Whaley Jewell 2026Added:
My name is Morgan. I am here at my grandma's property. My grandmother inherited this property from her mother, Patsy Johnson. Patsy Johnson and her whole family have this property for over 100 years. This property is a little under 2,000 acres. It is beautiful. It has been in our family for a very long time. As you can see with all the cows, the bulls, and the calves in the background, the conservation easement will be really important to us because we have no desire to develop. Patsy Johnson, who's also Patsy Whaley [music] and Doc Whaley, would be super proud of this. I believe my great-grandparents are looking down and are super happy and supportive of this decision.
>> [music] >> We definitely want to keep this land.
We're seeing every single area being developed, being sold, and that's their decision and they have the right to have that decision, but our decision is to protect it and to keep it. What you're looking at in the background, you're on Canoe Creek Road. This is a few miles behind my grandma's property. Whaley Jewel LLC is not interested in developing and as we know there are so many properties that are developing in Osceola County. We do not want to be one of them. You look around, you'll see the difference on what our land looks like and the other developing lands around Osceola County. Say grandma. Hi Morgan.
This is Nancy Whaley Jewel, the actual owner of Whaley Jewel LLC, and she is the best and always wants [music] to keep her land and she does not want to sell it.
>> Right. This land has been in her family for a very long time. Whaley Jewel LLC would love to maintain the legacy by keeping its name and keeping it from being developed through conservation easement.
