To know more about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, we have with us India's Ambassador to the UAE, Mr. Deepak Mittal. Ambassador, uh thank you so much for joining in on DD India. Indeed, it was a really, really special visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I know from ceremonial welcome to both the leaders meeting, uh what do you make of this visit by Prime Minister? Another uh milestone visit of uh His Excellency Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to UAE.
Uh This is his eighth visit. But every time it becomes very special, and this time it was made even special by the President of UAE who personally came to receive him to the airport.
As you would have seen how the UAE uh fighter aircrafts escorted the Air India One flight as it came into UAE space. So, great honor extended. Exceptional and uh special gestures.
As also with the presence of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalid, and Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan, who were present to see to during the meetings and also meet the Prime Minister. We all know that energy sector forms the bedrock of the relationship between both the nations, and there were some key outcomes regarding energy sector as well.
Uh what do you have to say about that?
Well, you're right. Uh India UAE has a very strong energy partnership, and during this visit, both leaders had a very detailed discussions, and significant outcomes did come.
Uh both sides had an agreement with Indian companies and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company uh want to look at how to enhance the participation of the UAE company UAE in the India's strategic petroleum reserves to increase uh storage capacities to 30 million barrels.
Uh second to look at how do uh establish new uh reserves in India including in Chandikhol in Odisha which we are looking at developing for UAE's partnership. Third to also look at how do you uh establish new uh strategic uh reserves for the gas, LNG, and LPG in India.
Uh there's an understanding which is reached to work together.
And there's also uh to work towards long-term LPG uh supplies from UAE to meet India's need.
Uh so it has only fostered and deepened that uh energy partnership in a very win-win fashion.

Uh well, that was indeed a very successful visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to UAE. He met the President of the United Arab Emirates and both the leaders discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between both the countries and of course uh and new ways, new opportunities that lie in the future.
