The video effectively dismantles the "mindset" trap by prioritizing physiological regulation over empty affirmations. It is a grounded reminder that you cannot simply think your way out of a body that still feels under siege.

If you’ve been stuck in survival mode, your body may still be responding to stress that your mind
Added:Let me put y'all on to the real reason why a lot of people cannot heal. It's because they're trying to solely talk themselves out of survival mode. You got to do more than that. When it comes to your body, your body is going to listen to your breath. So, like I've been telling y'all, trauma do not just live in your memories, it lives in your body.
This is why you can lie to yourself and tell yourself everything is fine. I'm cool. It's okay. I'm all right. I'm not hurt. Meanwhile, your heart's still racing, your chest feel real tight, your head about to explode, shoulders up by your ears, and your nervous system still acting like you're in danger. Why? As somebody who loves affirmations and tells my clients about doing daily affirmations, your body can't hear the affirmations if it feel like it's under attack. You can't technically command your stress hormones to chill out or relax. Like, those are like automatic systems. That means is they designed to protect us even when the danger is long gone. Do you know what you can control?
Your breath. It's one of the most powerful bridges between your conscious mind and your nervous system. Every inhale and every exhale is sending your body information. Now, the question you got to ask yourself on a daily is, "What message am I sending to my own body?"
Now, be honest, most people throughout the day are not taking deep enough breaths. They're breathing real shallow.
Body going to interpret that as we still in danger or we still running from something or we still in survival mode even if we just chilling on the couch.
It is not always responding to what's happening around you. It's going to respond to what it remembers. When you feel yourself spiraling out of control, I need you to take control of your breath. You can breathe in, hold it for 4 seconds, release for longer, aka breathe out maybe six or even eight times. As long as you make the exhale longer than the inhale. But, ultimately, just do whatever your spirit is led to do. I want you to do this for a couple of minutes because I want you to realize that now you're communicating with your body. This is you taking control and telling your own nervous system, "You can calm down. You can relax. We got this. We safe. We good. As somebody who was always in fight or flight, like this is why I became so passionate about nervous system regulation. Once you heal your nervous system, you learn how to receive. When people think their body is broken, I quickly remind them, no. It's just been stuck in survival mode for years dealing with trauma, stress, heartbreak, people pleasing, constant chaos. It's going all leave a signature emotionally eventually. So, y'all, this is why I'm so excited to be offering my new services here in Atlanta, Georgia near the airport, where I can tell you about your energy, but I can also show you. We going to look at them systems that's carrying the most stress. We going to figure out why you feel so depleted. We going to work together to heal that nervous system. So, whenever you ready, go on and tap in with me. You or a dot tech. You need to head to the wellness services center tab or the services tab. And just remember, awareness is always the first step.
Healing is the journey. If you one of them people that always ask yourself, "Why can't I calm down? I always feel anxious." Well, maybe it's because your body is not fighting today's battle.
It's responding to yesterday's trauma.
Once you learn to speak that language of your nervous system, everything going shift and change for you. I'm a witness to it. You got to tell your body, "I'm safe enough to let go." Nervous system do not speak English. It speaks breath.
It speaks safety and repetition. Now, get in them comments and let me know your thoughts. Peace, love, and light, and gratitude for watching.
