Later in the sunny town of Arles, he created some of the most famous paintings ever made including Sunflowers, The Bedroom, Starry Night.

After a heated argument with fellow artist Paul Gauguin, Van Gogh suffered a breakdown and famously injured his own ear. Even while staying in a mental asylum, he continued painting masterpieces filled with emotion and swirling color. In just 10 years, he created over 2,000 artworks.
