Andy Burnham was trained by a US billionaireAdded:
Andy Burnham is presented as king of the north, but what if he's just yet another mayor who has been captured, influenced by Mike Bloomberg, the US billionaire.
Bloomberg, I'm sure you will know I talk about a lot. He, in my view, runs London through Sadiq Khan, and it looks like crap. You know, my first problem with this arrangement is that it's undemocratic, but the second is everything just looks terrible. And they pump out videos all the time, propaganda. Look how wonderful this Bloomberg initiative, and everyone's going to be cycling and living in a utopia.
The contrast couldn't be more stark. So, any other mayor or person that's influenced by Bloomberg makes me concerned. Someone who's seen him basically turn London into a crime-ridden hellhole.
Burnham's connection to Bloomberg goes back as far as 2017, when he attended his Harvard Leadership School.
And it sounds very good on the surface of it, a bit like all the videos Sadiq Khan and Bloomberg pump out saying how brilliant they're doing. But again, it just begs the question of whether this leads to any quality results. And why is a US billionaire in charge of all these training programs that our mayors are going to? Because it wasn't just Andy Burnham in 2017.
He was also joined by Ben Houchen, who's the Conservative Mayor for Tees Valley. For anyone that thinks about the Union Party, thinks it exists, you might ask why Ben Houchen was there.
And another person that was Steve Rotheram, who is uh the mayor for the Liverpool City Region. So, that's three people already. And then we know that Tracy Brabin, the mayor of West Yorkshire, she also went on the Harvard course in 2022. And she's also been to Bloomberg's LSE course. Uh and LSE is linked to the Fabians and is just socialist good or so. Uh you could go on a whole new tangent about what kind of crap they turn out there. None of us really know what these courses teach in global mayors, because it's not just our regional mayors, but they are training tens of mayors from around the world each year.
And this plays very nicely into uh the C40 cities and UN blob. The gist is these are bodies that want countries around the world signed to their agenda.
Now, here's my cynical conspiracy theory. I don't really think it's actually that controversial, but the point is they uh they're transforming cities to these sustainable cities, meeting the UN sustainable development goals. But you've got people like Bloomberg and all the funders of C40 cities that are quite a lot of interesting people and organizations in there. And you wonder what are they getting out of this? Are they benefiting from the technology we're going to be moved to?
Bloomberg, you could say it's certainly benefiting from running all of these training schools pumping out our mayors.
So, Andy Burnham did go on that training course. And last year, Mike Bloomberg got brought into Downing Street to meet Keir Starmer and uh Rachel Reeves, a mayor to farm blue who I've covered a lot before. She was a former of Best for Britain, the pro-EU lobby group, and she went to the New Economy Organizers Network, which I call Soros School sometimes, although it's also founded by Quakers and quite a few big left-wing funders, and they give people scripts even to promote things like ULEZ, the ultra-low emission zones, which you know Sadiq Khan is perhaps the biggest advocate of. So, isn't it funny all these little correlations you're seeing?
So, in this meeting, Mike Bloomberg was discussing further plans to train up mayors, and you can see him looking very cozy with Keir Starmer, who he's met multiple times before.
And, you know, they they've had meetings in Bloomberg's office when the Labour Party first got elected.
And the devolution is something that Andy Burnham, coincidentally, is also really keen on. And, yeah, so Andy Burnham, when he heard about this announcement that Bloomberg Philanthropies is going to basically get more business through the government through training more mayors as this wonderful devolution takes place even more. Um and he talked about his partnership with Mike Bloomberg, and they there's even I found in my whole article about the partnership here and what Burnham had to say, there's even a quote of Mike Mike Bloomberg saying how he loved working with Andy Burnham, and Burnham saying like, "Oh, all the support you've given us." And it's a bit like, um but this is just such hypocritical nonsense from a government that has gone on so much about foreign interference when it's the other way, that has made really precise rules to attack reform, basically designed to stop reform from getting funding when what do you call this? It's worth saying that Bloomberg So, he's really famous in America. I mean, he he was the three-time mayor of New York City.
He's now really involved with the Democrats and he stood to be their presidential uh the nominee for the presidential candidate for the Democrats in 2020. And one BBC article said he spent about 400 million dollars.
And it could be much higher on his campaign. Right, so he has lost badly.
So, that tells you the US, you know, they're really not keen on him. It's like he's had to sort of give up on that.
And now Europe gets him. Although to say the C40 Cities blob also extends to the US pumping out their stupid ideology that does not work in practice. So, we've got him instead training up our mayors, training other mayors through his schools.
And um and I just think it's none of his business.
And really it all just comes back to that point I made at the beginning. I mean, yeah, number one, totally undemocratic.
But number two, where is the evidence that this is actually working?
London, as I say, looks crap. You know, I could be more convinced about all these Bloomberg schools if they actually looked good. But it's not translating into things that the British people like, at least not in London. So, I'm very concerned about another person who has had the Mike Bloomberg treatment.
And I think it's another reason to be wary of Andy Burnham. You can watch my other video that explains how Burnham ties into the left-wing blob.
