[00:00:53]US passport have to pay even when I go online to to do the to go through the process. I'll have to pay for the visa. But with Africans, tourism visa, they will all have to basically go online and apply for the visa for free.

[00:01:24]But more and more Africa, every African in Africa passport to go and apply for the visa in 48 hours is going to be for free. But when an American is in synagogue and they want a Ghanaian visa to come to Ghana, they will have to pay for that visa online before they can get a visa. I wanted to basically explain that an idea of what is uh uh going on.

[00:02:16]We have exempted are distinguished members of the diplomatic core, diplomatic passport holders will be exempted obviously. Um then countries with bilateral visa waiver agreements with us about 50 of them uh we will exempt we will continue to respect the uh sanctity of those visa waiver agreements that we have signed and the ones that we continue to negotiate. Student visas are exempted.

[00:02:45]Family visas are also exempted. So this is the exemption category. this e visa system diplomats are exempted, student visa exempted, family visas exempted. So the other ones they will have to make sure now in the system.

[00:03:13]Let me emphasize this morning there's been quite some debate on social media that there was some uh visa e visa contract which we are not respecting and that there could be judgment debt and all of that. Let me allay the fears of the people of Ghana that there is no such existing e visa contract. Nothing of the sort exists. We've checked through the files. Our director legal is here. Indeed, the minister of the interior also wrote to the attorney general to find out if there was any such contract and to also present to the attorney general for analysis the machine readable contract which existed and that is for visa stickers and the attorney general's opinion is that that does not represent an e visa arrangement. The machine readable contract is different from an e visa system. And so let me assure the general public that there will be no judgment that nobody no contract has been cancelled anywhere and we do not have any issues at all so far as contracting is attorney general through the interior minister.
