This boat broke my brain

[00:00:01]I spent the last 5 minutes staring at this photo of the Spirit of Tasmania V.

[00:00:05]Can anyone else see the problem?

[00:00:07]The bulbous bow at the front of the ship looks like it's floating above the water.

[00:00:11]You can see that, right?

[00:00:13]Turns out my brain is not seeing this properly. The shadow underneath it and the bright reflection on the water are tricking my brain into thinking the water is behind the bow instead of in front of it. Maybe your cortex is just having a moment.
