[00:06:09]The latest protest concern the construction of at least 36 Buddha statues at the several location in the provinces of Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey and the installation of the flag poles in Preah Vihear province.

[00:06:27]Following the ceasefire on 27 December 2025, the Thai military has progressively consolidated its control and unlawful occupation of the Cambodian territories through the construction of permanent structures such as road, large Buddha statues, the installation and reinforcement of blockages using container and barbed wire, the erection of flag poles at several location, and the organization of cultural and tourism activity.

[00:07:07]The action cannot be regarded as measures to maintain military position.

[00:07:12]Rather, they clearly contradict the measure set out in item one of the joint statement of the third special meeting of General Border Committee GBC on 27 December 2025, particularly point two and point three.

[00:07:30]Point two states, "Both sides agree to maintain current troop deployment without further movement. There shall be no troop movement including patrol toward the other side position.

[00:07:44]And point three states Both sides agree that all arrangement under this joint statement as are without prejudice to the border demarcation and international boundary between the two countries.

[00:07:59]Both sides agree to refer to the joint boundary commission to resume at the earliest the survey and demarcation work in the Kok land with existing agreement between the two countries to achieve lasting peace along the border.

[00:08:17]Both sides agree to utilize joint boundary commission existing mechanism to ensure safety and security of the joint survey team on the ground including its safety from landmines.

[00:08:32]Both sides agree that the joint boundary commission will accord the first and foremost priority for the immediate survey and and demarcation work in the affected border area where the civilian resided.

[00:08:49]The Royal Government of Cambodia reaffirm that Cambodia does not recognize any boundary line established through the due of force or any unilateral territorial claim asserted by Thailand.

[00:09:03]The above mentioned activity shall not prejudice to the legal rights or position of Kingdom of Cambodia with respect to its international border.

[00:09:14]The Royal Government of Cambodia call on Thailand to uphold the commitment undertaken in the joint statement of the third JBC special meeting with a view to restoring mutual trust and confidence and fostering peace, stability, and good neighborly relation along the common border between the two countries.
