Added:In today's tutorial, we're simply going to consider that is physics as an exam build-up session.

So, a cathode ray oscilloscope is going to be a testing instrument that is used to measure and visualize electric signals as waveforms. So, it has got parts that can be given as letters yet to label.
And this, of course, can be everything that we are going to face that is in an exam, provided this is one of the concepts that can be in an exam.
So, of course, it says figure B8.1 shows a cathode ray oscilloscope. We've got parts labeled A, and of course, A is the control grid. And this is the part that controls the amount of brightness.
And then, we've got that is part labeled B. And when we talk about part labeled B, this one is the accelerating anode.
And of course, this one is going to move the electrons. And then, we've got part labeled C, which is or which are deflecting plates. So, these are Y plates, and they deflect the electron beam vertically. And then, we've got part labeled D, which are X plates, and these are going to deflect the electron beam towards the screen horizontally. So on A, name the parts labeled A and B. So A is going to be the control grid.
Then for B, [clears throat] we're going to say this one is the anode. If we want, we can say the accelerating anode.
Then on B, state the function of the part labeled C. So part labeled C, like I said, these are Y plates.
And then these are X plates.
So we're going to say um they deflect they deflect uh the electron beam.
