WHAT THE HIK HAPPENED?

[00:00:34]Something a bit different tonight. I went out the other night and it was on one of my local permissions where it's a big sheep farmer.

[00:00:42]And I was there obviously controlling foxes or trying to control foxes.

[00:00:46]And I had two complete misses.

[00:00:49]Checked everything as usual as you normally do, the the moderator and everything on the rifle, the the scope rings and everything like that. So everything's nothing came loose.

[00:01:02]I just couldn't understand why I missed. I know everyone misses but I had two misses one after the other there and um really pissed me off to be honest. But came back and following day I put a target out at 100 yards and I was 4 inches left and 4 inches low.

[00:01:21]Um I've never never had that problem before. I've heard of other people losing zero with hit micro on on firmware updates and things like that. I've never had any trouble with it. But I just I don't know what happened there but yeah, completely lost zero. But I'll let you watch the film and see what you think and if if any of you have ever had this sort of problem please leave a comment and and let us know what the problem was. I've checked everything on the rifle. I checked the moderator, the rings, the floating barrel, the the studs in the in the swivel.

[00:01:58]Everything to be honest to just see if it was anything to do with the rifle and it wasn't. Nothing no problems with the rifle whatsoever.

[00:02:06]Following day I took it and re-zeroed it and it was 4 inches left and 4 inches low. So yeah, I don't know what happened there but yeah, watch the film and let me know what you think. If you've ever had this problem before and uh yeah.

[00:02:33]Well, here I am having a scan round on uh the first part of the farm and uh everything's going all right up till now and see this fox lying under the hedge.

[00:02:43]So I can just see his head and neck peeping across at the sheep and lambs.

[00:02:48]So put the crosshairs on his neck and this is where I start have trouble.

[00:03:54]Here comes number two trotting in.

[00:03:56]Gets to about 130 odd yards and I line up crosshairs up on the engine room.

[00:04:02]And another miss.

[00:04:07]Off the fox.

[00:04:20]>> [screaming] >> Yeah, so that's it. Not my finest hour there. I think looking back at the footage the the second Charlie if if I'd have aimed a little bit further back I might have connected with it or I could have I might have just blown one of the front legs off but I was aiming for a heart shot and completely missed. So I was pig sick to be honest. The drive home wasn't very pleasant.

[00:05:29]Um but it's one of them things but now that the the rifle's re-zeroed it seems to be holding zero.

[00:05:37]Um it's doing a half inch group at 100 yards so happy with that now. So fingers crossed this doesn't happen again.
