In nearly every major battleground state, the Republican frontrunner for governor was directly involved in Trump's effort to reverse his 2020 loss. And in my home state of Georgia, Burt Jones literally signed a fake electors certificate claiming that Trump won the state. And Trump's endorsed several of them. We all have to keep our eyes on this. Because governors do not run elections day-to-day, but they shape how elections work. They appoint the officials who oversee them in many states. They play a role in certifying results. And if these candidates win their races next November, they will have very real influence over how the 2028 presidential election runs in the exact swing states that decide every modern election.
