Canada has formed a historic alliance with Europe by becoming the first non-European country invited to the European Political Community meeting in Yerevan, Armenia, while simultaneously joining the EU's $175 billion SAFE defense program and establishing a global Defense Security and Resilience Bank on Canadian soil, representing a significant realignment of global democratic alliances against authoritarian powers.

CANADA CHECKMATES TRUMP: PM Mark Carney Forms HISTORIC New ALLIANCE with EUROPE #meidastouch #trumpAdded:
This is the power move we've all been waiting for. Canada isn't furious anymore. Canada has moved on and they have checkmated Donald Trump so perfectly. Prime Minister Carney attending the European Community meeting in Yerevan, Armenia. A historic meeting, the first time that we saw a non-European country attend. And not only did a non-European country attend the European Political Community meeting, but Prime Minister Carney was basically leading the meeting. A new leader of the free world, Maple Midas, and it's your incredible country. The land of free, the land of opportunity.
Oh, Canada, leading the free world. What a sight to behold. And this is Donald Trump's worst nightmare. Now, reflecting on this incredible trip, Prime Minister Carney spoke earlier today about reestablishing international order as the United States America First is now America alone or Trump the Putin bootlicker. Bye-bye, Donald. Canada is in charge now. Let's play this clip of Prime Minister Carney from earlier today. Let's play. Uh which is a belief in democracy, uh the rule of law. Uh that we're all equal before that law.
And imperfectly, uh the international system had variants of that, but I'm more Boris, part of her very distinguished career uh was to make sure that those who transgressed in the most egregious ways those rules, norms, standards uh were prosecuted and brought to uh brought to justice.
Um That system, as I've observed in the past, and I'm not alone in making this obs- these observations, uh has been greatly weakened. Um and needs to be rebuilt and rebuilt uh perhaps in a different way, but rebuilt based on the same principles. And Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, others uh countries share very firm convictions uh with those principles. And we will work together uh to rebuild. And obviously, there's a critical mass in Europe of countries, 27 members of the European Union, but then a broader grouping that you saw in that meeting in Armenia, over 50 countries uh that have some form of association with Europe, and either fully support or are moving towards uh those principles. So, that's what I meant by those comments, and I stand by them. Just to remind you one of the key and core messages of Prime Minister Carney while attending the European Political Community meeting in Yerevan, Armenia was this. Let's play it.
>> happened in the last 12 months, and uh some of it we saw coming, but more of it's uh as uh has occurred, and uh the importance of uh alliances with uh reliable partners, deepening those uh those alliances uh has become ever ever more so. It's important to note as well why this meeting was in Yerevan, Armenia. It was a message to Putin and to Putin bootlickers like Donald Trump that Europe is going to project strength in areas once thought to be Soviet satellite countries. So, Europe is expanding even if Donald Trump tries to harm NATO. I'll remind you Prime Minister Carney's meeting with Zelenskyy brought tears to my eyes at this meeting yesterday. Let's watch it.
Okay, should I pretend to be the host?
Yes. Yeah, fantastic. It's a great to host in Europe.
Uh uh the hero not just of Ukraine, but Europe and the world. Uh dear Volodymyr, uh it's it's uh you know, again, we you have uh all of Canada behind you, uh standing with the the people of Ukraine.
Uh we are pleased that uh today we were able to uh uh add to our uh commitment, uh and uh we will continue to work uh and find ways uh to work together uh to strengthen uh your struggle, and to ensure peace when it comes, and it will come, uh that it works and brings the prosperity uh that uh the people of Ukraine deserve. Thank you very much, dear Prime Minister. So, uh I'm happy that we have such uh strong relation between our countries and between both of us. So, yeah, and uh we are thankful for your decision.
You told me about your decision, how to send sanctions, and thank you for this.
And of course, I think today's meeting followed through.
Uh the morning meeting was very important. Of course, we we we have to push Putin to the peace to diplomacy, but uh when he will be ready, of course.
But we have to know that we are not alone, and I'm happy that we not not only know, we feel it because of the support of our friends. We are thankful to Canadian friends, to all the people for such strong support.
Yes, welcome to the visit of our friend.
All right, thank you.
All right. And then of course, we have Midas Canada, Charlie Angus putting it all in perspective. Here's what Charlie had to say. Let's play it. Hey there, Midas Canada viewers, resisters from all over, Charlie Angus here. So, this week, Prime Minister Mark Carney was participating in the European Political Community meetings in Armenia. This is significant. It's significant that Europe has sent all of their major leaders to Armenia to work with the Armenians because Armenia is right under Vladimir Putin's nose, and they're sending a message to Vladimir Putin that democratic countries like Armenia have much more in common with Europe than they do with the authoritarian regime of Vladimir Putin. The other reason this is significant is that the invitation to Canada makes this the very first time that a non-European leader has been invited to those talks. What we're seeing is a dramatic rewriting of the global alliances, the global alliances that have been in place since the Second World War. And Canada, which has long been the scrawny little brother of NATO, is at the center of a unprecedented realignment of democratic countries who are going to stand together uh in the face of the threat from the gangster Putin and gangster Washington.
And the one thing that you can expect, my friends, is that the United States is not going to take this lying down because what Canada is doing very clearly is challenging the fundamental principle of Project 2025, which is that the United States will be this gangster overlord for the hemisphere, taking what they want, demanding what they want, and making us a vassal state. And we're showing by our work with the Europeans and our integration, increasing integration with Europe that that is not going to happen. That's the state of the world that we're in right now. So, we're going to talk about that. More from Charlie Angus right here about what he refers to as strategic sovereignty.
Charlie, take it away. Okay, so we're seeing a number of dramatic shifts that are happening with Canada at the center of it. Certainly, as I said, the fact that Canada was invited to the European Political Community meetings in Armenia is significant. The fact that Prime Minister Carney and President Macron of France are talking about building this notion of strategic sovereignty between Europe and Canada. Canada talking more and more about our shared values, our shared history with Europe, our shared sense of democracy, pulling us away from our traditional [snorts] relationship with the United States. Canada is the first country to be invited into the European Union's um security action for Europe, the safe program they call it, which is a major development fund worth $175 billion US for military procurement meant for Europe, but it is going to include Canada. Now, Canada has augmented this with a call for a global bank that will serve not just NATO, but allied Indo-Pacific countries, the Defense, Security, and Resilience Bank.
And that bank is not being set up in London or Paris or in Munich. It's being set up in Canada.
It's showing the growing influence that Canada has. The fact that when Prime Minister Carney was in Armenia, he was talking about the economic relationships and the strategic partnerships, the fact that we've signed $18 billion worth of critical mineral trade with Europe over the last year while Donald Trump is saying that copper from Canada, which is essential for the American economy, is some kind of national security threat to the United States.
Canada sees its future with Europe.
Now, uh what are we seeing from the United States? Well, Donald Trump is pulling troops out of Germany. That's sending a message. He's been attacking NATO from the beginning. He has served the interests of Vladimir Putin. He time and time and time again, he's undermined the Ukrainians and tried to promote the interests of the Russians in the war in Ukraine in undermining the NATO alliance. But here's the thing. Vladimir Putin is getting more and more isolated in Russia. The Russians are losing 30,000 troops a month. They cannot sustain this level of casualties.
Ukrainian drone technology and robotic warfare is taking the fight to the Russians to the point that they're saying that Vladimir Putin is getting more and more isolated. He can't travel around for fears that they're going to knock him off. There's actually fears of a coup. So, what's sustaining Vladimir Putin right now?
The United States. Their vassal state.
The fact that Donald Trump has been ridiculing NATO, calling us a paper tiger, uh saying he's pulling the troops out of Germany. This as the chaos in Iran continues to grow and the economic shockwaves are starting to really really hit home. But by pulling troops out of Germany, Donald Trump is saying that the United States is not going to be there in the alliance anymore. But here's the significant thing.
In a CNN interview on pulling troops out of Germany, American strategic thinkers said they quote, "Washington wants to focus on challenges where only American power can play a decisive role.
And that's in its own hemisphere.
So they're pulling troops out of Germany so that they can have the power to have a decisive role in our hemisphere. Well, who are they threatening? Brazil?
Mexico?
Canada?
