[00:00:00]Hi everyone, in this video I'll be talking about bacteria do have membrane bound organelles.

[00:00:15]Okay, like eukaryotes.

[00:00:18]And most prominent examples are basically uh cyanobacteria. Okay? Cyanobacteria, they have thylakoid.

[00:00:31]Which is nothing but a membrane bound organelle useful for their photosynthesis which will convert the light energy into the ATP. Now, there is another a very unusual or basically I should say it's a very unique membrane bound organelle found in phylum known as Planctomycetes bacteria. Those bacteria which grouped under phylum Planctomycetes, they have a very unique membrane bound organelle in their cytosol which is named as anammoxosome.

[00:01:20]Now, this is basically the site for anaerobic anaerobic ammonia oxidation.

[00:01:36]Anaerobic ammonia oxidation place that is in case of the anammoxosome. Now, this structure or this membrane bound organelle that have a very unique lipid which is known as ladderane.

[00:02:00]ladderin kind of a lipid Now this ladderin kind of a lipid, you should know about that. It contains cyclobutane ring. Okay?

[00:02:13]Cyclobutane ring containing lipids they have. So this is basically a very unique membrane bound organelle found in bacteria, but it's not very usual structure in all the bacteria. So you should keep it in your mind.
