Putting tiny CHEEKY tarantulas into BIG “mansions” !!! Well, for them it is!Added:
1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 it is time it is time for these six to be in a mansion because I think they've been quite some time in these enclosures so this is my pumpkin patch now if you guys know pumpkin petch tarantulas the hopa species Colombia there are two kinds there's the grass there's the Klein grass being the bigger version which gets around three to four inches and the Klein which are these guys they get about two to three in Max 3 in is already pushing it now all of these guys are in fact on sex I bought them quite some time ago maybe like a year or two ago and they haven't really grown a lot well technically they did it's just that they're a very very small species hey where did this one go yep there it is so as you can see over there there is the pumpkin patch now fun fact the pumpkin patch is the logo of this channel now story small little story so how did I get to that logo on my channel now all my videos I film using my mobile phone so I'm using currently I'm on the iPhone 13 not 12 13 mini and the Pumpkin Patch logo that you see on the channel That is actually our hopus species Columbia gross which is the bigger one but I took that picture when it was around this size it crawled on onto my leg my knee and I took that photo with my iPhone 5 cuz when I started this channel back then I was filming with my iPhone 5 so I think that picture quality was pretty good for an iPhone 5 so that is why I decided to use that as the profile photo so yeah without any further Ado let us rehouse these guys into these container so it's quite big I would say it is about 5 to six times the size and and technically this could be their permanent enclosure but it will not be because the substrate does not go very deep but it is in fact around the same height as oh he's already eager to come out look at that look at that oh my God is that not freaking adorable or what but yeah anyways I've got some water over here to dampen the substrate just a tad bit more because these guys do appreciate a little bit of moist mixture from time to time I also went out and got some Leaf litters so that can act like a hiding spot they can dig under and just have some fun look at this this is a little twig that I can snap and use for two enclosures and just put it like that just make the enclosure look nicer with a little bit more character it's got some bark that we can put around you see perfect height right there well mainly it's for the character of the enclosure cuz if you just put cocoa fiber which is the substr straight it's not going to make the enclosure look nice now is it and also these things will allow the Tarantulas to have like an anchor point that way they can start their web somewhere and build a web around so this is what the first enclosure looks like I think it looks pretty darn good at the back here you can see the torrential will be able to go in over there this is the second one they all look kind of similar yep there's a height over there now the downside of this look at this there's a there's a little cave down there but the downside of these enclosures is is that well the tarantula would probably go missing and we're not going to be seeing them very often and that's the downside for us but it is a plus side for the tarantula look at that deep burrow for it to hide now it is a plus side for the Tarantulas because as the saying goes a hidden tarantula is a happy tarantula cuz tarantulas in the wild you may think people who don't know tarantulas they're this big ugly robust creatures that roam the floors of the forest Earth yeah but no actually these guys are very very shy and vulnerable so they're not the monsters that many people think they are cuz people are scared of spiders right and then when they think tarantula they must be some big brown hairy eight legged monster or something no okay most of tarantulas are they're not even that big so yeah this is a small species also categorized as a dwarf species so they are very very vulnerable to a lot of things actually I would say everything eats them so yeah except me anyways let's put them into their new enclosures that way we will not stretch them any longer oh yes I was saying about anchor points you see these leaves and twigs you look at this they put their webbing along like sticks and all you can see there's a little stick coming out so yeah that is what I mean by Anchor Point so if you don't have an anchor Point most likely they're just going to build a wet mat on the floor which is it's not really nice to see so I like when they have anchor points and it makes the enclosure very very nice and complexed now these guys can be bolty at times so we're going to have to be a little bit careful with that how do i ooh it actually okay it stands like that so now I can just maybe hopefully I can push this very very plump look at that look at that so plump so cute come on let's go you really wanted to come out just now right now it's time for you to officially come out not this way not this way look at how freaking cute the but that's why they call them the pumpkin patch now they don't really look like pumpkins but pumpkin petch look at that so yeah as I was saying this enclosure is kind of a mansion cuz it's so big for them it's kind of Overkill but well well it is what it is and I'm pretty sure they're going to enjoy this enclosure very very nicely I've poked two holes one over here and another one on the other side of the enclosure now these guys they do not need a lot of air to breathe cuz they do not breathe like ooh very very Bolly they do not breathe like us humans they actually yeah they don't need a lot of air so no you're not going to come up you are look at that he is very very curious and I mean hopefully it's a girl I'm not sure but yeah let's close it and that is the beautiful enclosure for the pumpkin patch so yeah let's move on to the second one I'm not sure if I actually did this unboxing video of me unboxing six of these pumpkin patches that back then they were like freaking tiny man cuz these guys being dwarfs when they're born they are absolutely freaking Tiny the tiniest things you will ever see so yeah if I did upload that video or if I did film it then yeah you can see the difference size now they're very very nice and big so let us get this one into it's enclosure okay hopefully my phone is focused so I feed them uh roaches or meal worms or chopped very very small super worms so I'm using a a twig uh not even a twig oh it's hungry look at that it's hungry it wants to eat The Twig but yeah um I am actually you know what I could put this in here and just let them come out right yes I think that would be good man this guy is hungry I think we're going to feed ooh I'm going to be feeding them later despite it being so plump the abdomen man they are so freaking hungry that's is why I like the species being small they are they show big attitude that's one good thing about small tarantulas they're small but their attitudes are big man this one's a little bit stubborn but it's okay it's okay you take your time oh my god did you see that it attacked The Twig bro you're not coming out you are going into your burrow be oh no oh no you might not come out my friend look at him there you go and if you're wondering why I poke the holes at the sides and not the top well for one moisture goes upwards when they evaporate right so if you poke the holes on the top water is going to evaporate quicker and your enclosure is going to dry much quicker which is not ideal you want the enclosure to stay somewhat damp so sides will be better S holes cuz evaporation will occur much slower that the moisture will escape this enclosure much slower from the size and also I usually stack these enclosure up something like that so even if I stack it they still have air to breathe if you poke on the top then how do you even expect the tarantula to to breathe right yeah exactly okay I think I'll stop rambling now and continue because we're not even halfway this is the third one o there we go same method I will put it inside like this that way it'll not bolt out well I mean bolt out of the oh okay no no go down buddy go down go down there we go don't come out don't come out don't come out there we go Beauty look at that absolutely Ely gorgeous man very very nice I love pumpkin patch sorry guys I'm just a little bit excited to put them into bigger enclosures cuz I've been wanting to do that for so long and I've been procrastinating I've put them I've had them in these tiny enclosures I think these are 1 oz Deli cups I've had them in here ever since I got them so this actually in fact their first rehouse after the unboxing so second housing first rehouse make sense yes good oh man this guy is even more stubborn the downside about like these small tarantula species are it is a real pain to like sex them like determine their gender it's so pain because I mean not not physically pain but it is painful because more like annoying because they're so small you're unable to actually see oh this one's very bold you're unable to actually not unable but very very difficult to actually see the flap if you guys know what I'm talking about then you know if you don't then go check out how to sex tarantal I've done several videos on that here is number five number five so oh whoops my gosh come on out come on out come on out you know when you want them to come out they don't come out when you don't want them to come out they'll be bolting on you especially when I feed them when I want them they just bolt out of the enclosures like that and get down man sorry my phone isn't focused like I said I film all of my videos on phones because I am very very bad with tech so I don't know how to work a camera so yeah I'm in my comfort zone so I'll just continue filming with a phone and also phones especially mine which is the 13 mini is small and my hands are small it's easier for me to maneuver and do videos for you guys I mean it's it is not as clear as a camera obviously but then again man this is YouTube YouTube I from what I know from what I have seen when I first started watching YouTube videos were never really high quality it's more like the fun of it and it's more like people just just ex just sharing what they do and I I feel like those those um really high quality videos kind of I don't know overrated or something and no offense to those who do high quality videos it's nice to watch all the footage and all very very clear but I mean to me I like Simplicity and like where did it go okay there it goes I like Simplicity and to me if you want to watch like high quality videos just go watch Netflix or something right I think YouTube is more like a hobby thing and I think it better describes hobby my hobby when I do it freely with my phone and yeah like how YouTube used to be sorry I'm just making myself feel better because I don't know how to use the camera all right guys so anyways that is pretty much it that is the rehouse of our hopa species Columbia Klein also known as the pumpkin patch tarantula aka the profile picture of this channel the display photo whatever you want to call it okay anyways guys I'll see you in the next video oh yeah since since we're still here give you a quick update on Stella you guys remember Stella yes she's still alive yes it's just that I never show her she's grown quite a bit as you can see a little bit bigger well actually much bigger I really hope that she's actually a female but fingers cross I don't know a phop PMA CR Forum now this one I didn't put any Leaf litter I just put P coconut fiber but it's okay these guys got Leaf litter cuz also as you can see these aop pelmas they don't really web they don't weet as much as many torrential species see a little wet over there but yeah that's that's basically it they don't really weet unless they want to Mt and they'll wa lay a wet mat and just lay on it but if it's like this they just pretty much move the substrate around as you can see she moved all the substrate to the middle that way she has like a valley at Sid I don't know what she wants to do but yeah anyways guys that'll be it for today's video hope you enjoyed and leave this video a thumbs up if you did thumbs it down if you didn't don't do nothing either up down or do anything you want I'll see you guys in the next video take care stay safe have an awesome one sorry this video is very very long so anyways peace
