[00:00:00]interstate migration to start with so I've got data going back to 2019 2020 here and to current so Queensland was actually losing people in 2019 2020 2021 so net outflow of migration into state that is that would be covid related to covid related and then had a massive inflow 2021 2022 so 55,000 people into state this is coming [music] into Queensland so let's unpack that a little bit that's a 20 year high right that's big yeah that's like the biggest number that they've ever posted yeah >> and what's it been the following couple years so 32,000 coming in 2022 2023 29 23 24 and then the most recent data set 21,000 cool and what was it in 2019 before covid negative 21 okay so that 2019 data is probably a bit skewed there so what you have there is that big big delta change that's happened [music] the big delta change is hey Queensland's migration story has completely powered ahead and that [music] interstate migration has really driven that house price growth that we've had there probably unpack why a little bit as well post covid people were like hey I want to go live I want lifestyle when you think lifestyle Queensland does pop up
