[00:00:00]There are just hours to go before the polls open in Kentucky. [music] The battle over Congressman Thomas Massie's seat is intensifying. He is facing a challenge from a Trump-backed candidate, Ed Gallrein.

[00:00:12]>> And now Gallrein is getting the support of one of the president's top cabinet members, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, is set to campaign for Gallrein in the Bluegrass State today. The heated race clocks in as the most expensive House primary in US history. Ed Gallrein is the man seeking to unseat Congressman Massie, and he joins us now.

[00:00:36]Congressman, great to see you. Look, obviously it's well documented you have the support of President Trump. Well documented that boatloads of money have been spent here in this primary. But when you strip all that away, right, what is to you, from your perspective, the core pillars and the core reason behind your candidacy?

[00:00:57]Well, first of all, thanks for having me on and good morning to the viewers. In Kentucky, we don't count our chickens before they hatch, so you'll just have to call me candidate Gallrein. Uh but all that to say, I look forward to sending Ed Gallrein to Congress to replace Misrepresentative Massie with the help of the folks of Kentucky Congressional District 4, these 21 counties out here.

[00:01:17]All that to say, what I've heard from the folks out here as I talked directly to them day in day out since I got into this race back basically for about 15 weeks ago, if you take out the holidays.

[00:01:27]He's been running for 15 years. What I've heard from folks is he does not represent us.

[00:01:33]Nearly 85% of the GOP voted for President Trump in 2024 for the agenda he and the Republican Party put forward.

[00:01:42]Misrepresentative Massie, as he is called, our Term Limit Tom, who said he was only going to do two, maybe three, now he's asking for number eight, are fed up with him. He's abandoned us.

[00:01:54]He has betrayed us across the board.

[00:01:57]He's the MVP of the squad with respect to his votes.

[00:02:01]And it's just the stakes are going to get higher. Mr. Galvin, the president just posted on social media a moment ago or so about your opponent, Congressman Massie. He wrote this. He said, "The worst congressman in the long and storied history of the Republican Party is Thomas Massie. He is an obstructionist and a fool. Vote him out of office tomorrow, Tuesday. It will be a great day for America."

[00:02:23]Um, what do you think that that Congressman Massie has done that is at odds with voters in your state?

[00:02:32]Ma'am, he's betrayed us as I just laid that out. When you think about this, 85% of the folks in the primary knew exactly what they were voting for with President Trump and the Republican Party's agenda. Instead, misrepresentative Massie goes to Washington and he is the MVP of the squad. He is their honored swing vote to be the primary obstacle to the agenda the president and the Republicans are putting forward to unleash our economy, restore law and order, close the border, deport illegal immigrants, restore national security. At every turn, he votes against us. Back to your comment about this being an expensive race, there's a Pulitzer Prize waiting for media out there to look at where his money's coming from.

[00:03:15]His money is not coming from conservative Republicans. It is not coming from the folks of this district.

[00:03:21]It's coming from folks that love him. As a reminder, and I look forward to hearing outlining for the viewers here after I get off, look at his endorsements. Last week, The New York Times, Ro Khanna, you know, what you would consider a radical Democrat from California, the ladies of The View, Jasmine Crockett.

[00:03:42]It's a who's who of the people that despise us here in this district as well as conservative Republicans.

[00:03:48]It's it's really it's it's almost a Rorschach test in in in many ways because you he's been so well-liked and he's been there for a long time. This is not a new feud with the president. Final word to you about 30 seconds right to those people that are still riding the Massie train so to speak. Uh what do you have to say to them to get them to come to your side? I would disagree with your premise that he's well-liked. No, he is not. He is not well-liked. That's why they call him misrepresentative. He's gotten away with the top cover of the mainstream media like the New York Times. He came all the way to Kentucky and didn't even talk to me.

[00:04:23]And they ran a flowery article. He's had top cover of the media both local and national for years. No, he's not well-liked. Now he's being exposed for what he is from all the way from voting against defunding Planned Parenthood.

[00:04:34]You can't make this up. Facts are stubborn things. So the first time ever he's being exposed for what he is.

[00:04:41]He He has betrayed the conservative Republican. And again, look at where his money's come from. I stand for the folks here and that's symbology behind me is about servant leadership. That's what I'm going to give the folks of this district. That's what they deserve. I speak fluent Kentucky.
