Ukrainian drone forces crush Russian command post in occupied Pokrovsk

[00:00:03]Operators from the raid regiment of Ukraine's unmanned systems forces carried out a strike on a command post belonging to the ninth motor rifle Brigade of Russia's 51st combined arms army in the Russian occupied city of Pokrovsk.

[00:00:22]The Ukrainian unit said Russian troops had concealed the command center inside the ruins of a damaged high-rise building in an effort to avoid detection and targeting.

[00:00:32]However, Ukrainian drone operators were still able to locate and hit the site.

[00:00:37]Russia's 51st combined arms army was established in August last year using units from the so-called second army corps of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.

[00:00:48]The formation has been heavily involved in combat operations in the Donetsk region.

[00:00:53]The raid regiment stated that the destruction of the command post is expected to reduce Russia's ability to coordinate and plan offensive operations in eastern Ukraine.

[00:01:03]The regiment had previously struck another Russian military target in late April targeting a temporary deployment site of the 36th Brigade of Russia's 29th combined arms army, which is also active in fighting in eastern Ukraine.
