An epitome is a perfect example or embodiment of something, representing the best qualities of a particular characteristic or concept. The word originates from Greek and originally meant a summary or encapsulation of the best qualities, but has evolved to mean the ideal representation of something. For example, Audrey Hepburn was the epitome of grace, the Taj Mahal is the epitome of Mughal architecture, and Cary Grant was the epitome of Hollywood charm.

It's yours [clears throat] to play with.
I am Paul. This is my take on English words and expressions they never bothered to teach me in school or explain to me in school which was way back when in the Netherlands. So an epitome is nothing because it's not how you pronounce the word. You say epitome as in Audrey Hepburn was the epitome of grace.
It means that she is a perfect example or the embodiment of grace. That's what we mean by epitome. It comes from Greek of course.
The word epitome or however they would pronounce it in those Greek days and it means really a summary of something and a perfect encapsulation of the best qualities of the book or whatever it is that you want to summarize. That is the original meaning of epitome and then it became to mean the perfect example of something like the Taj Mahal is the epitome of Mughal architecture.
Mughal architecture. That's or with his sharp wit and impeccable manners Cary Grant was supposed to be the epitome of Hollywood charm. As we're talking about movie stars apparently or his response to the crisis with the epitome of calmness and collectedness under pressure.
Or one more that a rusty unreliable car is the epitome of everything that's wrong about buying cheap. Now you get the meaning? It's really the perfect example of something the embodiment of something is the epitome that the ep epitome. That's the right pronunciation.
Epitome. Don't pity you, pity me. Have a great day. That's all teens. Bye-bye.
