Healthcare policy changes can disproportionately affect vulnerable populations, particularly those relying on government assistance programs like Medicaid, creating significant barriers to healthcare access for low-income families, seniors, and disabled Americans who may have previously supported political candidates who proposed such policies.

Trump VOTERS Are LOSING Their MEDICAID..And Now They're PANICKINGAdded:
[snorts] >> So, I go through months [ __ ] 4 years trying to get help.
My insurance company is willing to pay, willing to pay for me to go get treatment out of state.
>> [laughter and gasps] >> And every [ __ ] time I get a call, they tell me, "Sorry, [snorts] we're no longer taking out of state Medicaid." And I'm like, "Okay, so what am I supposed to do?"
Because I literally can't I have nowhere to go. There are no places for me to go.
>> [snorts] >> And then I asked her, "Okay, so what if it what is it out of pocket?" And she said, "Oh, we're not allowed to do out of pocket if you have an insurance."
So, you won't take my insurance, and then you won't take my [ __ ] money? If I'm going [snorts] to pay out of pocket, how does that make sense? I am so tired.
>> [laughter] >> I am so tired.
I am so tired [laughter] of this.
I don't understand how the system could be like this. I don't understand. Like, I'm literally crying on the phone, and the lady's like, "Why?
>> [snorts] >> I don't know what to tell you. You could call this person." And I was like, "I literally she was my doctor previously."
And [snorts] and she couldn't help me. That was one of the reasons why I was >> [snorts] >> referred to go to Jefferson in the first place.
So, now I don't know what I'm really going to What?
I [ __ ] hate this place. I [ __ ] hate this place.
My husband and I received a medical bill in the mail yesterday, uh which happens a lot because we have horrible insurance. Hey, Cigna, take that. Um I need someone to explain this one, however, to me like I'm 5 years old, because I don't understand what the [ __ ] is going on. I don't understand the American health care system as a whole, but this bill specifically really don't understand this.
>> [music] >> Need y'all to help me get there. Let me explain what this is for. My 5-month-old daughter had a fever last month. We bring her to the doctor like any responsible parent would. They do a nose swab to test for the flu, COVID, all those things because it's cold and flu season.
Good decision, right? They send it off.
She's good. She's got an antibiotic. The fever goes away in a few days. Great. I assume we're going to get a bill for it because we have horrible insurance. Hey Cigna. But do I expect to receive this bill? No. I Google it because I'm curious, you know, how much this might cost us. Google says that the max amount in a in most situations that you'll pay for something like this is about $300.
I'm like, "Whoa, that's a lot of money.
$300 that's a lot, but hey, you know, it's worth it. That's our baby. Of course, we'll pay for that. No big deal." And maybe our insurance will cover a bit of that. So, maybe it'll only come out to like 100 bucks. You know, we pay for insurance. Maybe they'll do something. Get this bill in the mail yesterday and when we open it to our surprise, not $100, not even $300. At this point, I would be happy to receive $300. It was not $300. I want you to take a moment to think about it and guess. What would you assume a cotton swab up the nose would cost? Take a guess. If your guess was $984, I don't know why you guessed such a specific number, but you'd be right.
Now, this is the part I need to explaining. Why does a nose swab that when you Google it says it won't cost merely a thousand dollars cost a thousand dollars?
Hey, what the [ __ ] is going on? What do you mean by that? A THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR a Q-tip UP A NOSTRIL?
WHAT? AND you're thinking, why do we have insurance? Why do we go to the doctor? If we went to urgent care, this would have been 50 bucks.
50 bucks.
Done. Oh, speaking of insurance, do you want to know how much they covered?
If you guessed like the majority, you would be wrong. If you guessed basically nothing, you'd be right. They covered less than half. We owe $443.27.
For a [music] flu nose swab.
Why do we have insurance? I need somebody to explain this bill to me.
Like, how does that make any sense? How does it make any sense to charge $1,000 for a nose swab? And how does it make any sense that we're paying for insurance that covers less than half of that?
Cuz I'm at a loss. Cuz I don't know what the [ __ ] going on. Do you work in healthcare and you want to help me understand this? Please. Also, if somebody wants to send me $443.27 so we can pay this, that'd be great, too. What to do? Do I call them and like be a Karen and be like, "Hey, do you know how much gas costs?" Like, I don't have an extra $443 laying around to just give you for a nose swab. I don't know.
I don't know. If anyone knows, help me understand this. They said my kids' insurance is going to be cut off on January 31st. And I'm like, "Well, why?
I thought that y'all cover the children of people even if the people are working and making too much." She was like, "No, if you make over $3,000, it gets cut off cut off."
I'm like, "I've been making over $3,000 a month since 2024. That's when y'all approved me." She said, "You were supposed to be given a 6-month grace period." I said, "Well, I wasn't. My kids had insurance the whole 2025." And she was like, "Okay, well, it's you know, it's it's not going to be active after January 31st. Instead of what I'm paying right now, $115 every 2 weeks for insurance for myself, now it's going to be $230 every 2 weeks for insurance for me and my two children."
That's crazy. Almost $500 for for me and my two kids. Like I should want A woman on Twitter said that a lot of people are about to lose their Medicaid and not realize it because their insurance is called something else in their state.
Perfect example uh would be Texas, which is STAR or STAR Plus.
CHIP uh Georgia, Georgia Pathways.
New York, New York State of Health, California, Cal-Aim or Medi-Cal, uh Maryland, HealthChoice, Illinois, HealthChoice Illinois. These are just some examples, and people really don't know that their insurance is Medicaid because they don't know what the real name is. I mean, even Florida has an acronym, is SMMC.
If you're not paying attention, you won't even know that that's Medicaid.
All I'm saying is is that a lot of people are about to suffer, and it's not a fault of their own. It's just the government doesn't want to help you.
So, we have more troubling news um because of Trump's handling of the economy and the healthcare crisis.
United Healthcare just announced that they are dumping they are removing 1 million senior citizens, 1 million, from the United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plan. 1 million.
Why are they doing this?
Because their profits are tanking. Why are their profits tanking? Because medical care costs are increasing. Why are they increasing? Because of the what? Upwards of trillion dollars in cuts to Medicaid and Medicare.
And because there are so many more people now uninsured.
They can't afford these premiums. And no, they're not illegals. They're American citizens. But all of these people who are increasingly uninsured still go to the hospital, still need emergency care. So, that gets passed on in the form of higher medical costs to those that are insured.
Now, the 1 million senior citizens on the Medicare Advantage program is considered a low-hanging fruit for United Healthcare because they're specifically targeting senior citizens on low income.
They pay the lowest in premiums, but they utilize a lot of medical care, so the return on investment is getting poorer and poorer for this for-profit healthcare company.
And those million senior citizens, a lot of them are located in red states.
This affects you, too, Trump voters.
Seniors who voted for Trump, this affects you, too.
What's most troubling is that economists are saying this, what United Healthcare is doing is a leading indicator of what's next, what's going to be done by other for-profit insurance companies.
And once they cut senior citizens off of these plans, you better believe it, they're going to go after other programs for insuring people who are not senior citizens.
Great job, Trump.
>> [music] >> Hey guys. Well, y'all were right about Trump. Not that I voted for him, please understand, because I did not.
But, April 1st is very true, because I got my letter today.
Both me and my husband have has been totally kicked off any medical and it starts April 1st.
Now, he was only on a spend down because he also has Medicare, which was fine for him.
Um and all he needed was his prescription help, which he joined another program anyway, because things were getting really funky for him.
But I found out today that as of April 1st, I no longer will get any help whatsoever.
I did a lot of crying today. Um apparently my husband told me I had seizures today.
Um apparently it was a really bad one.
Um that both it took both him and my son in order to calm me down because I apparently hurt my husband really bad and my my son had to help get me off of him because I don't know what I'm doing.
And it's not a good thing because I have a couple of life-threatening things going on inside my body where I do need medication for.
>> [snorts] >> And I can't afford to pay for it because we're barely scraping by to pay our bills.
And I don't know what I'm going to do.
And I called welfare.
And she says that my husband makes too much on disability.
I don't understand that sentence.
He makes too much on disability.
I'm not even sure how that's possible >> [snorts] >> when we can't even pay our bills.
We don't get food stamps, so we pay our pay for our own groceries.
We pay our electric, we pay our water, we pay for everything. There is nothing that we get handed to us.
We make every freaking dollar stretch.
I do not take rent from my older son.
Because, you know what? He's saving up so that he can move out on his own. So, he can do the things he needs to do.
And I want him to do that for himself.
He did not ask to be born into a family that's poor.
And I'm not going to take that out on him.
All you people who voted for Trump, thank you.
Thank you for taking away from my livelihood.
Thank you for taking away from my health.
Because now I don't know what I'm going to do or how I'm going to take care of my family.
Or how I'm going to take care of myself.
I'm scared. So, please pray for me cuz I am terrified.
70% of the doctors who looked at how much they were going to get reimbursed said, "We're going to have to drop these plans."
70.
You better keep your appointment. For those who have Medicare, Medicaid, any type of state or federal funded insurance plan, whatever it is you need to get done, I suggest you get it done now.
Whatever appointment you have scheduled, I suggest you keep it. If those folks say to come tomorrow at 3:00, I suggest you go. Because come July, when that big beautiful bill kicks in, most of these offices, medical, dental, most of these facilities, whatever surgery that you've been putting off cuz you just didn't feel like going, whatever little office you just kind of felt some kind of way because they didn't want to accommodate your schedule, a lot of them are going to drop these policies.
A lot of them.
They're going to get paid so little on the services that they render that they will not be able to afford to see you.
Because there going to be so many cuts.
All the money that was funding these programs, they went over to war. They gone over to Israel. They went over to Argentina. Trump sued the government, now it's in his pocket. So, if you voted for Trump and you need knee surgery or you need a crown or you need to get a checkup just know you did it to yourself.
If you have a parent that needs any type of nursing assistance, just know you did it to yourself. Healthcare in America is so funny because what do [clears throat] you mean? I just found out I'm diabetic.
And then today I found out that I lost my Medicaid and I don't know why.
What do you mean? What do you mean?
>> [laughter] >> They love it here.
