The masculinist movement, led by figures like Pastor Doug Wilson and Nick Fuentes, promotes a theocratic vision that seeks to repeal the 19th Amendment and strip women of voting rights, treating women as property rather than citizens with full human rights. This movement, which combines religious male headship theology with secular manosphere ideology, has gained significant influence through connections to political figures like Pete Hegseth and the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, which envisions a return to traditional gender roles where men are breadwinners and women are mothers.

The Men Who Want Women to STFU and Never Vote AgainAdded:
Good morning everybody. It is Wednesday, May 20th at about 11 a.m. give or take. I was reading uh an article. It's the cover story for the June 2026 issue of The Atlantic. It's an article by Helen Lewis and it's just titled The Men Who Want Women to Be Quiet. uh subtitled a virilent form of misogyny has become the single most important force holding together the American right and I'm going to read some of this and comment as I go. So there's a guy named Doug Wilson.
Uh he is a pastor out of Idaho. He's spent the last I don't know 30 years building his church, building a network of churches across the country. Uh including a church in Washington DC that is attended by uh Secretary of Defense Pete Hgsth. Uh Pete Hgsth invited Doug Wilson to come uh and give a prayer service I guess at the Pentagon in February. Uh Doug Wilson has zero respect for women uh outside of their ability to breed uh and clean and cook. Uh so reading from the article, Doug Wilson has a modest proposal to improve American life. He wants to repeal the 19th amendment which gave women the right to vote. in his ideal system, quote, "We would do it in our politics the same way we do it in our church structure, and that is we vote by household."
I would be curious if Doug Wilson's church carries any sexual abuse insurance uh and if they have had any instances of sexual abuse in his church of women or minors. Uh Wilson is the co-founder of the Communion Reformed Evangelical Churches based in Moscow, Idaho. Over the well five over the past five decades, he has built a small empire there dedicated to disseminating his theocratic vision for the United States. He's built a publishing house, a school, a liberal arts college, and a video streaming service. his denomination, which has about 170 affiliated churches, uh, counts Doug Pete Hegsth as a member. And so when when Doug Wilson talks and casually suggests disenfranchising half of America, people listen. And this Supreme Court uh has already disenfranchised 26 million black Americans in the South uh from having any representation in the House of Representatives in the Confederate States. So, they're coming after women next. I mean, they want to take away the rights of black people to vote. Uh there was a speaker of the house in I think it was Alabama who recently said that he hopes the Supreme Court repeals the 14th amendment which gave slaves and their descendants citizenship in the United States and also established birthright citizenship in the United States. Uh, and Republicans like this guy Doug Wilson went to complete the ban on abortion in the United States, went to completely ban access to birth control, and now went to take away women's right to vote.
I It's quite a vision that they have for this country. I have to say it is quite a vision that they have for this country to uh I have to say when the author of this article asked uh Doug Wilson about this position uh he said you know it's not my top priority taking away the 19th amendment. We have bigger fish to fry he said uh but he sees it as something that could happen maybe within the next 200 years. The author said, "If I said to you, I think all white men should be put in cages, just not right now. It's not my aspiration for right now. Uh, then you probably wouldn't be interested in a single other thing I had to say at that point."
Wilson chuckled.
I know you'd probably have all of my attention.
I just Wilson believes that women should not hold political office. They should never serve in combat roles in the military.
One of my favorite lines from this article.
He believes that husbands should have dominion over misbehaving wives weight, spending habits, and choice of television programs. His uncompromising vision for America was once considered marginal.
The conservative writer Karen Shallow Prior told the author, "Since his elevation by Hegsth, however, no one can credibly say that Doug Wilson is fringe anymore.
It's the it's the absolute inability and unwillingness to view women as human beings.
Just as human beings, as fully formed individual human beings, people with free will who can think, who can speak, who can make decisions in their lives.
It's just like how how inadequate do you have to be as a man to think that you have the right to do these things to every woman in the country.
It's just [ __ ] mind-blowing, man. Uh Doug Wilson is a prominent voice in what is sometimes called masculinism.
It is that is what I just described is that masculine a movement to fight back against the advances of feminism and reassert the primacy of men. Yeah. His version of uh his version is religious influenced by the notion of male headship of the family and St. Paul's belief that godly women should be quiet.
There are also plenty of secular masculinists. They were all in that Manosphere documentary uh that Louis Thorough put out a couple months ago. Um and it of course obviously is linked to MAGA. The MAGA movement is often framed as a reaction to the first black president, but the multi-racial appeal uh of the manosphere and Trump's 2024 inroads with young minority men point in a different direction. That's right.
Because doesn't matter what color your skin is. All men can agree on hating women. Apparently, I guess people ask me what the new right is furious about, said Laura Field, an author. Um, and I think a good shortorthhand for that is that they're furious about their own loss of status in society over the last few years and the elites who made that hap, excuse me, happen. And I think that the pathiest short version of that is that it's the women. It's the women who took their status from them. Again, how [ __ ] inadequate do you have to be as a man to believe this kind of this kind of [ __ ] It's absolutely horrifying.
Uh, one of masculinism's central claims is that no one is talking about men.
men's issues are not. And then she lists a whole bunch of books, documentaries, and movies that are male-centered about men. Um, you know, these and then she talks about for every action that has advanced feminism, there's been huge backlash. Uh these years have seen a counter reaction with the total abandonment of the me too movement, conservative gloating over the fall of Row versus Wade, and the return of straightforward sexist putdowns like quiet piggy to public life. Uh there was on the internet, masculinism is presented as rebellion, a transgressive middle finger to the liberal establishment expressed in all the words a corporate HR department would order you not to say out loud.
Uh among Gen Z, Doug Wilson's intellectual heir is Nick Fuentes.
Awesome. Fantastic. Amazing. uh who leads a loose collection of trolls known as gropers. A self-profess self-p profofessed Christian nationalist anti-semite and virgin, Nick Fuentes has built a fan base in part by deploying vividly misogynistic language. Quote, "Our number one political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything." Uh he said that on a live stream this year. He added, "Just like Hitler imprisoned gypsies, Jews, and communists, all of his political rivals, we have to do the same thing with women, suggesting that they be sent to breeding goologs. The good ones would be liberated. The bad ones will toil in the mines forever."
He's a 27year-old virgin. He's never had a girlfriend.
and young men are listening to him about women.
Fuentes's rhetoric shows how this gendered view of the world can easily be interlaced with other prejudices. Gay men effeminate and interested in sports, therefore unmanly. Jews, clever rather than athletic, also unmanly. University lecturers, pencileneck postmodernists, also unmanly trans people, inevitably degenerate, Muslims, an invasion force of rapists, black men, thugs, from whom white women should be protected.
If only they would submit to the patriarchy. Holy [ __ ] [ __ ] man.
I I mean, here's the other thing.
Manliness and masculinism. Nick Fuentes is like 5 foot three. He weighs maybe 125 lbs and he's a virgin. He's never had a girlfriend. He's never had sex with a woman. And and this this is the intellectual heir to the masculinism movement.
Doug Wilson told the author he considers Nick Fuente's sort of rhetoric unforgivably go.
The Bible says that a godly woman is a husband's crown. He said, "I've never seen a king talk about his crown the way Nick Fuentes talks about women. It's absurd."
Uh, I wanted to ask whether Well, I'm not going to read that part out loud.
It's a good article. The author, you know, the author does some some pretty she's a good writer. I'll put it that way. The author of this article is a very good writer.
Um, in theological terms that might be true, but both men uh benefit from a shock and awe rhetorical strategy. In 2014, it was a minor scandal when the megaurch pastor Mark Dris Driscoll was revealed to be quote William Wallace II, the author of dozens of pages of messageboard rants about how America was a pussified nation where men are raised by bitter penis envying burned feministed single mothers who make sure that Johnny grows up to be a very nice woman who sits down to pee.
That was megaurch pastor Mark Driscoll.
Now such language would barely raise an eyebrow.
So depressing. And then she talks about this book called The Last Men uh who was written by a guy named Charles Cornish Dale, a religious historian.
Um he wrote this book called The Last Men in which he questions whether it is possible for men whether it is possible to be men fully in a liberal democracy.
His political prescriptions like Doug Wilson's might be described as uncompromising. Quote, "Someone asked me the other day, I think it was a girl actually. She was like, "So would you take away the vote from women?" And I was like, I would take the vote away from the vast majority of men as well.
It's horrifying to me.
It's horrifying to me that the reach the reach that these people have uh especially those manosphere guys in their reach and influence to very young teenage boys uh up through their 20s into their 30s and that they are implanting these kinds of ideas and this kind of hate just cuz it's just [ __ ] hate towards women. And again, it just goes back to the absolute to me, it goes back to the absolute refusal to even view women as people, as human beings.
And I'm grateful that I was raised uh by largely by a single mother who was fiercely strong, exceedingly uh feminist in her beliefs uh and raised my brother and I to have those kinds of beliefs as well.
Um, I can't imagine what it is like. I can't imagine what it is like to wake up every morning and your starting point for each day. The perspective that you begin and end every single day with is to be a racist anti-semitic person who absolutely hates women. I'm grateful that I can't imagine what that's like. And then, you know, all of this is a continuation of themes found in Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation's blueprint for Donald Trump's second term. The document uh offers a vision of America where quote, "Men are breadwinners and women are mothers."
Uh, one of the authors suggestions that feminism has made women neurotic and dependent on pharmaceuticals is now an article of faith on the right. Anonymous online posters frequently bring up data suggesting that liberal women are most likely to report suffering from anxiety.
It's because they're smart and have empathy. It's because they've gotten educated and they have empathy. Anybody with an IQ over 50 right now reports suffering from [ __ ] anxiety, guys.
Uh, but to attribute female unhappiness to feminism seems wildly ahistorical.
Have these people never read, say, the feminine mystique, which exhaustively cataloged the despair of mid-century stay-at-home mothers? Uh, written by Betty Friedane. Uh she wrote, "Many suburban housewives were taking tranquilizers like cough drops." Uh across the manosphere, however, young people are told that before feminism ruined everything, women used to be cherished and pampered by their husbands. Yes, that's right. There was no infidelity. There was no financial abuse. There was no physical abuse.
There was no verbal abuse ever, ever in the history of the world uh until feminism.
I added that part. Uh now women are supposedly subsidized by government handouts or earning six figures in pointless email jobs. Uh in the masculinist paradigm, every woman does HR for cats and every man is a plumber or merchant seaman. Uh the author asked Doug Wilson about his allies nostalgic distortion of history. Uh he said just a simple question. If you went back to 1850 and said, out of all these women who had to get husband's permission to travel to visit a sick cousin or whatever, how many of them were on anti-depressants? And how many of them today are on anti-depressants? What a phenomenally stupid question.
If you go back to the time when people were allowed to own other black people, when when when when anti-depressants didn't even exist and when your doctor was just as likely to prescribe cocaine or heroin for you and I mean, but that's a that's a perfect example of the depth of thought. It's a perfect example of the depth of thought of these kinds of people cuz these men are dumb. They're dumb and they're dumb.
They're inadequate. They're unimaginably insecure. And they know those things about themselves. And they blame women for those inadequacies and insecurities within themselves. Uh here's a shocking anecdote. Doug Wilson, who appeared on Joe Rogan's show to promote his online debating courses, originally became famous for appearing on whatever a dating podcast with 4.7 4.6 million YouTube subscribers. The show's specialty is goating models and Only Fans into delivering rage bait, such as one recent guests suggestion that she deserves a millionaire husband. Women are never supposed to win in the whatever bear pit, but sometimes they do just by remaining calm while the men try to trip them up. That show sounds horrific.
In one episode, Doug Wilson told a female fellow guest that she was too stupid to understand him. So, she raised the fact that Doug Wilson's wife, Rachel, Oh, that's this is a different Wilson. Uh, I remember this clip. Uh, in one episode, the host, the male host told a female fellow guest that she was too stupid to understand him. So, she very calmly raised the fact that the host's wife, Rachel, has children with three different men. He went thermonuclear.
You're a [ __ ] dyke. Don't talk [ __ ] about my wife, you stupid [ __ ] I'm better than you. He said it was an extraordinary display of uncontrolled aggression. Um, so but this is I mean I guess I guess one of the the main points of significance it's like it's not just the manosphere influencing young men. It's like this guy has a network of 170 churches, including one in Washington DC that is attended by Secretary of Defense Pete Hgse and his wife.
This guy Doug Wilson has held a prayer service at the Department of Defense.
You know, he's he's mingling with policy makers and decision makers and he wants to take away women's rights to vote.
Anyway, uh I strongly encourage everyone to visit The Atlantic. I strongly encourage everyone to subscribe to The Atlantic. I've been a subscriber for years. Uh I deeply appreciate their content and their articles and the people who work there and the people who write there. But the men who want women to be quiet, it's hard for me to process. It's hard for me to process. I mean, some of my absolute best friends on this planet are women.
my friend Shahana, my friend Kim, they would rip these people limb from limb if they ever got in the same room with him, which you know, I mean, I would I would pay good money to see that. Anyway, it is Wednesday, May 20th. It's about 11:30 a.m.
um hump day. Uh I hope everybody enjoys the rest of your week. Please be safe.
I'm Hawk. Thanks for watching. Again, please click like. Please leave a comment. Leave leave me some of your experiences in the comments with these kinds of [ __ ] men. Um and and I'll I'll make a video out of some of those comments. It's just I I I have to I have to go take a shower now. I feel really [ __ ] gross. Um but please subscribe to my channel. Uh thanks again for watching and I'll see you guys soon.
