[00:00:00]Pakistan's Deputy [music] Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has held talks in Washington with US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio in a key diplomatic engagement aimed at reviewing bilateral ties and regional developments.

[00:00:24]While Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to address a press conference [music] following the talks. Dar arrived in Washington earlier in the day after concluding [music] a three-day visit to New York where he held meetings related to the United Nations.

The Foreign Office had earlier confirmed that the meeting between Dar and Rubio would focus on reviewing bilateral relations between Pakistan [music] and the United States while also exchanging views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. It further stated that the discussions would include [music] strengthening cooperation in key priority sectors alongside Pakistan's efforts to promote regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. The Foreign Office added that the visit reflects Pakistan's [music] commitment to deepening its long-standing and broad-based partnership with the United States. [music] Dar is expected to return to Islamabad later today after completing his engagements in Washington. [music] The visit comes at a time when diplomatic activity is also intensifying around efforts to secure a possible peace arrangement [music] involving Iran. Islamabad is reportedly engaged in efforts to negotiate a peace pact aimed at ending the US-Israeli war with Iran. Meanwhile, US Vice [music] President J.D. Vance has said that the two sides are close to a deal though not there yet.
