This video examines the 2024 UDA (United Democratic Alliance) nomination boycott in Yandarao, Kenya, where residents protested against party nominations due to claims of voter intimidation and misinformation about the relationship between UDA and DCP (Democratic Congress Party) nominations. The analysis reveals that only 10% of registered voters participated in the nomination process, with some polling stations experiencing zero turnout. The video documents vote-buying tactics, including 200 shillings distributed to voters, and highlights how political actors manipulate electoral processes through misleading information and strategic candidate engineering. The analysis emphasizes that electoral integrity requires transparent nomination processes, genuine voter participation, and protection of voters from intimidation and manipulation.

Ruto OL-Kalau Crisis as Residents BOYCOTTS UDA Nominations amidst Rigathi DCP WaveAdded:
welcome to the bold analysis. Ladies and gentlemen, UDA nominations in Analao ahead of the bi-election has been boycotted by residents and of course startling data coming from that bi-election shows an attempt to mobilize including investments like money given by the likes of Moses Korea. So in this podcast we look at that because it's very interesting tomorrow DCP are going to have their nominations and so we are going to compare but for now I want to show you the numbers the photos and why this is a matter of do and die for you dear ladies and gentlemen before we get back into those details I still want to take this opportunity to ask you once again to stand with us to help support the surgery of Pascal a 36year-old single father Robu currently admitted in Kakabga when he collapsed home he was rushed to the hospital and it was established that he had menitis now this was manifested in of course severe headache that was not ending Now however now then upon an MRI they established that he had some fluid in the head. Now this fluid had really affected him and there was a procedure two procedures that would to be done.
One is to extract part of this fluid to be taken to laboratory for test and also the second one was to do shanting.
Shanting is an operation that is going to connect a pipe from the brain kaida to for the waste taken to come out as the normal waste. So that field would come out as normal waste. Now this gentleman is in deep pain and I I sent my team Kira there and I managed to talk um with them from there. Now they really saying this is a procedure that really needs to be done urgently.
>> Yes.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm standing in the gap yet again for another life to save. We are looking at a budget of 200,000 to support this procedure and my projection would be able to do it um probably Monday or Tuesday. I am saying thank you very much. It is now I think 24 hours since I first mentioned this appeal and I can see around 44,970 that takes my deficit to around 156,000.
I've seen um the normal number of subscribers here is what we are 143 but a percentage that participate if we can be able to even contribute a sacrifice as little as 50 shillings.
I want to believe that we will be able to support this life. Kindly find it in your place to support this so that at least a new year surgery.
This will be this is a very challenging one but as always say it's always good to support someone when someone is alive and we can pull this and I want to say thank you very much deep down from my heart for those who've responded for those who reached out Kevin said the 10 of the 20 no amount is little the deficit 156,000 and I believe we can pull through I believe we can make Now the turnout in um in Yandarao by election has been underwhelming.
Although the exercise got off to a slow start due to low voter turnout, the low turnout followed claims that some residents had been misled into believing that participating in the UDA primaries would prevent them from taking part in the DCP party nominations scheduled for Saturday, triggering confusion among sections of the electorate.
like so far about 1,300 so far only 80 >> and Um, according to some data coming out from several polling stations, they're reporting that probably only 10% of the voters came out to register and uh came out to participate in the nomination. And if you look at um I want you to look at this here UDA results streaming Simon Miniaga leading in the two polling stations with 44 votes that is 82 that is from 82 uh George Woo second 24 votes and um this is the turnout uh 13% 10% % across the polling station.
I know yes by election is not will not expect a higher turnout but this has been relatively low and I have even seen one of the aspirants that was speaking there saying he moved along in some several polling stations and admitted that indeed uh people are not did not come out of their farms to participate in that nomination.
UDA Now in some polling stations, UTA election officials were just having a field day. zero turnout, empty halls witnessed at the majority of some of the polling stations in the ongoing party primaries. And one of the interesting things is that people will just come around the polling station just camping outside but not getting there until if you look at this video. Uh this is Moses Kura in Ruri Vocational Training Center, polling center in Alcalao where of course he's not a voter there. So he didn't go there to vote and he was he went there for mobilization and immediately Moses Kura left um um mobilization was activated and there was a gentleman who was captured on video uh especially in this polling station where Mosas Kura was urging some women to vote and uh they receive Give 200 shillings each.
after voting. So they go in the bunch of five.
Now if you listen to this sound bite you will and this video you'll see something.
This whatever is being pushed here is not a specific candidate.
This gentleman is actually just pushing mobilization for the person for those people to go there and vote. It doesn't matter who they are voting for but they're just there is just pushing the numbers to go and vote. Um I have seen uh this photo by the UDA bloggers.
They've shared this photo talking about high turnout and uh if you look at it keenly there is no polling station that suggested such number of people in their numbers uh and and and and we said it said this photo was captured in somewhere in Rift Valley during the general election and they have just used it they've just picked it to use it to show how PIF had turned out and there is no specific polling station and if you look at their own UDA Facebook page you will not see this photo anywhere. However, the state bloggers are struggling to prove a point that people came out in their numbers.
There was a drama as another UDA candidate was blocked at this area.
This is my polling station.
Tell me tell the government you have been supported by DCP and to make sure we don't vote.
>> Have I told you I'm an aspirant? This is my polling station. Is that as an Wow. Thank you my sister at the security our vote DP DP R at this polling station. And something that stood something that really caught my attention here is he was calling regarding Ghagwa's name as um one person that has um that allegedly had um that had influenced you know I don't know how there also some unconfirmed report DCP are supposed to hold their nominations tomorrow and there is some video that is going around that council Ji was allegedly arrested by the police in one of the um um in the area and uh overnight this this video has emerged. I cannot yet substantiate because there is no official statement that has come from DCP but uh several DCP allied leaders in the area are sharing this video that police arrested councelor WJO. I don't know to what end because he doesn't come from yes he comes from Yandara and he's vying on Kinangop comes from Kinangop but the bction IS >> one you Saturday.
One time.
on even though he is a DCP ally.
um a leader. Um I don't know what this this will be to what end, but but but I've seen that video. I want I do not want to belabor it because um not so much has been confirmed about that video. Now um there is always mobilization and and and of course one of the things that you'll agree with us is whenever the president goes to Mon Kenya, it has been business unusual. It is actually normally a transaction business that um to get the crowds to get the people talking. Uh there is there is another video just the same same day uh the president was in um in in like in in Yahuru and um people were seen walking out the moment Kind started asking who is for two while still at it not putting on some bit of the merchandise. So it's been a challenge and the UDA has been trying to portray the projection this. Now we are following up this election because um the president is keenly looking um um looking at a way um on on this how this is happening and um there are reports that they've been um uh running battles uh in So some of the people that were voting immediately after receiving the money were also captured chanting one time and and this is after the those uh probably um probably those nominations happened.
So it's it's been a long day in um in Yahuru in in in in Alcalao for the ruling party who are conducting their nominations and we are looking at what how the one for UDA for DCP would be tomorrow. Now some of the challenges that is happening there is number one you know the first UDA tactic was to pick the wife of the late who died one person from the family from the family but I think the family decided to detach from politics and uh while at the burial that is why you could see them um all around the burial and and and the way they they really tried to stay close to the family and they wanted to pick one person But because probably the family understood the hostility that the family was picking if because they had an option of picking one and actually the wife was one who was being picked and and didn't work. So what they did they engineered the candidate who is now leading on that UDA nomination was actually on DCP but they engineered a defection and he had come from DCP to UDA and they probably he was one of the most popular candidates in the area. Now that is what they tried uh but but it has not not been that easy. Now you must understand that in in in Alao is in Yandara. Alo is in Yandara. This is the home to Meu and and Meu is the senator for this area.
And you could see the way Meu has been very vocal defender of the Gadi Gaga and even at the burial of um you could see the speech that came from Meu. It has been uh it has been something that has been seen. There was an attempt by government uh and I think we captured that to try to pull through um um uh they tried to take government services and there were some road projects being launched here and there in in the run-up to this bi-election and this bi-election is happening somewhere in in in July. I I'm also feeling like they are they doing the the nominations a bit early.
So they're going to have a long campaign but but fine let let them have a long time to campaign because it is through those bi-election campaigns that probably people always benefit. But the big challenge that is happening in Okalawa and especially in the larger M Kenya is the the relationship the transa the relationship between the president and the residents has been a transaction one. So whenever he goes there it is money being poured and and and that is it. But so um we we're going to look at it because it is a do or die. I've seen DCP doing their nominations tomorrow. Uh probably I don't know where Jubilee are and I'm of the opinion that let fate have its course Jubilee should fold and support the DCP candidate because again you you know as much as want to field candidate but DCP has a higher euphoria.
If opposition were to make a big statement, DCP have a bigger euphoria than Jubilee. Even though I had regard saying Jubilee is not their competitor, but Jubilee has a bigger euphoria. So if they could be able to reconcile and field one candidate, probably that would be better. Thank you.
