Modern ultrasound technology originated from studying bat echolocation, with an Italian physiologist in the 1700s first observing how bats use sound waves for navigation, and John Wild in the early 1900s-1940s pioneering its medical application for cancer detection, establishing him as one of the fathers of ultrasound.

What do bats and you ultrasound have in common?本站添加:
Bats are basically the reason that you can have a sono. Back in the 1700s there was a guy, he was an Italian physiologist who actually was studying bat echolocation.
Uh we got modern day ultrasound physics.
So you can thank him. I know. And then there was another guy named John Wild and he was from the early 1900s. I think like 1940s, 50s.
He's considered one of the fathers of ultrasound because he was the one who started using ultrasound for cancer.
