Indeed, somewhere at the back of my mind, I've have I've tipped him as a possible aspirant for the seat of the Senate President.

[00:01:42]If that should happen, that would be a very dangerous um a very dangerous thing to to happen if and when it happens because with due respect, Senator Shim has been known to react, you know, he has what you call gra, you know, he has this impulsive reaction to things. I remember when he was a governor and you had this widow um the widow he had the problem with and I remember the incident of die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die die he told the woman to die he retrace his steps and apologize I hope he will retrace his steps on this issue um because it's not I don't think it sounds right like Rufi said yesterday above all things you your your government is predicated on foreign investment. How does it sound that that in response to an issue which was not by the government mark you was a group of a group of urchins and so on and so forth.

[00:02:50]you had this incident happen like that and that is what your reaction is that is the license of all all um South African uh based companies should should should be revoked forgetting of course that you also have loads of Nigerian like one listener said you have loads of Nigerian businesses that are also in South Africa. I think somebody who loves Senator Chal should actually sit him down and tell him not to one way to avoid things like this is you better not say anything until you've studied the ter because he says uh he he says according to him he says that I'm aware that MTN is quoted and therefore Nigerian shareholders can hold on but we take away the South African rights. So he says we should we should nationalize the with Nigerian chairs. We should take over the whatever. And and I said where is all this coming from? What what about the legal angle to it the the larger diplomatic whatever and then playing to the gallery and talking about Nigerian lives. How does Senator Shle feel at the end of every month when he gets his paycheck?

[00:04:08]Only God knows how many millions and he has luckily he's a labor man. He knows the minimum wage. How does he feel when he reconciles the two at that time? Are Nigerian lives more important to him than the salary? I mean the the the political class unfortunately worldwide always play on sentiments to deceive the people because worldwide mostly the the political class have generally failed in countries where they have not failed their people have held them by the jugular and these xenophobic attacks I'm not making any excuse for them of course not nobody would but they are worldwide And that is because resources are getting scarce and they are not evenly distributed. That is the best official way you can put it. Anyway, back to this uh before I go on on a complete waste of time this morning. I I I'd like to say that Nigerians from what from the phone calls I got, I'm at peace with myself. I I think they understand the situation.

Um yes, the phone calls this morning seem to suggest that Nigerians understood um what's going on but yesterday on the social except of course we're saying that Nigerians on the social media are different from Nigerians on on radio. Nigerians on social media, majority of them seem to um support what a sham uh is saying, his position and they seem to be attacking anybody who who who was against what um Oshame said yesterday on social media.

Everybody condemns this xenophobic killings. Of course, but you don't burn a house because you have a rat running around.

[00:13:32]Nigeria Airways pensioners beg Tobu for 36 billionaire.

[00:13:37]>> This is the government that com belongs to. is a senator who who is so concerned. These Nigeria Airways staff have not been paid their pensions since uh let let me read it. Retirees of the for Nigeria Airways pleaded with the president to interview in the release of their outstanding 36 billion pension and severance ideas that many workers are dying and face abject. The pensioners un excuse me under the ages of the Nigerian Union of Pension Union of Pensioners made the appeal during a peaceful protest.

[00:14:16]Speaking on behalf of the group Sheriff Olu said the former employees had remained in despair since the liquidation of Nigerian highways in 2004.

[00:14:29]No senator has come to take up their case. In fact, look at the the the those who put their lives on the line, the the the military men. They still haven't gotten a pen a penny today.

[00:14:45]And they have a laborbased senator in the national assembly who hasn't taken up their case.

[00:14:52]So Nigerian they haven't been paid since 2004. 6,000 workers disengaged without complete severe benefits, severance benefits. 6,000. According to him, the president had approved the payment of the outstanding 36 billion in 2025. Now, I hope that this is inflation adjusted >> because I hope so. I hope because I hope you are not looking at the exact amount that it was in 2004 to come and pay today you know and the president had approved the payment jolu now >> in June 2025 now this this indictment is not of presidentu only is all successive governments including I think ambassador since 2004 for and and I said he he improved he approved the balance of 36 billion to finally resolve his issue. However, despite several protests and appeals, the Ministry of Finance was yet to authorize the payment. They have written letters concerning the risk on their standing severance. But no, some of the members are dead then in droves. Many are bedridden and helplessly waiting for their last breath. We appreciate the president for approving the payment and we passionately appeal to him to ensure the funds are released without further delay. Why do you think the funds haven't been released?

No, look, you see a a lot of what the political class do is play to the gallery. We all know that the problem is from the top. What example have the older ones passed down to their children?
