This video illustrates how political accountability manifests in municipal governance through the conflict between Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over the Chicago Bears stadium situation. Governor Pritzker publicly criticized Mayor Johnson for having 'no plan at all' to keep the Bears in Chicago after three years of discussions, while the Bears narrowed their options to Indiana or Arlington Heights. The video also highlights ongoing criticism from Chicago aldermen regarding the mayor's record on public safety and affordable housing, with specific examples of ATM robberies and other crimes occurring in the city. This case demonstrates how elected officials face scrutiny when their stated priorities (such as keeping major businesses in the city) conflict with their actual policy outcomes and public perception.

🚨“He FAILED Chicago!” – Pritzker TORCHES Brandon Johnson Over Bears DISASTERHinzugefügt:
And we're back. And we're back, y'all.
Thank you for watching today. Go ahead and hit that like button, my people. You know that it helps us out a ton. And of course, it helps you because it helps us keep bringing you these stories every day.
Now y'all, you know that in the city of Chicago, your boy, the illustrious sub 10% approval rating mayor Brandon Brandy Boyd Johnson, he's been saying for months and months, if not years, y'all, that the Chicago Bears should stay in Chicago. He likes to when whenever someone challenges him with a tough question at his weekly press availabilities or really whenever he likes to talk sports, y'all. He'll say, "Hey, hey, hey, the Bears are doing well, y'all." Or he'll talk baseball.
So, so Brandon Brandy Boy Johnson seems to be a sports fan. So, you would imagine that right now, while the Chicago Bears are deciding whether they'll stay in the Windy City or whether they'll move across borders into Indiana, you would imagine that your boy that he would be active in trying to keep Chicago Bears in Chicago, right?
Well, y'all, the problem is he has something else, another priority that I that I think is probably more important to him, and that's sticking it to the billionaires. That's sticking it to the rich class of people. And as you're going to see here, the billionaire, the billionaire governor of Illinois, of course, Chicago is in Illinois. The billionaire governor of Illinois, JB Pritsker, who's also working to keep the Bears in Chicago. He says that Brandy Boy Johnson is basically doing nothing.
You can see it here. This is just today, y'all. It's not an old clip. Prrisker says, "Your boy is not doing anything."
Now, that should not surprise you, y'all, because Johnson is also being criticized by the alders in his government for not doing anything as well, y'all. You're going to see that here. And we'll also see, you know, we always like to bring one anecdote, y'all. How about robbers knocking off ATMs? knocking off ATM machines from gas stations, even hitting a even hitting a police officer with a car in the process. Y'all, we're gonna bring you all that, but it's going to be a tight quick video, y'all. Without further ado, let's go ahead and get into it.
>> And they want to sit at the table as well.
>> Well, that's a conversation between those municipalities and the Bears. Um, you know, as to the prospects for uh passage of a bill or, you know, what what might happen with the Bears? I mean, I would say uh I know that the mayor has no plan. He has come up with no plan at all about uh how the Bears would end up in the city of Chicago. So, that's problematic. I'd love them to be in the city, but uh we're 3 years in now and he still has no plan. Uh so, the Bears have said publicly, and I think they said so last Friday again, that they have now only two options and that's the state of Indiana or Arlington Heights. uh we would like them to stay in the state of Illinois.
>> Now y'all, I'm no fan of old JB and I'm no fan of your boy Johnson, but uh if it if it were between both of these guys and trying to save business, trying to keep business in town, I'm going with JB. And so I'm fighting hard to make sure that they can do that. And also very importantly because my north star is protecting the taxpayers of Illinois that we have something that works for the state of Illinois that's fair as we are being fair with with other businesses that want to come to Illinois or expand here that we're being fair in the allocation of support for a business expanding in the state while also protecting taxpayers across the state.
>> Get it done before May 31st. you know, that's in the legislaturator's hands, as you know. I mean, I >> Yeah, y'all. So, it doesn't look very good for the Bears staying in Chicago.
To me, I think your boy just wants to stick it to the billionaires more than he actually wants to keep business around, y'all. Unfortunately for him, a lot of the business actually does come from billionaires. And that's probably how they became billionaires, by creating business, y'all. So, the Bears look like they're about to change locations outside of Chicago. But one thing that has not changed in Chicago is the crime. Y'all check out this string of ATM robberies from gas stations with even a police officer getting hit by a car by a squad car. Nonetheless, this is all in Brandy Boy Johnson Chicago.
People, >> ATM thefts continue to be an issue all across Chicago. And today, a group of offenders hit multiple gas stations, even stealing a Cook County Sheriff's vehicle at one point, leading to a chase on the Dan Ryan. Surveillance video shows the moment masked offenders yanked an ATM out of a gas station using an SUV just before 5:00 this morning near 71st in Damon. CPD says that was one of at least two confirmed robberies today as the owner of the gas station shared photos of that damage caused by the offenders. And then just 2 hours later, another gas station near 55th and South California was hit by a group of mass offenders who pulled up in a different black SUV.
>> That's in progress at the Marathon 2800 West 55th Street. The offenders can be seen on camera trying to pry open that ATM all while the clerk was behind the counter calling police. After several minutes of trying, the offenders run out of the store as police arrive on scene leading to a chase.
>> It's a black Jeep SRT. There's no plates on it. This vehicle had been involved in multiple ATM thefts. Police say the four offenders then crashed into another vehicle near 31st in Michigan as three of them were immediately arrested. But police say a fourth person was able to hop into a Cook County Sheriff's vehicle and drove off.
>> Number four got into a Cook County Sheriff's car took off east from this location.
>> Illinois State Police, Cook County Sheriff deputies, and Chicago police all chased after the offender on the Dan Ryan, laying down what appeared to be spike strips, allowing them to stop and arrest the offender. The sheriff deputy was treated for minor injuries in that incident.
>> Now, if you listen to Brandy Boy Johnson, he thinks everything's going swimmingly, y'all. He thinks everything's going just just copathetic.
Everything is just just as it should be.
If you listen to Brandy Boy Johnson when he's asked if he's going to be running for reelection. So, Chicagoans, are y'all going to be putting the illustrious sub 10% approval rating mayor back in for more of the same?
>> Do you want to be mayor one year from now? Well, I want to continue to do the work that's working, right? And that's building safe and affordable communities. That's what my focus um is, and that's what it will remain. Uh the type of economic development that we're seeing throughout the city of Chicago um is unprecedented. The 78 Lincoln yards, those particular sections of the city sat dormant and vacant through multiple administrations. On one end, we're building affordable homes and housing.
On the other end, we're building a brand new football stadium. We call it soccer in America. Um, but it's those type of investments that I'm focused in on. On the south side of Chicago, we're going to build a brand new hospital. Advocate Health, a $300 million investment. It's the first hospital built on the southside in 100 years. And so, that's what my focus is, is building safe and affordable communities. A lot more work to do, but we are certainly moving in the right direction.
>> Now, there are many alders in Chicago that take exception to what your boy has to say about his record. Y'all, this is probably one of the most scathing rebukes of all of the alders. At least from the ones that I've heard. Y'all just listen to how this alder talks about oh old Brandy boy's job so far as as Chicago city may >> says the city is safer and more affordable. You disagree, don't you? I think all of Chicago would disagree with his assessment that we are safer, more affordable, and better off than we were when he took office. You know, there's been a lot of rhetoric coming out of the fifth floor. We see a lot of headlines, a lot of executive orders, but we what we don't see are concrete results in all of the neighborhoods throughout the city of Chicago. The mayor is constantly picking winners and losers, setting neighborhoods up against each other. But more specifically to what he says, we are without Shot Spotter. We are spending nearly a million dollars a unit to create taxpayer funded affordable housing apartments in certain neighborhoods throughout the city of Chicago. And we have yet to find a sustainable fa path forward for the entire city to be prosperous.
>> Okay. All right. So, he's not a fan of Brandy Boy Johnson, but he is a fan, I would imagine, of the the official statistics that show that crime is going down. Now, I know we just showed you I know we just showed you and we have shown you many, many times. We just showed you a crime spree in which a cop got hit by a patrol car, but that's just the outlier, right? I mean, that that's not what's happening every day in Chicago now, is it?
>> Are shootings down? No. Are communities safer? No. We have 82 individuals who were found dead in areas that previously had gunshot detection technology. Lives we could have saved had he put public safety over politics.
Those are real issues that he has to address and you can't ignore that.
Additionally, when we look at many of the other markers when it comes towards the overall question of public safety, are robberies down? No. aggravated assaults. No, we see smash and grabs continuing to this day. Just yesterday at 47th in Western, we had another gas station uh destroyed trying to get an ATM out the front door. So, yeah, y'all. It looks like the the governor's not feeling your boy. It looks like the city council, at least many of them are not feeling your boy. It looks like the voters are not feeling your boy considering he is the illustrious sub 10% approval rating mayor. What's next for Brandy Boy Johnson, y'all? They're asking him if he's going to run for reelection. Y'all, by that time, the Bears might be gone, y'all. By that time, the the Chicago Bears might be the Hammond Indiana Bears by that time. And they probably won't be coming back, y'all. So, what do you think? JB Pritsker says that your boy's not doing anything. He's not doing anything to keep the Bears in Chicago.
Do you think they'll stay or you think they'll go? Y'all, let me know what y'all think. Drop a comment down below.
