Scientists say the findings could accelerate the development of precision medicine, allowing treatments to target specific cancer mutations rather than focusing solely on the organ where the cancer appears. The study has already created one of the world's largest genetic databases of feline cancers, giving researchers a new tool to search for treatments that could help both pets and human beings. And researchers call it a one health approach where discoveries in veterinary medicine and human medicine work hand in hand.
