NEXT LEVEL PCVR! Apple Vision Pro Now Plays SteamVR Games Better Than Ever!Added:
Apple Vision Pro lovers, VR lovers, XR lovers, it doesn't matter. What I'm about to show you on the Vision Pro proves is one of the most amazing PC VR uh headsets that you can actually purchase uh thanks to this incredible app called KRVR. Let's get into it right now. [music] All right, so let's jump right into it.
KRVR is actually using the Cloud XR protocol from Nvidia and uh in partnership with Apple on the Vision Pro thanks to the new 26.4 update. There's a lot of cool statistics. I'll put a graph up on the screen, but what is the most important information here? When I hit connect, I can connect to my PC, start a session, and I'm already That's right, already ready to get into my PC VR setup. I can go straight into Steam VR. We'll do that in just a moment, but I just want to show you how easy it is to launch into a game. First, I can also showcase my desktop here, what it actually looks like in the background while I get things prepared. So, you can see how quick this is moving. Hit on my games. I can go through the list of games that I have currently set up with this. I can switch between OpenXR or Steam VR for these different applications. And now, I'm going to go ahead and hit play on Beat Saber here, and watch just how fast all of this gets done. I'm going to go ahead and click this button, get out of here, and you can see it's loaded up on the PC, and I'm actually in it right now. This button here that you see, once I click it, will show my hand actually inside of the application, which is really cool. That's not all you can do.
You can also change the way everything is viewed. So, you can see now I can see part of my world also mixed in with this. So, when I stand up, you can see You can see my floor, but when I hit this button again, we're back into full screen. I can also turn off that piece to where I only see the in-game controls. Go ahead go ahead and move this out the way and I'm already in.
This is smooth. You see it's running right now at about 89 frames. We'll put this a little closer so you can actually see it.
Let's see it 90 now. So, you know, I can just get in here, go through some songs, and actually play actual game here. So, this is really cool. Ready to jump in. I'm not going to play a lot of this. I just wanted to show proof of concept just how fast I'm able to jump into a game and how good it looks. Like you guys are seeing this.
It's running really good inside the Vision Pro. It looks really great and it's working. [music] Like I'm actually in PC VR. And you know, when I'm done, when I want to stop, I can get to the menu. I can go out of here, exit out, and go into another game. So, you know what? Just for the heck of it, let's go ahead and launch a different game here.
So, I'm going to open up the game access here and let's go choose let's do Max Mustard. Let's go ahead and do Max Mustard. So, before we get into Steam VR, I just want to show Max Mustard. So, it's going to take a little second to load up. And once it loads up, we're going to be ready to go. So, really excited to show you that. Look, we're already inside. I'm going to show you my hands. Once again, this is no jump cuts in this edit at [music] all. We're right into the game. Like look how beautiful this is. I'm already there. Just that fast with Vision Pro.
>> [music] >> So, I'm already in the game. I can go ahead and sit down here. And for this one, let's do the half picture here. So, let me go ahead and recenter it just a little bit so it can kind of be far back. Look at how cool this looks. So, when I bring my hands out, boom. This is how I can I can actually play.
So, let's go ahead and get this back here, too. Let's move that out of the way. Move that down there. [music] And it's just the coolest thing. So, I can go from here to there.
I can go from I can go from looking at it here boom to there.
That is so cool. Anyway, so let's go ahead and jump into Max Mustard. And I'm just excited because I can actually play my game kind of semi 3D in the room. And it just looks so good, man. This is just so cool.
But, this is just a taste of what's possible with KRVR. Like, if you're into PC VR at all, I have to say you're going to want to get this application.
Uh this is going to be a definite uh download for you. Like, I'm just blown away at how incredible this is. So, before we get into Steam VR, I wanted to show you exactly what some of these buttons do uh in KRVR so that you kind of have a better understanding of how to use the app. Uh when you click on this games icon, you're going to see all of the games that you can choose. You can even choose between launching them as an OpenXR app or as a SteamVR. Uh with that plugin, it's really cool. Of course, I showed you desktop earlier. This allows you to see your desktop screen. Uh and that should be able to see what's going on. Uh this is going to be a masking button. I'm not going to be able to turn it on right now. But, you you're going to use this button when you have things like your actual wheel that you want to uh showcase in your real world surroundings or your flight controls. I actually have some controls I'm going to be doing on another video to show you how that all looks and and then how cool it is. This button here is going to lock the gestures. Uh there's certain gestures that you can do with KRVR like opening up the menu, closing this menu with a few taps on your wrist and things like that. That's going to lock those gestures in place. You also have the view viewership of how you want to see You See how the room just became uh basically dark right now. You can choose between half bait here, then of course uh the full see-through. Uh I think it's really cool that they add these features. I showed you that a little bit earlier when we were playing um Max Mustard. Uh of course this is where you don't want to see want your hands to show. So, watch this when I go back into this uh black uh or the void here as you can see, you see that it's showing my hands. When I click that off, it's no longer showing that because I'm not inside of a game. Uh but we're going to go ahead and go out of that and go back into full passthrough right now.
This button here I don't use as much, but it's for hand passthrough this. Uh I think this is kind of cool when you're doing certain things where you want to showcase uh more of your surroundings. I believe this will allow you to do that.
This button of course is how you can change between hand tracking mode inside of VR or controller mode or keep it mixed when you have it like this. So, when there's no controller connected, it's automatically going to do hand tracking. When controllers are connected, it's going to do the controllers. All right, so let me show you exactly what I wanted to show you a little bit earlier. Let's go ahead and jump into Steam VR. Now, it's going to take you a second to load, but as you can see, I'm showing you the desktop here how it looks from my desktop. And then boom, walla, we are already inside of it. And I can go ahead and launch into a game. All right, so you know we have to try out Half-Life Alyx. So, let's go ahead and launch into Half-Life Alyx here and let's see if we can get this to run successfully inside of KRVR.
You see we're already loading in. Let me go ahead and minimize the screen here.
Let's go ahead and get rid of the hands so that you would only see the controllers when need be.
Man, I'm just so excited about Apple Vision Pro and PC VR cuz it looks so freaking good. All right, so not sure what happened here, but audio kind of got weird on the recording, but you can see I'm able to test my hands.
Everything's working great. And because it, you know, audio wasn't working, I just decided I'll show you some gameplay from another game in my library. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and choose, let's just do for sake of playing here, we'll do Air Car, boom, play and let it launch. And so, we should see in just a moment. Go ahead and move this out of the way. Air Car is going to launch inside of the platform. So, once again, you see that I am having my controllers tracked here. We can turn on the hands again. You can see a little latency while it's doing some loading in the background. But once we are inside the experience, you're going to notice that we are buttery smooth here, and we are ready to rock and roll. And as you can see, we are now inside of Air Car.
Just a beautiful, beautiful experience.
Watch, I'm going to go ahead and hit the gas a little bit, and we'll go ahead and start flying. You can see that we are in this beautiful experience. I just love that Kia VR makes it so easy now to jump into Steam VR games. I'm going to get into back back into my other game, Max Mustard. But I just want to show you that it actually works with Steam VR games, and you can truly experience it.
I just think this is so cool.
I'm going to catch you guys next time. I got some got some platforming to do in VR here. See y'all next time. I'm getting things done. Make sure you subscribe. Make sure you hit that thumbs up on the video if you enjoy more content like this because I'm having a blast creating it. Let's go.
