What if the next fighter jet never needed a pilot in the cockpit? That is the promise of the Bira Kizalma, Turkeykey's jet powered unmanned combat aircraft that is quickly moving from prototype to operational reality.
BAR says it aims to begin the first serial deliveries of Kizalma this year.
And reports from Saha 2026 say the aircraft is entering the next phase just as Turkai's defense industry pushes toward major export growth. Kizalma is built to do what turborop drones cannot.
It is a lowobservable high-speed UCAV designed for air-to-air combat, strike missions, suppression of enemy air defenses, and carrier compatible operations from short runway ships.
Bayar lists a 500 nautical mile combat radius, 3 plus hours endurance, 1,500 kg payload, 8,500 kg maximum takeoff weight, Mach 0.6 cruise speed, and Mach 0.9 max speed. The aircraft is about 14.5 m long, has a 10 m wingspan, and stands around 3.5 m tall.
The tech stack is what makes it dangerous. Kizy Lelma uses LOS and Bloss communications, autonomous taxi, takeoff, cruise, and landing, a turboan engine, and a sensor suite that includes electrooptical targeting, infrared search and track, and a multiode AESA radar that gives it the brain to sense, decide, and act inside aworked battle environment. Bayar positions Kizalma as a fighter UAV that can carry air-to-air missiles, laserg guided munitions, standoff weapons, mini cruise missiles, and even SOMJclass cruise missiles.
According to open sources, that means it can escort manned fighters, hunt air defenses, or strike deep without risking a pilot. BAR says it has already produced five prototypes and two serial production aircraft with first deliveries to the Turkish armed forces expected in 2026 while an export deal for 12 aircraft has reportedly been signed with first export deliveries targeted for 2028.
