[00:00:08]Here is the exact engineering reason why. Every aircraft reflects radar energy back to the source. That reflection is called a radar cross-section. The larger the aircraft, the stronger the return signal. The F-22 has a radar cross-section of approximately 0.0001 square meters. For reference, a standard commercial airliner returns roughly 100 square meters. The F-22 achieves this through three precise engineering decisions. First, edge alignment. Every surface angle on the airframe is calculated to deflect radar energy away from the source rather than back toward it. Second, RAM coating. The entire skin of the aircraft is layered with radar absorbent material, a compound that converts radar energy into heat rather than reflecting it. Third, internal weapons bay. No external pylons, no missiles hanging off the wings, nothing protruding from the airframe to create a radar return. The result is an aircraft that is physically present but electronically invisible. That is not stealth, that is engineering.
