A masterful display of "over-engineering for art," where AI vision and mechatronics turn a simple task into a sophisticated feat of iterative design. It perfectly captures the maker's ethos: using complex technology to solve delightfully unnecessary problems with absolute precision.

Suiting up Like Iron Man in ReaL LifeHinzugefügt:
I always wanted to recreate the Iron Man suit up from the Civil War movie and it's honestly one of my favorite suit up scenes. So all thanks to this one kind soul on the internet who provided his files for the glove for free and with that I was able to download it and size it for my fingers and my hand and it turned out to be pretty good. The print was perfect. So the MVP of this video is DF Robot. They've sponsored me with their really cool products. I've ordered two servers, a power adapter and the main product which is the HuskyLens too. Well, what is the HuskyLens?
Well, I'm not going to exaggerate but it's probably one of the most capable things I've used [music] in recent times. The HuskyLens too is a AI vision camera which is capable of many different features like object tracking, object detection, hand detection, pulse detection, OCR.
Uh, you can use it as a camera as well and these are just six features out of the 40 different features that HuskyLens too offers.
And I'm not exaggerating because this was sponsored but this is truly mind-blowing and it's definitely a beast.
So first we have object tracking and all I had to do is just trace the object on the screen. It recognizes the object and starts tracking the object and I mean this was really simple.
What took me a couple of days to train a model with hundreds of images and then check if it's detecting well. Usually it's not that accurate. Just 5 seconds of work here. So next we have the hand recognition or recognizing the pulse of the hand and then we have OCR.
And then you can use it as a camera, plain camera.
There are tons of features apart from what I just showed, and if you're interested in this, the link's in the description. You can check this product out.
So, I started with making the connections, which is with the UniHiker K10 and the HuskyLens and two of my servos. So, it's always better to start with the hardware connection and then go to the actual design of my setup.
So, the UniHiker K10 is also an excellent product. It was sponsored to me by DFRobot previously. So, here's another demo which uses face recognition. So, here's just a sample of how you can control things just by recognizing a face.
So, the main logic I'll be using here is to recognize my hands and make the setup assemble the glove onto my hands. It's just a click of button and [music] my gesture gets recognized as ID1. And you can get other gestures recognized as ID2, ID3, and it's just that simple. So, as you can see, it only recognizes when my hand is fully open and not when it's partially open.
So, I've used a pretty simple approach for this. I've used a stepper motor and a few aluminum extrusions to make the frame of this.
So, the stepper motor here is elevating the entire setup so it can assemble the fingers onto mine.
>> [music] [music] >> So, this was the next thing that I thought of. Uh again, this failed and I overestimated the size of this particular thing. It was just too wide and not really that practical. So, the third one is the simplest part that I came up with.
And as a wise man said, it's simple to make things complicated and complicated to make things simpler.
So, now everything was set up, but here's the real struggle that's going to start. I had a dozen of failures while trying to get this working, but it was definitely important as every failure mattered and I kept correcting it and making it better.
>> [music] >> And finally >> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Well, you know that feeling when you think of new ideas but you scared whether they might not turn out exactly the way you pictured? Well, I'm 50% there.
I thought it would look like something else and I would make it in a different way, but I'm definitely happy with how this turned out as well.
So, that's it for this video and the HuskyLens will be used in later videos and they're definitely going to be even more crazier. So, hope you're going to stay tuned for this.
