[00:00:04]That's the weight of 400 school buses every single day. I'm Leslie with Pinellas County Solid Waste and I talk trash, literally. Most of our garbage is burned at the waste-to-energy facility, turning trash into power and saving valuable landfill space. But when there's too much trash, it ends up here, the landfill. This is our only landfill and there's no room for another. We've got about 72 years of space left, but we can make it last even longer. Did you know over 70% of what we get here could have been reused, recycled, or composted? This landfill is our last resort, so reduce your use, reuse what you already have, and recycle right.
