Create Aeronautics has Killer Robots?!Added:
Hello everybody. Welcome back to another video. Now last time we built a car which has vanished on us, but in this episode we're going to be giving this guy a little tune-up. Now you may think, "What am I looking at?"
This is a robot, but he can't really, you know, get around. If we drop him down, I mean, he can he can stand.
You know, I could I could make him walk.
But he can't really do much on his own.
All right, so we're going to start off by giving this little dude legs. And how are we going to do that exactly? Using swivel bearings and torsion springs. Now what's nice about swivel bearings is they can pass a rotational force to the object they are moving. So if I were to make this an object, it is able to rotate even when it itself is rotating. Now this might look useless right now, but this will be the basis for every joint on the legs. If we kick it up, it'll be it stepping forward, coming to the ground, kicking up for the other foot. So now we just got to replicate it lower on the leg. All right, so test run here. This is the bottom of the foot. Actually, I'm going to put a cog right there. That's the bottom of the foot. If I kick the foot out, boom, right? Bring the foot down.
Okay, I tilted it too much, but that's perfectly fine. All right, so another test run.
Kick foot out. Put foot down. Now we would want to keep the foot down, but kick it out.
Then bring the foot back. Kick the foot up. Okay, I think I've got something that might work.
Okay, so now this foot should kick back.
Okay, interesting.
All right, I think if we replicate this just reversed, then we'll have like a creepy crawly robot. Okay.
Oh. Oh, that was I made one of those toys that you like press down and they jump into the air.
Oh, that's right, cuz they alternate legs alternate. Okay, so I'm going to need to obviously alternate them as well. Okay, so I have it on one on each side. I don't think that's right, but I just kind of want to see what this does.
>> [laughter] >> This is so fun. I'm stuck. Please, someone help.
Oh god. Oh no. Did it break it?
Oh my god, it broke it broke it. All right, let's bring down the rotation speed as well.
Actually, that's probably messed me up a lot. Maybe just heavy feet is what I need.
Not necessarily sticky, cuz maybe that's flicking me around weirdly.
But if I have heavy feet, heavy, not happy, sad feet. You know, it's not exactly what I was looking for, but it does show some promise.
It's almost like leaping forwards like a rabbit or a frog.
What if I add more slime?
Cuz I kind of feel like it's hitting the edges and not really hitting the slime.
Woah!
All right, I'm doing flips.
I made the Leon Kennedy Tron 3000.
Okay, well, I can't figure out walking. I know it's possible. Um and I'll probably have to make a whole separate video on it because I thought it was a lot easier than it is.
Um it is not. So what we're going to try and do is keep it balanced while using wheels. Almost kind of like a um like that one tiny robot from Wall-E. I'm pretty sure it's only on one wheel. And I think that would be super cool looking.
Okay, we've already ran into an issue.
The wheel itself is not on a single block.
I must technically be able to stand.
Well, as good as one wheel is going to be able to stand, you know.
Okay, so it is doable.
Okay, first of all, rude. It's rude to shove people. I know you haven't been alive that long, but still, man.
That's amazing. All right, now the challenge is going to be keeping it perfectly balanced. This whole thing should be But holy crap, that's so funny looking.
All right, so this should work about the same.
Yeah, except for the higher center mass, which is actually going to be an issue I did not think about. Invert these, so Oh.
Look at him go.
Oh, he's like skipping around now.
That's so cute. Oh, how's he going to handle terrain?
Oh, brilliantly. Oh my gosh. It's like he's alive. Cuz he's I mean, he's wobbling back and forth, but it's not enough to mess anything up too bad, which means we can put redstone links on him. Okay, let him run now.
I should That's so cute, dude. La na na na na na.
Look at him go. Look at him go.
Just bouncing around, minding his own business.
Holy lord, it's what a cutie. What a cutie.
I got to stop real quick.
Link him up so he's not going anywhere if I'm not telling him to.
Oh, that would require some redstone logic.
Right? Cuz this is going to actually stop him. Dude, don't go over Oh, don't go over there, bud.
Turn around. Turn around. No! No!
He's gone. Oh, there he is. Now I've installed two mods to help with the space situation on our little guy here.
Tiny create and tiny redstone. Tiny create just bridges the two together adding redstone links, analog levers, and eight segments which act as like nixie tubes.
Tiny redstone is I mean, it's exactly what it sounds like. It is literally just tiny redstone. And honestly, I could make a whole video on this because there is just so much you could do with it like making that drone actually fly wherever you want it to, um redoing the iron lung, infinite possibilities, especially now that there's uh redstone link integration. Like, wow. That is absolutely amazing. So we're going to slap the redstone panel right there.
Bring him up.
And we need a redstone link. Sorry, a tiny redstone link. All right, now if I power it, yes. All right, that works perfectly. So now if I drop him down to the ground, power it up, he should start going. Oh, I'm out of energy. That's all it is. Okay.
around, bud.
Wow.
That is beautiful. It works it perfectly as intended. Look at that immediate stop, too.
I think I might have a new favorite uh combo mod here cuz this is really fun. I mean, really like the only thing that's limiting what you can make with this mod is your imagination and the other mods you have because if like now that you have this with create, like you could just make like a little control panel. You know what I mean? Like, let's plop this guy's head on real quick.
Almost Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, that's Let me just Okay.
So he should stand up. Oh wait, he's not going to He's too heavy. So I no longer need all of these links, right? If I'm thinking about this right, I can literally just slap these on. Oh, not the sides. Oh, that's right. Yeah, so tiny redstone the tiny receivers don't work on the sides, [music] which is something to keep in mind. I wonder what happens if I put a tiny lever on this.
Dude.
>> [laughter] >> Oh my god. That is so cool. Well, I want to hook it up to a redstone link because I don't want to go around clicking both sides. That's for plebs, bro. God. Okay, so we can toggle it on and off, which is uh pretty pretty crazy in my opinion.
I'm curious if Ooh, okay. Is it that interesting? You may think [music] it's just a funny hat, but in actuality, it's your doom.
Oh. Oh. No! [screaming] It's killing me.
Oh, you can see it poking out under.
If I get close enough, get closer.
Yeah, look at that.
I'm going to turn this this guy on.
little roam. Get rid of them all.
Get them. Get them. Yeah, get them.
Get them out of here. I've made a murder. I've made the Terminator, basically, is what I'm hearing. Yet he still chooses kindness because he won't come back and kill any more sheep.
Even when even when built for war, he just wants to frolic, which I think should be the the lesson of today's episode. Just kidding.
War, death, destruction. Look at this.
Look at this menace.
This monster I've unleashed on the public.
And then look at this tiny little face.
So so cute.
So cute. All right. All right.
Kill them.
Kill them. Run them over.
Yeah, there we go. Oh oh oh, victim two.
I'm victim two. Question, if I get a camera, I'm going to build up a bit of a screen here.
I'm going to put two viewfinders on this guy. Now, if I hook this viewfinder to this TV, then give it some power, there we go. Now, if I let him rip, look at that. That is that is that is something.
Now, he can just barely have one of any block on his head without him fully tipping over. Well, I hope you enjoyed today's video of Create Aeronautics Shenanigans. We made a pretty pretty successful-looking, not looking, pretty successful guy here. If you did enjoy today's video, please give a like, subscribe, do all the generic YouTuber stuff, and we will see you in the next one.
