The Quad alliance (India, Japan, Australia, and the US) faces challenges to its relevance due to perceived US unreliability, which has prompted India to improve relations with China; however, the alliance requires further strengthening to maintain its strategic importance in the Indo-Pacific region.

Marco Rubio Lands in India: Alok Bansal Explains If the Quad Is Losing Its Relevance?Hinzugefügt:
This is an interesting point of view that our relationship with Marco Rubio's visit is only going to bolster. But, I'm going to speak about the relevance of Quad. Do you think that the relevance of Quad as, you know, as a group, do you think it has gone down over the last few years?
As far as I'm concerned, undoubtedly, there is no doubt. I think every last 2 years have indicated and have actually the perception in the New Delhi has been that the US has turned out to be an unreliable friend, as you would like to say. And I think that has probably led to India improving its relationship, trying to improve its relationship with China. And I think similar views prevail to some extent in both Australia and Japan as well. So, I think Quad as a grouping would need further strengthening.
How and when is the question that one needs to see.
All right. Thanks a lot, Mr. Alok Bansal, for your time. Now, Sierra continues to be with us for a comment on what will be benefiting India and what will benefiting America during this visit. Coming to you, Sierra. Now, if you can put into perspective the question about Quad also and the point that Mr. Alok Bansal highlighted here.
He's a clearly stating that the trust deficit that many countries are having with America.
If you can put that into perspective any counter to that argument by Mr. Bansal.
Sierra.
Well, I would say, you know, I know there's a lot of contention right now around the H-1B visa issue. And so, I would say on that that, you know, the US The First of all, this is not about a specific country. It's not about targeting India or any other country.
It's about internal um, migration reforms that do need to take place, uh, for, you know, for the benefit of, uh, the prosperity of America, which also, in turn, you know, benefits others.
Um, and I think that the, what we want to see with India specifically is we want to see, um, if we can work with India to make space for some of those jobs to actually be in India.
Um, and that could, you know, help as we go through this transition of, you know, these migration reforms, um, and work visa reforms. Uh, but we don't want to just leave people hanging. We actually do want to see those jobs, uh, you know, popping up in India wherever possible. Um, so that'd be the first thing I would say. And then the second thing on the rebalancing of trade, um, you know, I think it's just President Trump has made it very clear that America has to re-industrialize.
And, um, you know, that's something we have to do for our national security, but it also benefits the national security of our partners.
Um, and so, you know, this is just, uh, an issue that we have to work through, and I think it is
