The Fatima apparition of October 13, 1917, was a documented historical event witnessed by 70,000 people, including skeptics and journalists, who reported extraordinary phenomena such as the sun spinning, changing colors, and appearing to plummet toward the earth, which was subsequently reported in secular newspapers the following day.

I thought I knew the story of Fatima.本站添加:
Hey, have you ever heard of the children of Fatima? Is this about a book again?
Isn't it always about a book? You're already very aware of how much I love my catholiclibrary.co.
This month they sent me this book, Our Lady of Fatima by William Thomas Walsh.
I thought I knew this story. I'm a cradle Catholic. I've seen the day the sun danced. I prayed the rosary and the Fatima prayer before bed. I thought I knew Fatima. You didn't know Fatima. I did not know Fatima. Walsh was a Yale-trained historian. He didn't just write about Fatima from a distance. He traveled there, interviewed witnesses, and sat down face-to-face with Sister Lucia, one of the actual visionaries, still alive, and he asked her directly what happened. Wait, he talked to her like in person? In person. And what she told him is in this book. But Fatima was like an apparition or a vision. You know I need more than that. October 13th, 1917, thousands and thousands, 70,000 people to be exact, gathered in a field in Portugal. Not just believers, either.
Skeptics, journalists, people who wanted to specifically debunk this. And the sun, it detached from the sky, spun, changed colors, and plummeted toward the earth. 70,000 witnesses, including the press. I'm sorry, what? Yep. It was reported in secular newspapers the next day. This is not a faith claim. This is a historical event. Why has no one ever told me this? That's what I'm saying.
And this edition is from my catholiclibrary.co. Isn't it stunning?
Premium hardcover, a devotional icon of Our Lady of Fatima, and a bonus reflection called Letter from Beyond, What It Means to Live or Not Live in light of this message. Dang, so it's not just like history, it's what it means now. That's what got me. Fatima isn't just something that happened in 1917.
It's a message that is still waiting to be received. And reading this book felt like finding a letter that had been lost like in the back of your drawer for years, and then you reopened it. I want to read it. I know. So go to my catholiclibrary.co.
Link's in my bio. Use code Marie for 10% off, monthly or annual, and every month another book like this one lands at your door chosen by priests and Catholic scholars who actually know what your soul needs. So basically someone spiritually competent is doing my reading list for me every single month.
You're welcome.
