Weather forecast: Afternoon showersAdded:
Okay, I think we all enjoyed the warm weather today, but I know some rain is headed our way tomorrow.
>> Yeah, late day though. We still have another mild day and okay, mild, warm, what do you want to call it? Not 85 or 80s. Look at these temperatures all across Southern New Hampshire through the Merrimack Valley. It was toasty.
Rochester, New Hampshire 86 and we had 75 and Marshfield 70 and Plymouth Mashpee Falmouth about 64, 64 in P-town. So, a little bit cooler there. Norwood only about 79, normally a very warm spot. Not in this setup with the south wind.
Sliding temps over the next few days. A few showers tomorrow afternoon tomorrow night. Then a split weekend forecast with a few showers coming in again on Saturday. The winds are brisk. These will stay up and so will the temperatures. That gives us a little bit of a push tomorrow to get those temps up into the lower 70s. Look at the winds though, they're not really backing off all that much tomorrow. Some gusts over 30 mph at times. Some gusts come down a little bit towards the evening, but we'll wait until the front passes to really shut down the wind. Today it was thunderstorms in Vermont and then up to New Hampshire. Did any of the rain too?
We missed out on this and all that's going to stay to the north tonight. Now, tomorrow that starts to come our way.
Comes through Great Barrington, Sunderland and also Springfield first and then heads eastbound. Notice the time, not at 9:00.
No, later in the afternoon like 1:00 they start moving towards Worcester and then this pushes in by evening. So, it's around for the evening drive. I'm not seeing a lot in the way of downpours.
These are rain showers, not intense bursts of rain or like, you know, a deluge or anything. Another burst around 11:00 and that should be it.
Unfortunately, there might be just some sprinkles Thursday morning on the Cape before we see it all pull away. So, for that reason the rain isn't around long time. You know the rainfall amounts are not going to be all that great. Maybe 10th of an inch to 2/10, 3/10 tops.
That's it. And maybe on Saturday we get about the same. So, you can see we're just getting little bits of rain here and there. Not enough really to put the dent in the drought. And the sun when it comes back out and you have 80 degree days, it almost negates it. 71 tomorrow for a high, 64 or 65 in Worcester. Those numbers may be a little conservative too. If we get a little bit of sunshine in here, we could be in the mid-70s.
Notice the warmest part of the day is early on before the showers move in and it cools us off into the evening, too.
And the cooling coming for Thursday and Friday. A little bit each day dropping back into the low 60s. Even the Worcester Hills in the upper 50s on Friday as the coolest day approaches. At least we'll have some sunshine on that day. Little bit of a breeze. And then it's back up again for the rain showers on Saturday and then again on Monday. We sandwich in a pretty good Mother's Day forecast though in between. The rain should hold off on Sunday night and come in on that time, not during the day.
This is the Saturday rain going through.
I mean, you know, you could get maybe a half inch if we get a good solid burst in there. So, there's some more optimism on Saturday's forecast for rain than there is for tomorrow.
And then again on Sunday night, there it is coming through and this should glide by into early Monday. too with another chance for wet weather. You can see that on the 10-day all summarized here, but 70s come back to us for Mother's Day.
That's great for my and then next week another dip. The dips are on Friday and on Tuesday, but notice we have 3 days of 70 plus on the 10-day. They're starting to get in there. Infiltration.
