[00:00:12][music] [music] First Bali vlog. First Bali vlog. We are here. We're in Bali, you guys. I've actually been here for a couple days, so I figured it was time to start vlogging now that I'm settled in. First of all, look at this insane.

[00:00:39]Insane view. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. I've been staying in this villa in Balon, like by Balian Beach, which is a quieter area of Bali, and I'm leaving tomorrow.

[00:00:52]So, I wanted to show you, give you a [clears throat] little tour before I check out. This is my bed, and this is like a big storage thing here. I'll show you. But, of course, you know me, I don't put any of my things away in storage. It's all on the floor.

[00:01:08]This is like a big closet. Look how cool my pants are.

[00:01:14]I love them. Very Bali, I feel like.

[00:01:17]Anyway, oh man, this Hold on to your hats, girls.

[00:01:23]Behold the most beautiful bathroom you've ever seen. I've taken quite a few bathtubs. Look at this. It's literally freaking outside.

[00:01:39]Giant double sink. Hello. And then if we come out here, this is like the living room space.

[00:01:50]There's like a courtyard out here.

[00:01:52]There's a full kitchen around the corner here. And breakfast is included. So, villa staff come every morning and they take your breakfast order the night before. And I've gotten the same breakfast like every single morning.

[00:02:07]I'll show you tomorrow's breakfast. But you get breakfast. They come here and they cook it in the kitchen for you.

[00:02:13]It's amazing. The hospitality here is incredible. Had a scooter waiting for me when I arrived. You pay by the day.

[00:02:20]Yesterday, masseuse came and gave me a Balines massage literally right here.

[00:02:25]And she's coming back again today to give me another one.

[00:03:46][music] >> [music] [music] [music] [music] [bell] >> We're on our way to Cinnamon, but we stopped in Tan a lot on the way. And it's this little temple that when the tide is high, you can't reach it. It's on like a little island in the ocean. But this is the first time that I'm actually seeing some little shops in Bali. And I'm very excited to be walking around and looking at things. Look how cute.

[00:04:46]So this is the main temple and you can only reach it from the mainland when the tide is low.

[00:04:55]And here during high tide you can see this is where you'd walk up. Look at that. How special.

[00:05:05]So cool. I'm about to try the famous coffee luac, which is coffee beans that are ingested by a luak, which is a giant weasel, and then excreted and then made into coffee. And they actually have a bunch of luaks here at this cafe.

[00:05:57]This is the iced coffee and then a little bit of sugar. And just for a refresher, the coffee is his poop. So >> coffee. Hey MTB, welcome to my crib. I'm in Cinnamon now. We took like a three-hour car ride to get here. And this is the accommodations that we have for the next 5 days.

[00:06:32]It's like an open air villa.

[00:06:36]This beautiful infinity pool with a hot tub.

[00:06:44]What the hell was that? And it's overlooking all of these little rice patty jungle vibe. And it's incredible inside. That's what I'm going to show you. I'm so excited. Okay, so it is this incredible bamboo villa and it's open air downstairs. The inside I got this one because it's glass so all of these open, but it's air conditioned up there for sleeping. It's really hot here at night.

[00:07:21]Anyway, this is the living room.

[00:07:27]Little seating area. They're going to do a floating breakfast tomorrow morning.

[00:07:41]Do you hear that cat? And then we come up. Look at these stairs.

[00:07:50]This is the main bedroom. Look at the view. This is so cute. This gorgeous little seating area. [singing] And then these all open and you can actually hang out on this net. And look at that view.

[00:08:10]They're coming to bring afternoon tea.

[00:08:12]And they arranged a scooter rental. I want to get a massage really really bad.

[00:08:17]But there's really cool things to do in Cinnamon like visit waterfalls and spa and more spa and like ring making and things like that. So let's see what we get into.

[00:09:59]>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Okay, we are at Lake Bour today. We took like a 1 and 1/2 hour private car ride here. You get a private driver for the whole day and it literally costs what it would to take an Uber like across town.

[00:10:43]So, get a private driver. Also, the driving here is literally so scary. like renting a car. Don't ever do it.

[00:10:50]Seriously. So, we're at Lake Vur and we're going to take a little boat across the way. We signed up for a little tour.

[00:10:56]We're going to Truman Cemetery, which is I haven't really heard anybody talking about it. I don't know how much I'm going to film there, but it's basically like an above ground cemetery. And they have, I think, 12 or 11 people buried above ground. And they're in these little like bamboo cages.

[00:11:15]Anyway, I'll explain it when we get there, but I'm really excited. This is like my big thing that I really wanted to do in this area. So, we're just kind of waiting for our tour guide. It is raining. So, >> it's raining, but look at this. This is all dragon fruit growing and climbing up the trees.

[00:11:36]So cool. And this is where we're going to get on our boat.

[00:11:41]Okay, guys. First stop is the bathroom.

[00:11:45]Get excited.

[00:11:51]This is the toilet. And then you dump the water in.

[00:11:57]I haven't really figured out how to do this with pants on, so I've been wearing skirts, but this time I'm wearing pants. And I feel I feel like I might have to strip down.

[00:12:13]While the guy gets the boat together, they brought out some Bali coffee. So, this there's two both equally loud.

[00:12:28]Anyway, like I was saying, so for this Bali coffee, they don't usually use coffee filters. You're supposed to put like two spoonfuls of the beans in, let it steep on its own. All of the grounds will sink to the bottom and then you just drink the top and you leave the grounds in the bottom to drink.

[00:12:49]Anyway, perfect for a little rainy day on the way to the cemetery. Also, this weather is kind of perfect for a little spooky cemetery visit. Woo!

[00:13:21][music] [music] >> [music] [music] [music] >> We're on the island now and we have our local guide that's helping us get in.

[00:13:53]And there's a tree that covers the smell of the bodies so it doesn't smell bad in here.

[00:14:22]So, basically, you take this boat to this little village called Trrenan. The only way you can access it is by boat.

[00:14:29]And they have this really special cemetery there. You can only be buried in it if you're married and you die of natural causes. And it's basically at one time they have 11 above ground burials and the bodies are placed in these bamboo kind of structures to keep the bodies safe. When someone passes away, the oldest body of the 11 is removed and placed on the hillside and their skull is placed in like a special area and all of their belongings are placed on the hillside as well. And then the new body is placed in. So when I went in yesterday, someone had been there for 8 days and it's really interesting. They have photos of every single person. their family brings them food, brings them flip-flops, brings them toothbrushes because in Hinduism they believe that like you're on to the next um like lifetime and so their family is always bringing them things that they think they need like money, things like that. It's like a really really special place. It's a beautiful way to still like honor your loved ones.

[00:15:31]Every three years, the villagers raise a bunch of money and they take all of the remains in the area and they have like a big cremation for them and it's like a way of incorporating all of the elements into your burial. So, the cremation incorporates fire and then they release the ashes into the lake. So, it's like the water element, the fire element. It is just so beautiful. It was such a unique experience. Um, photos and videos were encouraged, but I just feel weird about sharing all of that on like Tik Tok and Instagram. So, I probably won't do that. I'm just conflicted on how much like I wanted to share because one, like some people don't want to see stuff like that. It was very much like a lot of skeletons. Um, but it was very interesting and just something like very special and led by a very local guide there. And it was just a very beautiful experience and literally like one of the most unique and special things I think I've ever experienced in my lifetime, especially like traveling abroad. So, okay, little recap of Trinan tour. We got to see a water temple and a big statue and then we went into the cemetery. It was literally the coolest tour I've ever been on. Most unique tour. The tour guide was super helpful. I'm going to link the booking below. I think it was on Airbnb, but you might be able to Google him. So, either one, I'll put whichever one I can find down below. Um, really unique experience. There was we saw like one other group of two people there. Uh so it really is just like a quiet little experience with like an authentic Balanese village uh which you don't really get uh through a lot of other tour companies and things like that. So that was super cool. Now we're headed to Tucatang Waterfall. We're going to go check it out. It's really cool here compared to Cinnamon. And it was raining all day. So I'm a little chilly. I don't know if I'm going to get in. I'm feeling a little car sick too.
