This is about Lani, a Hawaiian monk seal on Maui, and why protecting her matters so much. Recently, Lani was swimming in the water when a tourist visiting Maui picked up a rock and threw it toward her. Thankfully, it almost hit her, but did not strike her. But even that moment is enough to remind us how vulnerable these animals are and how important it is for people to respect them from a safe distance. Hawaiian monk seals are endangered and they are part of Hawaii's ocean ohana. They belong here. They deserve peace, space, and protection.
Whether they are resting on the sand, swimming near shore, or simply living in the ocean that has always been their home. That is why we created our support Lani t-shirts. The design celebrates Maui, Lani, and the beauty of Hawaii with bright tropical colors, ocean waves, hibiscus flowers, and Lani at the center as a reminder of what we are standing up for. A portion of the money from these shirts goes toward Hawaiian monk seal conservation, helping support rescue efforts, shoreline education, habitat care, and community outreach.
This is more than just a shirt. It is a way to spread awareness. It is a way to say that cruelty toward wildlife is not okay. It is a way to share aloha and help protect Lani and other monk seals like her. If you love Maui, if you love the ocean, or if you believe endangered animals deserve to be safe, this is one small way to make a difference. Mahalo for supporting Lani. Mahalo for helping protect Hawaii's monk seals and mahalo for sharing aloha with our ocean ohana.
