This limitation may explain why there are so many variations among texts.
Each tradition uses its own images, its own symbols, its own interpretive power. And yet, they all seem to converge on some central ideas.
The existence of a reality beyond the visible, the possibility of connection with that reality, and the hope of a state of fullness.
But what exactly does that fullness mean?
In ancient texts, it is often associated with the absence of conflict, with the overcoming of suffering, with the restoration of harmony, but also with the direct presence of the divine.
Paradise is not just a better place.
It is a state in which separation ceases to exist, where what was fragmented becomes whole. And this leads to an important interpretation.
Paradise is not only a where, but a how, a way of being, a condition of existence.
If we bring together all these layers, historical, symbolic, and spiritual, [music] we perceive that ancient texts were not trying to describe the afterlife with technical precision.
They were trying to express an experience, a perception that reality is greater than what we see, and that there is a direction, a return, a possible reconnection.
