[00:00:05]Still sounds strange saying that now.

[00:00:10]Nobody called it that when it started.

[00:00:13]Government didn't have the balls.

[00:00:15]It was unrest, they said.

[00:00:18]Disorder, tensions. [music] Same old words while the country was very clearly falling apart.

[00:00:27]I'm up in the lakes now.

[00:00:33]Quiet [music] enough to write.

[00:00:35]Quiet enough to think, which is half the [ __ ] problem.

[00:00:40]I was involved in all of it more than I should have been.

[00:00:44]And I can already feel [music] people starting to lie about what this was.

[00:00:48]There was the patriots, >> [music] >> the Islamic front, Westminster, or what was left of it anyway.

[00:00:56]And the Unity Movement.

[00:00:58]Then [music] all the gangs and black market lads feeding off the gaps in between.

[00:01:04]And everyone else just trying to get [music] through another week.

[00:01:10]Security, comms, moving things, hearing things.

[00:01:16]Worked close with the patriots.

[00:01:18]Close enough to [music] know this weren't just some passing riots from the second it kicked off.

[00:01:24]The patriots came out [music] of places this country had ignored for years.

[00:01:28]Towns, estates, farms, old industrial bits.

[00:01:33]Working people mostly.

[00:01:35]People who'd had enough long before the rest caught up.

[00:01:39]The Islamic front moved fast once things broke proper.

[00:01:43]They already had networks, structure, food, money, men, community ties.

[00:01:54]Westminster still did the speeches.

[00:01:57]We called them the bureaus. [music] That fit better by then.

[00:02:02]Less a government, more a machine still talking [music] like it meant something.

[00:02:07]Unity were all over it early on.

[00:02:09]Marches, slogans, all that. Thought they were going to hold the country together.

[00:02:17]Spent too long appeasing the Islamic front. Got used, then flattened.

[00:02:23]Most people adapted, [music] kept their heads down.

[00:02:27]Something happened in the summer of 2026 when the riots kicked off. It was like people were [ __ ] waiting for it.

[00:02:35]They didn't stop for ages. [music] To be honest, they never did.

[00:02:42]Government said it was under control.

[00:02:44]Police started backing off.

[00:02:46]Army got dragged [music] in.

[00:02:48]Didn't change what mattered.

[00:02:51]Once people stopped believing in it, government stops [music] being government. It's just a thing talking [ __ ] mostly.

[00:03:01]The economy [music] was absolutely [ __ ] Shops shutting, mortgages folding, >> [music] >> less and less on the shelves, prices all over the [ __ ] place, rations coming in.

[00:03:14]Then the black market taking over.

[00:03:16]Because once normal life starts [music] breaking down, there's always some [ __ ] ready to make money off it.

[00:03:24]By mid-2027 or so, >> [music] >> it weren't chaos anymore. It was just different.

[00:03:32]I could go on forever. That's why I'm here. Want to get it down while I'm still living it. The truth. What I saw.
