Alberta's potential independence movement, led by Premier Danielle Smith's October referendum, highlights historical grievances including resource exploitation since 1905, political underrepresentation despite having double the population of many provinces, and Western alienation stemming from decades of subsidizing Eastern Canada; the movement has gained significant support within the United Conservative Party (approximately 60%), with similar independence movements emerging in Saskatchewan and British Columbia, while Canada's decentralized confederation system with three branches of power (municipal, provincial, and federal) creates ongoing tensions between provincial resource rights and federal authority.

Alberta Leaves Canada!Added:
This October, Canada may cease to exist as a country you and I all know by losing Alberta, which would quite literally landlock British Columbia and split country into half.
And I want to dedicate this video to this discussion today.
And what of you who are watching this channel, you already know me and my political opinion on Alberta independence. This video I want to dedicate to people who are not watching this channel and who are not familiar what is happening in Canada and what is going on in Alberta.
Well, first of all, recently, as you might have seen, Marc Garneau has came out and he said that it's a dangerous bluff for Alberta to want independence. He also said that it's not going to be sufficient to get 50 plus one vote as per Clarity Act for Alberta independence, where he triggered Bloc Québécois and couple of people from that party that publicly stated, literally 2 days ago, saying that they literally support Alberta and that Marc Garneau is overstepping from his federalist power into the business of provinces where he shouldn't be getting involved. They also reminded that they can do their own consultations, mean referendums with their own people at any time they decide to do so, and that Marc Garneau shouldn't be overstepping or interfering into internal provincial things like this. Marc Garneau also said that this reminds him of Brexit and it was not a good idea and that he doesn't support it. This October, Danielle Smith is putting this question on a ballot whether Alberta wants to stay in Canada.
It is a different kind of question, not what a lot of people were actually expecting for Alberta independence because everyone wanted a clear question, constitutional question as per Clarity Act whether Alberta wants to stay in Canada or not. Instead, Danielle Smith made a representation that well, whether they're going to do a referendum or not. The question is uh phrased in a such a way that the court cannot block it and it is made in a such a way that if people decide that they want the referendum to have the referendum as a separate one question only ballot on referendum. A lot of people from Alberta Independence Movement are unhappy about done about this specific question for.
One specific reason is because they are thinking that Danielle Smith might be using them as as a pretense for her next provincial elections to stay in party and it offended a lot of Alberta patriots in a way that now they are thinking whether they should be keeping Danielle Smith in power or taking her down. And in fact, a lot of Alberta patriots and people who support Alberta independence would want to change Danielle Smith and change and do a leadership review by buying UCP pump party membership. So, there is that going on as well. And I want to remind you that probably about 60% of people within UCP party in Alberta are actually supporting Alberta independence. And in a way, the federalists and such people as Thomas Lukaszuk and Jason Kenney are panicking right now stating that that could be undemocratic a way of taking over the power within the province rural provincial power where Danielle Smith had kind of come to power not under the pretense of being an independence party, but now people are taking over the party and potentially doing a leadership review could change the trajectory of the government and what the government was actually elected for, which I believe is a total nonsense from my personal perspective because that's exactly how Jason Kenney was removed. He just he's just grieving from losing his power after all of those very severe restrictions that he >> [gasps] >> made Albertans go through during the entire situation when he was in power.
That's exactly what Danielle Smith did to the UCP party and that's exactly what might be potentially happening to her right now. Now, do I support that? Do I not support that? I'm not going to be stating it in this video, but I'm going to tell you one thing is that what matters for me, personally, I'll state my opinion. I support Alberta independence and I'm going to be voting for Alberta to leave Canada when the vote comes.
You might already seen one videos and you probably know that that's what I would do. That's what my plan is. You have to decide what you want to do. Uh now, if Alberta separates from Canada and if you don't know much about Canada and you've been new or you're an immigrant like myself, uh you came to Canada or you grew up in Canada, but you never had interest consideration Canada was formed in 1905 and that's when the Alberta province was created from Northwest Territories. Uh so, one of the biggest disadvantages to Alberta unlike any other province was not to get its resources like other provinces did and that means oil and everything else that Alberta had at that time that I'm pretty sure they didn't even know about it. So, anyways, in 1935, the Resource Transfer Act has fixed that such issue. It took just like 25-30 years for Alberta to get access to its own resources to be a rightful province with an equal right within Canada. Yet, Alberta has double the population that a lot of provinces than a lot of provinces are and has half the seats within House of Commons and well, in in in in general, you know, like I'm going to be going into much details on that, but you you got me. So, Alberta has been put into a disadvantage always due to they wanted at some point to create a province It's Buffalo which would unite Alberta and Saskatchewan into province but into one province, but that would be very powerful province economically and politically. It would potentially influence Canada in such a way that the center of power would not be in Ottawa, but would be in the Western Canada. That was not a good outcome for Laurence and elites and to maintain power in Ottawa, they decided not to unify unify Alberta and Saskatchewan into one giant powerful province.
Buffalo. Now, just so you know, Alberta has its own prosperity project that has been collecting signatures. They could have collected 301 signatures. And also we had a Forever Canada petition that collected, I think, 450,000 signatures with one single question that is in general whether Alberta wants to leave Canada or stay in Canada. That made Daniel Smith put specific question on the ballot. Now, as you might have known, Mark Carney recently came out and he said that that's a serious bluff and that he is not going to be allowing the main constitutional question literally to understand the democratic process that existed before Magna Carta and the majority vote of 50 plus 1% that he's not going to respect that vote and that is a dangerous bluff bluff and that he's not according to the Clarity Act, which is absolutely unclear how many votes you need for the majority vote.
He says that it's not enough in his opinion. Probably his opinion would make it enough it's a 100% to be majority vote, but we all know that democratically constitutionally that should be logically if people are more logical 50% plus 1 that triggered Bloc Québécois couple of people who came out and they said that Mark Carney is overstepping into politics of a different province and he shouldn't be doing that. Now, I have mentioned all of that now.
Now, we have a huge possibility of Alberta independence and historically, if you are not from Canada or not been living enough in Canada, there has always been a Western alienation where well, basically, Western provinces such as Alberta and Saskatchewan and uh even British Columbia, there were always some groups in there that wanted to have its independence from Canada.
And especially in rural British Columbia. Now, it is actually growing. I can tell you that. Um I've heard that such politicians as Corey Morgan and others have been traveling to British Columbia because they are starting their own Saskatchewan Prosperity Project, which would support independence of Saskatchewan from the Confederation of Canada. That movement is growing there, and there is also, I believe, a starting of uh Prosperity Project in British Columbia. And it's all called Western alienation because Western Canada has been resource-rich, labor-rich, and has been always subsidizing the rest of Canada, Eastern Canada. And also, I want to explain to you the entire Confederation of Canada, how it works, because a lot of people who are not from Canada Oh, by the way, I just found a picture at Hoff, Alberta, living right where I'm walking. Just so you know, if If you're supporting Alberta independence like I do, just put a Alberta flag on your house like this. Show your neighbors your support, and remind them that they're not alone, because if those guys are supporting Alberta independence, they don't see a flag. There is one flag over here that supports Alberta independence.
So, more and more people are like this person are coming out supporting Alberta independence and showing their democratic vote for for it. The Confederation of Canada is being is in basically a decentralized power, unlike many European countries, and people who are not from Canada do not know that. Uh we have three branches of power, municipal, provincial, and federal, and all of them are responsible for different things. For example, provincial, you know, pro- a provincial uh provinces are responsible for resources, medicine, education, and so on.
Municipal, they have their own bylaws, zoning, and so on. But the federal power is responsible for protection, defense force, uh police, such as RCMP, and you know, of course, international agreements, and so on. So, there is a uh Canada is a decentralized power. It's not centralized. It's a confederation of multi- of many provinces together united in decentralized power. But however, right now, the current government is trying to take over and make it more centralized with different legislation by passing privacy act, where Google and Apple are wanting to leave Canada, uh creating surveillance wars to surveil surveillance after their own citizens, uh controlling social media, and um basically restraining the freedom of speech. I would say the best unpaid actor for Alberta independence would be Mark Carney, that triggers a lot of people.
After October 19, you might actually wake up in a different country, a country that would be split into two, uh where British Columbia would be landlocked from the rest of Canada.
And in fact, they might have do their own referendum, and Saskatchewan might do their own referendum. So, it's a big deal, a third world's largest supplier of oil, that is now restricted by policy, by green globalist agenda that Mark Carney has, and the opportunity. One of the wealthiest province as per GDP per capita of Canada might actually become independent from the rest of Canada, and unleash the all energy potential within through international trade, and so on.
And you know, it's it's interesting things that are happening. Now, whether you want to vote for Alberta independence or not, that's up to you.
You have to make your own decision.
However, I want to remind you that the government does not want to lose Alberta, so they would do their maximum possible uh you know, pressure to keep Alberta to keep Alberta within Canada, spread misinformation, and and scare you off using their fear-mongering tactics not to vote for that.
It's the battlefield is starting tomorrow tomorrow on on Friday. It's going to be an official day for the campaign to begin whether Alberta is going to be the uh you know, within Canada or without Canada, and it's going to be approximately three federalist groups starting their own campaign with hundreds of thousands or maybe millions of dollars to keep Alberta within Canada, and also some of the third-party advertisers coming up to support Alberta independence that will be starting massive um regulated campaign under Elections Alberta to promote referendum question for Alberta independence. Now, I want to tell you that it's going to be an interesting situation, and it might actually change the entire trajectory of Canada and how Canada is going to be as a country. My personal perspective on this, I do support Alberta independence, and this is my political opinion as a citizen has nothing to do with my professional opinion or occupation. By the way, a lot of people are asking me on this channel, "What do I do for a living?" Well, I work in real estate. That's what I do. Here's my phone number, 587-889-8393.
Uh here's my information over here. You can do a screenshot and give me a call if you're planning to move to beautiful Alberta Calgary cuz that might be It is right now one of the best places to live in Canada.
And it might be one of the best places to live in North America as well. We will see depending on the democratic process on what is going to be happening, and regardless of your political opinion, I am there to help you with your move to Alberta for really, it does not impact me in terms of whether you are for Alberta independence, against Alberta independence, what kind of political opinion you have, and any None of those things really matter to me in terms of professionally. The only thing I can do is I have one vote and I can choose who I give it to, just like everybody else who is a citizen in Canada, regardless where a person was born. If you're an immigrant who has got their citizenship, you are Canadian, you get to vote, you get equal rights, and don't let anyone in Canada tell you anything different than that. See you next video and glory to Alberta. Bye for now.
