While antisemitic hate crimes surge across New York City

[00:00:00]This is a new statement from Mamdani in announcing his budget. He took a question on hate crimes and he said this.

And as we've seen that Jewish New Yorkers constitute a minority of New Yorkers across the five boroughs and yet constitute a majority of New Yorkers who face hate crimes in this city. And the work we want to do is not just going to be responsive, but preventive. And this will also be done alongside the work of the mayor's office to combat antisemitism. Make you feel any better?

Actions speak louder than words. Get out in the street and get behind a microphone. Go to these neighborhoods and apologize to the Jewish people.
