded sounds funny. Um, it broke it was I was looking down here at the news and I looked up and it broke the 50cent level.
How strong is that? RSI sending it down.
I'm going to grab it, guys. I I think it's going to recoil. So, I'm going for the recoil as it goes up.
It's always a risk, of course.
There goes all my little trades gone in a split second.
We're about at the very most half my full position here.
Don't want to see it break that level.
Got a nice cushion today.
10556.
We're about just a little less than 50 cents off my position.
Everything's pointing to upstill, unfortunately.
Is it going to break that level?
Looking to add. That's why I'm over the sell button, but I uh I really wanted to reject there.
All right, so we're going to go in to 200 shares and look for a rejection. So, I'm kind of all in here on a on a trade here. So, let's see.
Got to wait for it to pull back down now. Hopefully. Got to I got to wait a minute here. This isn't what we would call a standard recoil. Getting it getting a little downward action going on here.
Waiting it out.
See how the buy is really weakened up there and we are at a pivot level. So we that's basically what I'm going on here. We hit the top of the market magnet, too. So it looks like we're going to get a looks like we get a decent trade here. Let's hope it keeps going what it's supposed to be doing here.
You want that candle to close red. I don't know what happened. All my stuff disappeared.
I'll take that. So, that ended up being a really decent trade. So, we just had to wait it out. Um, and I didn't go wait for the 550 because there was enough profit there to take that trade.
So, that lever level held up again.
So there there's a link to get this thing. This is pretty cool. Um I have it on here so when I show the 60-cond ones they can it's actually too big. I'm looking at it now that you can't see it all.
There we go.
won't get cut off by my picture this way.
Come up.
All right.
Now, we want to think about, do we want to try to go long on this off the 105 down here or near it? Here's our VWAP calling it down.
What do we got on this account today?
225. So, we know we're well over with the other one. We're well almost to 400 with just the trades I took on these two little accounts. And of course, Tesla is the big swing happening today. So, it's going back up, guys.
What does it look like? Order float's going up. I'm going to go ahead and grab that on the way up. Looks like it's going to make a stab up.
So, we're going to go for that based on the data I'm seeing.
Uh, turned around.
Does not look as good anymore.
There's a burst.
Do that a couple more times. We'll take that small trade, but we got up there a little bit.
It It kind of shook my confidence to hold it any deeper for right now. So, we'll see.
So, that was a smoothing level that is now no longer necessary. So, I'm going to get rid of that.
That I want to hold. And the 105 I want to hold. And this is the 10550. So though it messes up my my bigger charts a bit. I just uh I need those levels on my small chart.
Doesn't hurt. The five minute looks pretty readable still. So we we fell short of the ceiling both times. It went up. Our floor is way down here, right?
Yeah. There's the pivot floor.
As I was riding it long here, it was really it was really uh weak. So, I just took took the profit and got out Apple's still fading down to 324 now, which seems really high for Apple, but it was much higher. AMD went way above the 550, came down, broke it, now it's resting. That 550 is a real level for it. It's right at its ceiling, too, for the day on the trade desk ceiling. So, it's pretty collable over there.
recallable, but it's more dangerous. Oh, it's down to only 26,000 volume. So, that's very risky.
Yeah, I was going to mention this other indicator, and I never finished, but that's the day trading for success indicator, uh, TTS indicator that's still available for free. Uh, if you go watch the video, um, that I put out two Sundays ago, like the last one that isn't a live video, you can watch this video. I'll tell you how to get this for free. So, it's a great it's a great um indicator that shows the last and the current volume for any any uh stock you put it on. Well, any chart and then it switches to the stock.
That is my gift to you for now. You should grab it.
This one's definitely slow and which makes it easy, you know, steady to make money but and steady to lose money. So you I mean as far as too it's slow enough so you can't lose really fast. So now we have a new smoothing level where it just seems to be grinding which is even even back to here. It's like right around right there 10538.
Yeah, even further back. So this seems to be something's happening at that level and we just want to take note of it for now till it no longer is needed to be respected.
There we go. Interesting. That was not that did not show up on order flow.
It's not really supposed to be going up.
supposed to be going down right now.
Huh? There it goes.
It's like they knew it before I knew.
That looks really strong still.
Yeah, I'm going to grab that, guys. It looks like it's not done. So, I'm going to go for that and see if we can get a quick little trade there. It's littleler than I thought. Littleler. Uh, yeah. And there it took off. Ah, I'm looking for a short up here now.
Let's see if we can get up here rather than be confident in the long. I'm more confident in riding it down if it gets up here.
So, yeah, this pulled up too with it. It actually didn't even look over there.
Okay, let's see if it's going to make it all the way to its ceiling up here. It just fade. MACD wants it to go up.
Here's our market maker level. So 106.
Let's I got to mark the 106. I don't know why I don't have that marked.
The whole dollar level that should be marked even though it busies things up.
The steady climb is good, you know. It makes it better for a breakout.
It's like it's got foundation under it, you know.
But what's happening there?
You ever watch him build a marina? You see the big pile drivers? You know, I kind of imagine that sometimes when I look at the candlestick action like under construction, you know, how deep is the sediment? How deep do you have to put that piling in so it won't move around? You get some maybe more virgin ground.
Seems like our virgin ground right now is around 10538 and 105 up 105.
It's really slowed down. So, it's kind of wait and see unless we want to grab something that's more volatile.
Here we go. We're almost to the 106 at least.
95.
Can we burst up there? What's it look like? Looks like it's still strong, guys. I think it's going to break that.
RSI said down.
Look at the strength. And the volume picked up as it was going up. So, I'm not going to short that yet.
H you done? Was that it? That was a gasp and it's over. Wow. Okay. Hard to read that.
That would have been a $20 trade had I picked it up on a short.
I was I was contemplating it and then I looked at the strength and I was just like, I don't know.
I don't know. I'm whining.
Well, it appears I'm like 90% recovered from whatever that faking thing was.
It's going for it again at the 106.
It's just not It's not enough to to do it, guys. It's just not enough enough data.
Things are not lining up properly.
What else do we have here? What's Tesla doing down 377? It's definitely grinding at the VWAP. Why don't we take a look at Tesla? Although, you know, so close to earnings, it's not smart. It's not smart to trade that.
Marvel is doing some wonderful things.
Let's see what that looks like.
There's our 200.
It's just about to break out of its whole and half dollar levels.
So, it went straight up, huh? Like kind of like AMD did.
Let's set these levels on Marvel.
So, Marvel's ceiling is 21237 and the floor is Marvel's floor is 19104. four and the pivot is 201170.
There's our pre-market data right there.
It's kind of in the mix of everything, which is good really. So, it broke its pivot right at the open.
Didn't make it to the ceiling.
What's it moving like here? 78.884.
That's That was 6 cents in a split second.
It's very stilted. What's the volume here? 35.
Huh. Yeah, the volume's a lot weaker than I thought here. I really like it over 50K, but what we can see if there's an First of all, I'm not going to go 100 shares on this. There's our spreads a little worse, too. So, I'm not sure it'll pick us up on I'm not sure I've even trading this still. So, let's just watch it for a minute.
There's a tweezer move on the five minute like way down here.
Yeah, that's way down there. So, just straight up nothing but net heading toward the ceiling.
Be the better way to play it right now.
Even though they they got a nose bleed up there.
What are we at again on this one? This account 237, guys. That's uh it's over 4K a month.
So, almost 5k a month just on this little account.
makes a difference in your life. Just these slow, steady, very conservative trades.
What's going on here exactly here? So, this looks like a potential buying opportunity. I'm just looking at it closely. I'm going to try the bid if I get in it.
We're near the 50 cent level. I might try it. There's 73 74.
Wow, that was that was a dip. I'm going to try to There's 55. I tried to grab it there.
See if it's going to get me or not.
Nope. I missed the trade. See, that's why I was running. I'm kind of checking this stuff out to see if I should be doing market here. That's too long. I got to get out. I don't know. I I can't get a fix on the data here.
That was a a market trade though for 10 10 bucks or so depending on how it filled me which taught me that if I want to trade this I'm going to have to go market volume is continuing to lapse down.
That's a $10 level right there.
I'm going to take it 62. I think that's pretty good. Let's see if it's not If it just keeps fading, then I could be in trouble. But I I think we're going to get a recoil based on what it's been doing. So, let's see.
And for a little bigger recoil, take ah it went down as I pushed it, but I was going for nine bucks. But it's still a it's still a trade, you know. Still a green trade.
I just went for the recoil. I didn't go for the bigger whole candle scalp. Um because obviously that would have been better.
This is moving. Marvel is moving with Q.
See that? Look at the look at the candles almost exactly which means AMD is probably doing the same thing. Uh it's close.
AMD just had a uh 32 volume 32K volume, too. So, they're both trading about the same, which is just this is getting to be too small.
Yeah. 18. Yeah, that's just too small. I can't trade that. Not effectively, anyway. I just This You'll see the spread get wider now.
Yeah, this isn't floating my boat, guys.
So, let's see if we can find something decent that's really moving. Intel's back up to the 106.
Let's take a look at uh MU's fading. Tesla's down to 13,000 volume. Everybody's waiting for the earnings.
Our other Nvidia is got enough volume.
Let's see what it looks like. It's probably just too slow, you know, too grindy, too many. There was a time this was so action-packed to trade and it's just Oh, that's actually pretty good. I just watched it move 10 cents in a split second there. So, well, two seconds maybe. Hit the VWAP on the queue.
Okay, let's let's set this up. Let's see if Nvidia is our answer.
Of course, I'm going to do this. So, I shouldn't even been adjusting that yet.
So, our ceiling on Nvidia is what?
20902.
I'll just do the pivot now. on Nvidia is 20542.
Okay. And we'll do the floor.
Nvidia's floor is 201182.
It's calling for Nvidia to go short today.
It's gone up two bucks. So, it's wrong about that. So far right around the pre-market high. MACD just sent it down.
Here's your VWAP for support. And it did it just been respecting that up and down a bit on the short-term data here.
I'll keep it at 50 shares for now.
That's an up move, guys. We're going to grab the up move on this. Let's see how the share size looks with this price action.
Should be spiking up here.
Wow, that was not much of a spike, guys.
Seriously, it's only a two cent spread, so I'll stay on market, but I should I thought I was going to see like 8 10 bucks there real quick. Well, actually, when you look at it, it's pretty it's pretty weak on past data there to make any kind of money with only 50 shares.
So, this is the way the market's been recently. It's very hard to get these, you know, get any money with these grinders here.
Plus, you got to pay the exchange fee, and it's not too much with 50 shares, but come on.
It looks like it's going to go down.
That's why I just I kind of want to get out of the trade now, like with anything. Yeah, though. Here comes some price action. It's going to pull the magnet up. So, we should we should get a burst up here. Let's see. Push up like a springboard. There it goes. Now, give us a little spring and we'll take that tiny $3 trade. Just ridiculous. I would need higher share size and a lot more patience right now to trade this. It is.
It is going up. I mean, I feel like I've been trading on this session for like two hours. I know I haven't. That's what it feels like.
AMD just went up to 28,000 from 15,000 and it broke its 550 mark. Just broke the 550. Let's see if there's something we can grab quick here. See how strong it is there. Um, it's our winner for the day.
Spread is still it's still um ah I know I was going to say I want to short it up here. Started to go down.
Where's our five minute? Uh let's mark some five minute levels here.
So that's a that's sort of a smoothing level on a five minute. We're right at it. And then here's your tweezer move, which is would be a great spot to hit the short right there.
Let's try to zero in on this. Just hopefully all the volume won't leave while I'm trying to We lost the first momentum there of that first move a minute ago.
It's at that $50 mark.
It's right below that $50 mark.
I'm going to grab it there, guys. Uh I I'm going to hope we're going to get a recoil off the $50 mark there. It's definitely, you know, more risky of a trade, but I grabbed it and got it. We were at 237. I don't know where. Yeah.
So, that was a decent trade and it hit me both ways on the market, but I got I managed to cap capture a base hit there.
Yeah, I saw it flipping around. Order flow flipping around right at that $50 level. I snagged right below it. Looked at the market maker to get it and got got out quick just in case. Just in case. It did one of those.
Boom. What are you doing? You trying to make money on us, Mr. A and Mr. M?
We're telling Mr. D.
All right, that makes no sense.
That was my gangster chip lingo.
Gangster chip.
We're doing 50 cents.
Here we go. Looking for a short up here, guys.
That uh is at 5138.
Wow. I almost snagged it there. That was close. I almost grabbed a short.
Already had a nice recoil.
Got it spike up there again.
Yeah, sort of. Wow. I'm going to take that. That got me at 34. All right. This is a risky trade. I'm waiting for a recall down.
It's hurting me.
We're calling it like we sees it. Should be recoiling.
One more big recoil down. It's going to slip on market. So, there we go. That's big enough. Big enough. Yay. We did it. And now we're at 275.
Yeah, it went a little further after I picked it up.
So, I did I did feel a little apprehension there, but not too much. I mean, it could I started to do the math real quick. It went up to 53. Oh, it's $150 down before you have another resistance level, which I did not want to get to in case it had a breakout up there. Just capital management on these little short trades.
So, this is at least more interesting to trade, but it's definitely riskier.
You have to really be careful with your share size and not just telling yourself, well, the trade has to work now. Has to work. I'm going to get back in for triple a chair size and make it back really quick. You know, that's when you start getting hijacked and I don't think I missed a trade today, did I?
I think they all came. I think it's 100%, but I'm not I'm not 100% sure.
Is that what you guys saw? You don't even know. Never mind.
For some reason, they get busy with their own trades.
How dare they not watch? Dare they not watch every move I make.
Growing up in the Bahamas and got we've gone around the world in a schooner. 66 foot John Alden schooner but ended up building a fiberglass houses in in Andros Island in the in the Bahamas and u we went around the whole Bahamas and we would be in anchorages and stuff and just I grew up just as soon as it got light I was in the water didn't get out till it was dark I was like diver extraordinaire free diving just really really good at it with my Hawaiian sling made my own spears and all that stuff so I fought off sharks every day. They were just nothing to me. Just like, "Oh, no big deal." and everything. My point I was going to make was though, um, where I got the attitude of like, you know, people should care about what I do or whatever, you know, like that sort of egotistical attitude was that the other families in the an there's a lot of families out in the anchorage.
You'd have like, you know, two or three power boats and like 15 or 18 sailboats when you get to a busy anchorage where they're laying over for a day or a week or waiting out a storm or whatever. And I would go out diving and I would bring back bags, you know, net bags of fish and lobster. And once we had enough for our family, you don't have good refrigeration on those schooners and stuff, then I would just go take it around to the other other boats. And they were just so appreciative and everybody had something amazing to say about me. And I'm like, "Yeah, yeah, that's right. That's right." But it builds you, it builds this expectation of wherever you go, like I'm that guy.
You know, just as a little kid, I was a kid back then, you know, 10, 11, 12, 13 years old, you know, just uh putting that in your head, man. Putting that in your head, you're all that. You can't ever shake it, but it gives you the confidence to go into business when you're 12, you know?
So, of course made me feel so good too. So it's it's resting at that 50 level there. It's just when I see that I get very very very afraid. 14,000.
There it goes. That's actually going to go up. I'm going to grab that. It hit me. It hit a bad fill, but I think it's still going to pop up. So I went for it.
Yeah, I tried to get it below obviously below the 550. Yeah, now it's hurting me. So that it did not go up like I thought it would. It hit the ceiling.
So I might have to take a loss here after I just bragged about my uh Oh man.
Waiting a little deeper, but that 100 bucks would be it for me on this trade.
Yeah, it did. It did not react as I expected. So, that was went right against me there.
recovery sign.
Looking to add.
Going to break that. I'm going to add there 100. That was green for a split second. Take it. So, it ended up working out really well, but it almost shook me out there and I saw that consolidation and I had a little bit of hope that that that general level was going to save me, but I might have been over a 100red down before that even happened. So, that was a that's why I say trading this is so risky. So, 289.
Um, wow, it slipped a bunch. I thought I had more money than that, but 208 now on that one.
Yeah, I think we'll uh that woke me up a little bit getting uh going for 10 and $15 and being down 80 suddenly. Um telling my fish stories and losing money. I didn't though. But all right guys, that's gonna I'm going to call it a day there. I will see you back in the morning. Remember, I'm coming on a little later. Uh, so that we're it's after the open I'll be coming on. So, I hope you guys are doing well.
Let me know in the comments what's going on or emails and I will talk to you soon. Have a great day and go green.
