most important part of the meeting which I reluctantly attended because I last time I said I don't even want to go >> but uh yesterday I got a memo from Marshall our lawyer that they have asked that the letter be written to the minister and I wrote the letter and I forwarded the letter to the minister I promised I'm coming here to see him because follow up on the letter and the letter was very explicit that they must discontinue this case because as you know when we got inside was very anti >> he didn't want to look at my face look at me and >> uh he acknowledged the letter that he has received from our barrista I said they working on it I hate the idea of working on it because somebody's uh liberty is at stake >> yes sir >> and I'm very allergic to bureaucracy >> yes sir >> so we told him in unable times that we don't have time uh that our goal is freedom for justice sick and uh he made a commitment. I don't trust him. I'm not lying cuz if we didn't pressure, if we didn't come here on that day, we will not be having this conversation with him. Exactly.
>> For anybody who tells you that protest doesn't work.

Next is >> Oh yes, we put most of our activities on all military operations to know what our soldiers, our troops are doing in front line.
>> Okay, >> that's what we do. And we even use our social media handles to what? Counter other negative negative narrative.
>> Negative or true narrative.
You know, sometimes it's negative to you but through to the people.
>> We use our social media to counter negative negative. Yes. And we talk about our progress.
>> Don't worry. When when it comes out okay maybe our approaches and what is different. Yes. So this kind of opportunity now is an avenue to harmonize our approaches. I appreciate what he's doing. We appreciate what he's doing. His concern is that soldiers are not being fed at the nobody is saying that we want to we don't want to feed soldiers. You want to do that but you could have channel his observations to a more you know in every state we must hold. Yes. There are things you want to do, but you shouldn't do it in.
You understand?
approach.
We say why? Because there's a whole lot of problems. Yes.
>> And with the whole lot of problems that's going on, the military are too distant from the people. The security of motiv are too far from the people and with the soldiers people are scared to even approach the soldiers. There's this fear. They feel like how do we even start this conversation with these people? We are scared of maybe the terrorists. We're also scared to approach the military, you know. So, there's a need to do this every time to get closer to the people.
>> All right. So, like I previously said, election does not have anything to represent. And I said it before, a man who fights for everything fights for nothing. Now, what is going on? Don Lumeu the owner of UBA bank and the CEO of Transcop Hilton's hotel a fivestar hotel in Abuja he arrested a Twitter influencer recently and because of that election Maria have come out to come and say all sort of things. Now what did the person post and why was the person arrested? Let me show you. On the 9th of April 2026 this person called Lakm also known as art director Ken posted this.
He said breaking tonu went for HIV test for all his children only to find out that his first daughter who has been destroyed and she has HIV. Reliable source disclosed that the Bologonia was shot but couldn't believe it. Now he didn't stop us just making this post. He posted on Lumilu's picture and his kids.
Not just that, in order to convince the public that what he's saying is the truth, he posted a result for HIV test that was done. Look at the result.
Dr. Logic pathology lab I'll go straight to where her name where he put her name O Elumu age 21 confirmed at HIV 2 referral laboratory for HIV 2 as you can see right and for this reason to arrested him now this thing where you see here so it's a criminal offense why is it a criminal offense because of this certificate this is forgery because if arresting him that what he posted is not true that means this boy forged this and it's a criminal offense For those of you generation GP, let's say forgery, I use chart forgery, crime, fraudgery crime in Nigeria. In Nigeria, forgery is a criminal offense.

>> I'm inviting the Nigerians in South Africa to come build with us in Zimbabwe. And one of the reasons that I love the Nigerian nation is because the Nigerians that come to South Africa are the wealthy ones. Think about it.
Nigeria is all the way there and they managed and afforded to take a flight to come all the way to South Africa. So the ones that come to South Africa are the wealthy ones. Think about it. Have you ever seen a Nigerian competing for a job? Nigerians when they come here, they come to open businesses. They come with business ideas and they implement those business ideas. And that's the kind of forward thinking that I need for my project in Zimbabwe. I need people that are businessminded, people that can open a business from scratch and people that already have money. You understand? So I am welcoming Nigerians to come with us.
Uh be a part of the growth. Let us see how we can grow together. I already have uh different nationalities in my group that um that we are making plans to move our growth to Zimbabwe because we need to have peace of mind. We need to to to function properly. You understand? We need to also be somewhere where we belong. And here in South Africa, we do not belong and we are not welcome. So no matter what skills we can bring to the table, no matter what money we can bring to the table, no matter what businesses we open for for the people in South Africa, they just do not want that from us. So let us take all of our hard work, money and expertise somewhere where they are welcome and that place is Zimbabwe.
Join us my brothers and sisters. Let us go build Africa. Once we get done with that, we are going to extend our growth.
We're going to once we become a powerful force, we're going to extend our growth towards the rest of Africa, which is exactly what the South Africans want anyways. They just want us to go somewhere and build elsewhere and grow our our wealth and develop Africa. So let's stand united everyone and let us make this great. troubling issues such as uh what we have experienced in South Africa which I have spoken about that South Africans inherently are not against people from other nations. We are one people. We have always been one people and of course we've got to also pay heed to the security of those from other countries who are in South Africa but also pay heed to the concerns that are being raised by South Africa.

Governor You 2.5 million people.
We're trying to say that Edo state is safe. A state that is not safe commerce will not never strive. So the first thing we should do we have done is to keep Edo safe by providing security and security gadgets for our people to work.
>> Mr. Governor S point of correction except EP Edo state except I side be state if those places are part of Edo state sorry to say sir Edo is not safe guy just like this one just ordinary news or anything it's true and guy if you get your love student or no student just like this makes sense.
Don't make sense anymore.
>> Specifically, Ekoma. Um, and and it's just it's terrible. It's terribly sad to see, especially as the chief security officer of the state insists that the state is safe and that insecurity is fueled by uh opposition. Uh, Rafi, let me come to you.
>> Okay. Good. Wow. Me. Okay.
>> Let me let me You see the man that get you see the one that also gets 2.5 million votes for president. And it is not today we've had this rampant incessant kidnapping across our belt in Edu states. You remember the incident of the protest in Rome and what transpired around that time and the happened around that time. The question is what has Mr. PBlo been able to do about those circumstances and that's why you see why these politicians are so busy about politics rather than doing what they ought to do.
Then he leaves much to be desired. We've had constant issues around kidnapping constantly in that area those axis where you go out of bin because I know most of those areas when you travel around those flanks it is always problematic. What has he done to reduce the circumstances?
What has he done to reduce the incidents? Nothing.
>> No, >> nothing leaves more to be desired. So, we would like to call on Governor PBLO.
I think it's best you focus on insecurity in your state. And please do not tell us that, oh, it's the federal that supports security. No, no, not do not tell us that. There are people that make security provisions locally. So, focus on that and try as much as possible to get some level of reprieve in your states rather than this politician. You see, our leaders get so caught up in politics rather than doing the work they ought to do.
>> Absolutely. And and on that note, let's go to politics because >> just to say >> sure >> that I don't think that the governor has a blame in this matter. It's the job of political leaders to give the people hope. When the people complain that there are issues in the state, you have to reassure them. And that in my view is what governor has tried to do to say we look at this matter state is safe and all of that. You don't expect that the governor of a state will go on television and tell people that oh my state is not safe. He will say where there are incidents we will deal with those issues as the people have now come out to say in a in a there have been you know too many incidents of attacks. Now it's for the security authorities not just the state but also the federal and the agencies in that state to address uh uh all of that. I mean nobody want to live in a community uh where uh it is not safe. the restaurant tour uh Justin I think that is his name there have been also many other cases like that across Nigeria kidnappers you know attacking people and that's why we keep saying that presidentu must live up to his promise that this environment will be made safe for everybody whether you are in ai or you are in in gay or you are in Maduguri it remains a continuing problem and these issues come up again and again which should be a major campaign issue in this 2027 process if you say you want to position as president or as we want to hear what will you do about poverty what will you do about security in other countries of the world when they have elections there are campaign issues campaigns are driven by issues not by consensus and you think that is your birth right because your father is a traditional ruler or your father is a friend of important personalities this should be the uh you know bigger picture in terms of >> as you're talking about that you said that the work the prime minister did as prime minister will not have an effect on him becoming governor in or your state where no we're not discussing we're saying that the state has a responsibility we're talking so in one breath you're supporting this degrading of principles which degrading of principles have you established that it was a problem that went to kill people in I'm talking about based on the last thing you said just now I understand about the next conversation I'm discussing the responsibility of the state >> and I like the your last statements where you're talking about >> I know brought Shift confused.

Uh first of all we need to correct the impression that uh the matter was between DSX and SEARP. No that's not the correct position.
>> Okay.
>> The correct position is that the operative two operatives of DSS in their own personal capacity saf for defamation. Now as an ordinary citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria the question is whether they have that right or not. Okay. Now if you have the right to freedom of inspection now where that freedom of inspection enjoy the right of another citizen of Nigeria that citizen has a right of others in the courtroom and that's exactly what uh John and have done they submitted their grievances to the serenity of the courtroom and the courtroom and the court as well as has given a verdict and to that effect that is the position of the law today. You may say it's abnormal. You may say, "Oh, it has never happened before." But a president starts one day and although the respondents Sarah and another have the right of appeal but as we speak the law is that look as a citizen whether you are an operative of the agency or not. You have a right to your reputation and where that reputation is in judge then you have the right of remedy and that's exactly what the court has to say. So there's no big deal about it. I don't fuse about the >> okay thank you thank you for that clarification about that is of the official but the setup is arguing I'll read some of the argument they had I know this already a judgment but we can discuss judgment agree or disagree on the judgment they said they did not mention any name or specifically in fact they said their description was a tall large dark-kinned woman and a slim darkkinned man uh and they said the DSS claimed that one Sarah John visited them but in their book their register it's the name there was Sarah David. They also said that Sarah DSS with these officials of DSS showed up in a marked vehicle and literally intimidated their staff who raised alarm uh escalated it to the management and the management escalated it online and that it was until the press began to arrive or they had a wind of the fact that media is coming that's when they left the premises. So what do you make of that particular claim? So I wasn't in court.
I don't know whether you were in court.
So I don't know who presented what. They are basing this argument on the fact that there was um they called on president to investigate corruption against NNPCL and reverse fuel prices which is why the government quote unquote you know saw the need to come to the office that it was not a visit. It was an investigation.
Well is enough to grant that suit of defamation. the decision of the person and those person those operatives who went to to ser office they know themselves. So when you describe them and attributed what they did not do to them, they have the right to come out and say no, we did not do that and that's exactly what they've done. That's exactly what they've done that we whatever you have said. Yes, we're in your office. However, what you are to us, we did not do we did not intimidate anybody. We don't assault anybody. We went there on a finalization tour based on the fact that there's change of governance in Sarah. That's that's the claim. So if that is the case now if you now go to your if has gone to his ex handle to say that oh uh the operative or DSS officials came to our office to invade and to intimidate and assault our staff. Now these people have their right to say no that is not our mission there. who went there to do so and so so and so and they've submitted their grievances to the court rule and the courts has said that you you you defend this operation of of GSX and to this extent so so do >> it's not about holding security agencies accountable it's about not putting out false publication because what happened in September 2024 was just a routine visit or more or less official visit by operatives of the DSS to ser office in Abua to familarize himself with the officers of Sarah because the DSS operatives were the ones in charge of NGOs's. So when they got to the office, they filled they registered the visitors book and also they were warmly received by the receptionist. There was nothing to show that they invaded the office but the person that but there was a tweets that alleged that they came they invaded and some person were also on standby outside the office but that was not the case and this particular tweet was done by Sarah which was retweeted by other media organizations and individuals and the according to the two operatives they said they were suspended from from work by the DSS. So they individually sued Sarah for defamation and in this particular case we know defamation can be in two forms can be level or slander but in this particular case is level and the court said from all the evidences tended and form all the indications and from the from the way the officers conducted themselves at the premises of Sarah there was no truth in the tweets that Sarah put out and what was the reason for putting out such a tweet when it wasn't truthful and the court awarded a sum of 100 million NRA against Sarah to be paid to the operatives and also 1 million NRA in litigation and the court also said that till that money is paid it will acrew 10% uh interest yearly till it is finally liquidated. Well, SER will probably know that they've been doing very well in terms of advocacy for human rights, rule of law and justice.
But I will say this particular one from the judgment today, they got it wrong.
The judge said that this is not to uh subdue the operations of NGOs. But it's to ensure the proper use of social media and also to ensure that misinformation or things are not construed to the public because sometimes you cannot control how the narrative spans and how people take it. So it's it's a way to ensure that social media is being used properly and not to spread misinformation. But moving forward this is a whole lot. I know Zap is a non-governmental organization and also not profit making. So most likely they will appeal this judgment but uh we didn't get to speak to their lawyers but this is a huge sum. I don't want to say they will they would opt to pay the 101 millionaire to the operatives. So as time goes on we know the next action they intend to take.
>> The court didn't just award damages it also mandated public apologies across multiple media platforms. I guess we'll see how impossible to immediately appeal this judgment. The statement further read, "The case represent a textbook example of judicial harassment and a strategic lawsuit against public participation designed to intimidate civil society and deter legitimate human rights advocacy.
One is strongly making his position known that it will not accept the decision of the trial court said we strongly disagree with the judgment which fails to reflect the evidence presented before the court and disregard Nigerian's constitutional guarantees and international human rights obligation.
The judgment sent a dangerous message and create a chilling effect on freedom.
South Africa.
South Africa.
I'd like to just move a simple motion to commute this thing to committee on foreign affairs at the where's women's committee diaspora and one other relevant committee so that they were able to study and come back to us in two weeks.
and national security and intelligence.
Let us not excuse me gentlemen gentlemen listen let us not let us not kill our relationship we are very angry nobody's happy our minist foreign affair is in South Africa now and and the the the ministry invited the high commissioner yesterday and you have invited the high commissioner let's say let us not because of seeing them within anything you say immediately but not because people want to be seen in the television to speak about this no let us quickly set up these committees and come back to the Senate. So if it means a day if for 8 hour if means a day everybody in this Senate will speak you give the 109 senators including you the opportunity to speak that will be nice because wasting our time and going back to taking to taking the the the the something I nobody's devotating from the constitution we are asking you to do it right you must do it right you cannot do it the way you want to do it Mr. Mr. President I move a motion that we will h we will ask our committee to give us the governor >> colle is my name representative central I rise to second the motion he believe moved by my friend and brother Senator Oali that we should refer this matter to the committee on foreign >> he's saying that we should set up a committee >> why not >> he said that we should set up a committee >> we should we should uh allow setting committees on external affairs and diaspora to exhaustively sit with the other relevant committees and discuss and come up with actionable uh solutions and so that we can uh debate on it. So ask me to the prayers.
I would have if I were to move a motion senator, my motion would have said that we should have an ad committee to le to the house of representatives and the executive and get back to us as soon as possible because this issue is very very serious and with actionable plans. So uh no you have already passed we have passed your motion and and the motion has failed. But let us look at the prayers. If the prayers are not stringent enough then we can have additional prayers but please don't forget we can't do this alone. We are insisting that we involve the house of representatives and then we'll have a joint team that will go to South Africa to meet with the parliament of South Africa and for this I don't mind if the senate president has to read I don't mind if the senate president has to the lives of Nigerians are are very very important and crucial and that is why we are here. We are here to protect the lives, the welfare and the and the properties of Nigerians.
This is just not acceptable. This is barbaric. This is crude. This is unheard of. This is stone age behavior. And we and we are not seeing action from the government of South Africa. That is the aspect that annoys me. We are not seeing action allowing us to air our view on this very sensitive matter. I strongly align myself with their last submission that if Nigerian must talk about this matter, there must be decisive actions to be taken. It is not just something we are all paying. Everybody's angry. But what are we going to do? We must take some decisive actions. For example, Bswana have closed their border with South Africa and have also cut electricity supply within the region where they connect to South Africa. Zimbabwe have closed their border with South Africa because of this embarrassing xenophobic attack that is targeted at at ls in South Africa. Mr. President, but if you look at this motion, this motion is not only about South Africa. This motion also included Ghana and other countries that have started treating Nigeria as if Nigeria is no longer the giant of Africa that we used to be. Mr. President, Nigeria, we have paid our dues in the African continent.
There is hardly any country in Africa that will have product in Nigeria will not go to assist them. I know how much money, energy and resources we spent to restore South Africa from the appetite regime.
I also recall the issue of ecom just a few days ago in Liberia and even in Ghana here. So we must take decisive action on a matter of this nature. So it is not something that we are going to treat with levity. Nigerians must hear our voice. They must know that the people's parliament is angry about what is happening to our nationals in South Africa and in other countries. Mr. President, I want to conclude by saying that it is better to allow this motion. First of all, we condemn the action. We condemn it in its entirety. We also appreciate the fact that our minister of foreign affairs has stepped in. We will encourage them to continue diplomatic talks with South Africa because that's what they're doing right now. Then why the Senate as a committee I mean as as a parliament we mandate two or three committees to quickly look at this and get across to minister of foreign affairs to know exactly what they're doing and report back to Senate within two weeks so that the Senate will announce it and take a holistic action on this matter.
only Nigerian Africans know where South Africa is and we can take this one to their territory if need be.
We cannot sit down and lament why this is happening. Life has no duplicates and Nigeria are being for no reason.
We have alternatives. We have options.
And therefore, this word should be sent across to South Africa. We know where South Africans are. Not only Nigeria but all over Africa.
And we can take this fight to their territory if need be. But we cannot sit down and typical of some of us lament these things is happening.
There is no duplicate. Life has no duplicate. All of a sudden you are killed. Your families have lost you for no reason whatsoever. Mr. President, I think this is as serious as it gets and today sir, if this is the only thing the people's chamber, the senate of the republic will discuss, please be it.
for the next 10 years.
President we should not take the action of revoking licenses of South African companies yet. We need foreign investment in Nigeria.
attract foreign investors.
First of all, I send the wrong signal only. We should rather as a senate condemn what we are seeing happening to Nigeria and South Africa and urge the federal government to take serious step unemployment.
I want South Africa.
But please, we should not uh take the action of recommending withdrawal of licenses of uh South African companies yet because we need foreign investments in Nigeria.
We should rather as uh a senate we should condemn what we are seeing all the federal government to take serious steps and of course revert to us as soon as practicable and uh and if need be we can also set up a committee after the federal government has uh returned to meet with our counterparts in the South African parliament because we We have a lot of South Africans living in Nigeria and if we move to go and start dragging them from their kitchens, uh, drag them on the streets, stone them and use blocks to kill them or burn them inside their shops. Uh, we are returning to the the stone age.
Nigeria South Africa, Nigeria.
close brother.
Canada, Americude Mosco uh by 1977 when Kabiki was in Nigeria uh all expenses paid uh as the representative of the African National Congress. The Nigerian government provided protection for Becki and other South Africans at the height of the appetite regime. In 1990, Nigeria played a major role in also uh providing form uh the release of Nelson Mandela and by 1994 South Africa became independent uh of the appetite regime in South Africa.
That history was not taught. The South African government did not do enough when it comes to providing, equipping, sensitizing and informing or communicating to young South Africans the sacrifices human and material that Nigeria made in getting South Africa to where it is today.
>> If that was done, regardless of the poverty, regardless of the social economic condition that these people are confronted with, they will respect Nigerians. They will value Nigerians and they will see in Nigerians brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, friends that they should appreciate, they should value and they should even provide protection for. That has not happened.
So we are dealing with a huge deficit associated with the inability of the government of South Africa and some of its opinion leaders to really pass on to the younger generation a huge and rich history of sacrifice that Nigeria and other big brothers within the African continent uh made. I see envy.
>> I see laziness. I see uh the refusal to accommodate Africans, your brothers, your sisters in what has happened assembly.
Senate moves to block exgovernors, exgovernors from holding key position in legislative with new tough rules. By implication, only senators currently serving in the 10th assembly who secure re-election into the 11th Senate will qualify to v for the Senate. Presidency and other principal position senate restrict its presidency to returning 10th assembly.
When the Senate has again when the Senate has again amended the standing rules, a move that technically eliminates the eligibility of incoming senators elect in the 11th National Assembly to contest principal and preciding offices. The move followed the presentation of a motion by the deputy leader of the Senate Lola APC at plenary on Tuesday after about 3 hours of closed door session. One the amended order for states nomination of senators to serve as preciding officer shall be in accordance with the ranking of senators shall be strictly too.
The order of ranking, former president of the Senate. Number two, former deputy president of the Senate. Number three, former Mr. President Senator >> [ __ ] approve the chair. Approve the chair.
Approve the chair. Senator [ __ ] Approve the chair.
And I've said people have been in these chambers for 3 years now. We should begin to know the rules of the Senate. I don't want to be to be accused of executive arrogance. That's why I keep tolerating these things. Please, there's no new senator any longer. There's no new senator any longer. Let us try our best to abide by the rules here. I've said if you're a policeman, if you are a policeman, you will wear police uniform unless you are in investigation. If you're a soldier, you must wear the army uniform. If you're a senator, you must go by the rules. Am I right? So, point of order, you are ruled out of order.

>> Uh Mr. President Senator Adam, please be guided. Be guided.
I am now I am now invoking powers conferred powers conferred to the office of the chief to order you to resume your seat and be guided by the ruling of the presiding officer. I am saying so in my capacity as the chief of the Senate. Be guided. Be guided. Be guided.
I don't want the I don't want to invoke the powers of the office of the chip whip but I Senator Barbe Senator Barbe No, you don't you don't need to come to me. I just want to tell you, you see what I've been saying that we must read the rules.
We must read the rules. We must read the rules. Page 1964.
Page 1965.
So distinguishable senator we shouldn't just go home feel form contest election come here without knowing anything about the rules.
Order 20 subf says that the senate president shall interpret the rules.
I didn't write this.
So please um Senator for the last time if you become unruly in the Senate we will we will we will take we will use these same rules to to take you out of the Senate. So the last one VC CR unit, Violent Crime Response Unit.
Somebody was found with a pistol.
He was not even arrested by the police.
The civilian did that job for us. Handed him over to the police and an assistant superintendent of police brought out his gun.
Gentlemen, where did they teach us that?
Did they teach you that in the academy?
>> No sir.
>> Did they issue that in police?
>> No sir. When did a policeman learn that?
>> If you see policemen doing well, comment them. And if you see them doing what they not expected to do, please and please inform us about it. We act on it.
I'm sure you're going to ask me about the incident that took place in Delta some few days ago. So we are not happy about it. And then what did we do about it immediately? Luckily the uh the FDC was in session. We brought them in. They were being tried. Uh the officers faced the FDC and they have all been recommended for uh dismissal. Uh I've not been able to get the police service commission today, but I'm sure they will have done their part because I spoke with the chairman police service commission who was not very happy about the incident and he said he was ready to cooperate that immediately our letter comes they going to grant the dismissal.
>> I'm proud to announce a landmark reform in the operational structure of the Nigerian police force. We have reconstituted and remodeled our state level anti-rime capacity. The special weapons and tactics units have been reorganized and elevated to a new formation. the violent crime response unit, VCR. This is not a rebranding exercise. The VCR represents a fundamental shift in how we approach serious crime in Nigeria. Every officer assigned to the team have undergone intensive specialized training in tactical operation, human rights compliance, intelligence analysis, and rule of engagement. We are working actively with urgency to rebuild and sustain your trust. I ask Nigerians to judge us our actions going forward.
All commissioners of police have been directed to immediately take a comprehensive audit of arms and ammunition within their restrictive commands. This exercise modal, transparent and properly documented with detailed reports. The objective is clear to strengthen accountability identifying existing gaps and provide an accurate assessment of our operational needs. Let me emphasize that this is not a routine administrative tax but a critical measure to enhance our readiness, prevent misuse and ensure that all assets entrusted to the force are properly accounted for and optimally deployed.

I don't know why you would think uh it could be anything but uh firm commitment to ADC. I was one of the founding fathers of the party and uh we didn't join uh ADC with the expectation that every Nigerian will be a member of the ADC. That is a philosophy of APC who preach one party state who desire one.
We join APC to build a party that has endurance, that has longevity, that will focus on processes and procedures rather than an uh a frantic urgent outcome. So we remain in APC in ADC >> ADC along with all other people of like minds and uh I think we are doing well.
>> Right. Well, you say you're doing well, but the the the the evidence points to something totally different.
Like in politics uh sometimes uh a passer by can just assume what is happening inside that room. Until you are inside the room, you don't know what is going on there.
>> Well, Peter was inside the room.
>> Peter was No, no, no, no, no. Don't rush yourselves. Don't don't rush yourself.
Peter will be joined the coalition after it had all began for quite a long time.
And let me tell you the history of it.
He had always been somebody that is very shifty when it came to ADC. We never we never felt he will his heart was in it.
And uh we went over backwards since we we're a party that is broad-based. We want to carry everybody along to accommodate Peter Obis. I will tell you at one time we just felt that he needed some encouragement to stay in the party and we offered him to single-handedly bring the organizing secretary of the party which is who is at the heart of the processes of the party. We offered it to him. Bring it wherever whoever you want. We'll accept it. We never extended that goodwill to any other member of the party. He's not interested in the organization, >> but he brought the organiz if you have if if you have confidence in the party's organizing secretary that assures you that you cannot be manipulated out because the heart of electoral processes in the political party is the organizing secretary's office. So we said bring that person wherever you want from from wherever and he brought the organizing secretary single-handedly. He is now the organizing secretary. We did that because we felt that he was somebody that needed to be pushed to be edged along to be encouraged to join the party and we did it. So you can see right from inception we suspected that his heart was not with us.
>> Why do you think his heart wasn't with you?
>> I can't talk of it. Pet don't want to answer that. If you trace his history from information every now and then he's somebody who will tell you I will be on the ballot come 2027. I will be on the ballot come 2077. I'm not going to participate in a dollarized uh causation. He kept on saying that it's a mantra with him like a soul. And what does when we read it, what that means is that it is saying that he can only remain in a political party where he has he's the sole candidate.
>> Well, it suggests that he's suspicious of the motives of of the people in the ADC.
>> I don't think it is suspicion. I think it's fear. And a Democrat, a politician who fears election, I think has no business being won. He doesn't want to participate in primaries. uh he prefers to be consensus candidate and that consensus must be him. Now put yourself in the position now for our party leadership.
>> Uh what exactly is happening in your party that everybody's losing or let me not say everybody the members who are leaving have lost hope to the fact that if they stay with you you're going to jeopardize their political future. In fact the Senate President today said your party is dead. Do you agree to that verdict of the Senate President that was happening?
>> First I don't mind uh the Senate President. I didn't expect him to say anything otherwise. uh for me let me tell you straight off that there's nothing wrong with our party perhaps something is wrong with those that are leaving and they are the only one who can see the reason why they are leaving most especially Mr. Peter most especially Mr. Mr. I left uh there was a purpose for the convergence in the four sisters that he joined. There was a reason there was a purpose for it. Now he's the only one who can say this is the reason why I left and I'm happy that in his statement he said I didn't leave because of artiku. I didn't leave because of David Mark but I left because I'm uncomfortable with certain things is right. So he's the only one who can actually say and those that are leaving are the only only ones who can actually say the reason they are leaving because there's no opposition party today that does not have one K leg or the other. So for them to have left they are the only ones who can say I can't speak for they can tell Nigerians why they have but one thing I know is that a lot of them have especially those that left at national assembly today they were leaving not because they love NDC but they were leaving perhaps because they felt they needed a platform to advance their political you know political I mean journey or whatever so for me and then when you look at some people especially Mr. I'll be you will know that he's not a man who likes to face challenges. He's not a leader who wants to fight for the people. He only wants to fight for himself and given it's his right to do that. So for me like I said he's only one who can tell the entire country why he had to do this. A lot of Nigerian are expecting that opposition will come together and push the f this this fition out of out of out of power but he felt something has changed. I remember in one of the meetings of the coalition he said a statement that if we have if coalition should present two two presidents we're handing over a return to Tinubu on the platter. So I don't know what has changed now. So as far as someone I am concerned I think uh it it will be in you know be able to tell Nigerians why EA moved. So nothing is wrong with our party. We are still continue with our program our programs and uh and activities. Uh you can see we rolled out our plans where we started selling forms and a lot of things are going on with the party. Regardless when you talk about the court cases we don't have any problem with that. They're just reckless you know court I mean court cases that we just saw three of them and by in the next couple of days court will deal with them. So We left ADC because his excellency at said that coalition was formed in his house and the ADC is his party that nobody will tell him anything.
Dubai, >> let him tell Nigerians. There you are telling us the mass movement. We left ADC because his excellency back said that was coming in his house that ADC is his party that nobody will tell him anything. We went to him and say can you step down and lead to and others to go into primaries.
Let say he is stepping down today that wrote me that he has conceded to the south that wrote and should go to the f and do primaries or any other person from the south if does not come back tomorrow to go and face anybody. What are you telling?
somebody that that that stood for election in 2023 and you are telling me about primaries, my brothers, stop telling lies to Nigerians. Tell us how you people came into coalition and we said no former legislators and current legislators. We sat down, we went to all their houses and we are not getting that the south movement they considered to be south.
What you hear them saying tomorrow is that a politician that he has no other places to conquer.
>> But I keep on asking >> I'm coming. I'm coming.
>> Because of time honorable you can land on your thought in 30 seconds so that we can begin to wrap up.
>> But you gave him 20 minutes.
Go ahead. But he shouldn't be attacking PB.
>> All right. I understand. I understand.
We're actually waiting for you to join in.
Goodbye to bad radiance.
originality.
does not stand a chance against a chance against consider you know he loves a lot and for him sometimes he crack expensive jokes very very expensive jokes. Anyone who knows the political constitution of Nigeria will know that ABC today despite the movement out of it by the obedience and the conians remains the leading political party today.
uh don't forget that ADC was also likely an offshoot of PDP and you can see the kind of realignment you can see what happened in just two weeks ago that people saw the capacity of ADC when it was invited to for a joint with the PDP. So if you look at it the next election will be literally decided by the APC and the ADC will I always like to mention this the largest party in Nigeria it's not APC it's not ABC it's not NBC it's not NP it is what I call the party of Nigeria but the ordinary people as you and I in Nigeria who are not interested in parties. So that is why the arrogance of ATC say we are big nobody can beat us there's no way we can defeat the party of Nigeria. So the pros are there waiting to inflict severe punishment on those who have played their lives worse in the last 3 years or thereabouts. Uh so when the senate president said is dead with all due respect to him he was just joking he couldn't have meant it and he knows they teaching he knows the truth because some people in the world you don't spend money on logistics logistics everywhere in the world >> in using delegates to secure their vote for you. Do you describe that as logical?
>> Even now is a lot easier for me to test his popularity.
All it takes now is consensus. So all you do when you go to it is everybody register.
So if you will get but he knows that there is no way whether directing direct consensus it will be difficult for you to beat a man who got to national in 2019 to beat a man who has met and he pursued his dream since around 1992 1993 and not giving up that is the whole of a serious politician. He builds every electoral cycle brings him closer to his destination. So I would wish that would wait and test his popularity. That's number one. Number two is that OB is afraid of his supporters. They already told him in advance that if he agreed to be vice president to anyone, they are going to paper.
For example, loyalty.
popularity.
Now analysis 2023.
President Nigeria for example the virtue of leadership.
That's the virtue of leadership.
That's a virtue of a good leadership.
SWAT analysis analysis weakness.
So take a look at the life of president after 20 2007 when he left office. He never contested for any position. He was busy building party. Some of them he gave them platform on his own party. He was continuing to Ghana synergy. States were taken from the southwest by the PDP. If you remember in those days he focused on reclaiming those states. He extended the influence of his party at the time to become a national party by reaching out to other parts of Nigeria.
By 2015, you can feel in the air that the opposition was ready to take power.
They fed off of the realities of that time. If you contrast it what is happening now, look at how they all gathered in NDC and I mean in ADC and they were talking the high heavens and suddenly they woke up one morning and they all ran to another one. I think it's Niger Delta Congress. No, Nigeria Democratic. That's that's the name.
>> No, I can't remember the name. But you can see that even among themselves they are now pointing out as they pointing out or exposing the motivation behind the defection. On your station here the other day, uh somebody came and was saying that Peter ran away because he couldn't stand primaries and that is his nature. He has never stood for any primaries. He runs away for democratic process by which people are elected because he knows he doesn't have the gravitas. I mean he governed as a governor and long after he left office you cannot see any of his former commissioners former aid or administrative now with him even those ones he did 2023 they are no longer with him you can always tell when you see a leader that is desperate or opportunistic or somebody wants to seize the moment but not one that wants to solve problem didn't you remember the video that just came out not long ago where uh Peter was saying that he's smart that he doesn't see where there's trouble once there is trouble he he runs away how can a man who wants to govern a country that must consistently have problem and you must find a solution And yet your characteristic is that once you sight problem you run away.
>> So you and others are saying that this move is seeming somewhat confused but on the other hand they're saying that it's strategic. What do you have to say about >> how can how can a move that has shattered them be strategic for example one that by leaving ADC you can see effectively ADC is dead. I mean anybody who thinks that is life in ADC is in fool's paradise. Then the NDC where they have gathered this is a gathering of internally displaced politicians who are yet to identify their purpose. If you remember when he left ADC to NDC, what was the accusation of ADC that he couldn't even understand the manifesto of that party? Now within this short time, how can Peter create a manifesto?
And if you don't have a manifesto, so what are you riding on as to the reason why you want this government out and that you have a better alternative? So there's nothing strategic about it. It is the aftermath of the confusion and I'm a very good uh Nostradamus in politics. I predicted when everybody thought he has they went to ADC everything all is huru. I said he is going to leave and run on another platform. I want to give you another prediction here today in the NDC where he has just joined. You will see shortly before after the primaries they going to disintegrate again because whatever will lead to the process of the consensus or the primaries would have clearly shown that Peter is a desperate person and not one that is giving The only primaries We learn what you light southwest. Southstrument unpredictable.
Transform Action Group.
from partnership reformation.
God bless you and I love you.
I love you and I see tomorrow by God's grace. Remain blessed.
MTN in fact cheat DSTV.
Bank Open PDP.
Why should Nigeria be paying for DSTV that they are not using?
The same way that we are paying for power that we are not using. You go to communities, their transformer has stopped working one year ago but the people are still getting bills on a monthly basis. The same way you are not using DSTV, you have traveled for holiday with your families. By the time you come back, everything have been consumed. But it doesn't happen in South Africa where they coming from. So these are things I don't know how you advise them. Listen to me. You you were the consultant to telecommunication. So I don't know how you advise them that they will continue to rob Nigeria and cheat Nigeria and then you are here before us.
So you when you are answering just a consultant then also from my point of view as as a sorry one one second from my point of view your your resume is so rich towards fiscal policies extremely rich towards fiscal policies KPMG that that everything are you actually sure that you were recommended for power you can you can Sir, Minister of Power.
Come on.
Prophet CBC PDP let me tell you what I don't like crisis what you call leadership leadership is for you to stand to challenges and see how you settle those crisis. He left Africa. He came to P. He ran away with that one man in Philipp everything.
He went to labor. Labor had crisis. You could also use your leadership skills, your leadership problems to put labor together. You run away from labor. You went to now have problem. Oh, I don't know what's happening there. You run away from again. You're not in Nc. Oh, you're looking for food is ready. Food is mama. Food is ready. anywhere who will stabil life if you cannot stay and stabilize. Why the people are coming all the way from Philipp all the giant with allocation upon the house we say you should educate you aware of this and I see you have refused to tell the public what is on ground and you are coming down to say oh we are setting up a committee how and you are deceiving people that you want to sell from I dare anybody say I dare them Let me see a place office you will name PDP national let me let me dare them open office anywhere anywhere anywhere anywhere in Nuja you don't do you don't do secret in your bedroom you don't do it in your say you're a party go and put sign PDP uh national secretary just occupying we occupy Everybody know that PDP national what? Secretary.
>> If you are saying that you want to sign form to who? You will submit it where it's not fraud. You know that you went to court. We didn't go to court. You went to court and court get judgment against you. You have not even state the judgment. You set aside that judgment and you not you are not coming to deceit people. You are setting up a committee.
We want to begin to sell for >> 419. What is 419?
No you clarification this judgment by justice was it the one that went all the way to the Supreme Court which was given no when they went to Supreme Court was justice and was one who get judgment in front of was who get judgment in Austin and co what they were trying to do so that one has now gone to Supreme Court and Supreme Court the judgment of so where is this one what I'm trying to say now when to the so-called amal convention they now again went to high court in this action that the federal high court should recognize them compel I to recognize them as the officers of the party and court said you disobey our own judgment here >> just judgment just a judgment and that had been set aside I mean even by the appeal and you have the audacity to file again coming to federal high court who has stopped not to do that convention telling us to compel in to recognize you a convention that never happened that never took place in the house of the law and the judge said listen I'm not only going to set it aside moving forward too the second defendant defendant yes again where he is he's in peace National PDP.
Yes. And then two judge.
>> Yes. Fine. Now if I may help you, let me help you. Even though you don't want to pay me, let me help you so that when you are telling the public, tell them what happened.
Okay.
Finally.
We You know my dear, the point is this. You can only force a horse to the brook. You cannot force that horse to drink. You understand? It is in their own perview to accept that there is h a political party with a program with a statue with procedures and if they fail to want to abide that's why I call them agent provocators if that is what they want to do they cannot stand with the party a man who says h you you won't listen first you remember the court of appeal in order said we should go and you know hold a meeting and see how we can resolve our internet problem refused to turn up. Now they have gone to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has said all those three that were members of the working committee remain suspended. So would you not accept the ruling of the highest body? You know if you want to be a good politician I will refer him. Fortunately as a lawyer there is a Magna Catata charter that was in 1215 in England here which states that even the king of England cannot be above the law. So nobody can be above the law and being a lawyer I don't know which school of law he went but as an engineer I know for real but I read because I studied the history too.
The Magnakata Chhata says it all. So if he says he doesn't want to do this and that, I will advise I will send my advice to the president that he he he pretends to be working for him. He there is more of what they call a political undertaker and an agent provocator. You don't need this in this country for God's sake. And it will not only be him.
If he is able to to to to to destabilize the country, the fault will be on the president because he's not the president. A man who says he's a member of our party has appointed somebody now nominated somebody to be the governorship candidate for APC in Rivers and he's also nominating somebody to be PDP governorship candidate. What kind of thing is
